    Processor and chipsets... Yeah, that's for the 5% of phone buyers who care about this kind of stuff. Screen brightness, battery life, charging speed, use single handed, vanilla Android, how the hinge feels, does the leather bind against your pocket or slide smoothly... That's kinda what most folks are into.

      @@brooklynforge4591 I'm with ya. Phones are too damn big nowadays, something like this sounds great. I like the idea of the Samsung Fold where you don't really open the phone unless you want a bigger screen, but in a half-sized form factor. I don't need a nearly 7in screen 99% of the time I use my phone, but it's nice to have when you want it. Definitely considering Razr+ since it's the first of these clamshells to offer decent functionality and size of the outer screen (at least in the US)

    i think another reason there is less battery on the razr+ vs the razr is that Motorola built the razr+ to be used closed more than open and so there is a smaller screen and less pixels to power for everyday use. With the standard razr you still have to open it to really intact and use it so its mainly powering the large display and so i think that we will see similar battery life from both.

    After two years with Z flip 3 I am never going back to a full size phone again. The pocket size of the phone is just too good and practical. The Motorola big half screen looks great and might be the standard for other flip phones too. The compromise you get when you go for a flip phone is absolutely okay to live with. While I am waiting on Z flip 5 I will definitely keep this under my radar and keep watching reviews to see what experience people have with the Motorola phone.

    razr reboot of this past years are still missing few things that make the original so iconic:
    1. the springy-ness of the hinge, opening & closing the original were so satisfying
    2. the signature shape & silhouette i.e. protruding chin & tapered top edge (the 2019 version was quite close but they didn't retain it in the subsequent releases)

    I got 2 of these new Razr+ phones in magenta. One of the phones heats up so fast and high on my charger it could melt my freezer...its that warm in my hand. I call it "explosion temperature". Worse on a 1k phone they did not include a phone charger just a wire that becomes useless after you transfer phone from android to android. (I wont even tell you what a nightmare Iphone transfer to Android was. They don't include a wire that can do that!). Seriously think twice before buying this shiny red phone. Its even impossible to figure out how to turn it off and it took me an hour to locate and sort of use the fingerprint scanner (I kid you not!). I have serious buyers remorse not to mention T-mobile is still not able to port over my old phone number from ATT from an unblocked paid off phone. I should have switched to the S23 Samsung Galaxy phones with a better battery (I think) and more reliable hardware. I am not at all impressed by this Razr+. Buyer beware. Think twice before purchasing. Getting free of ATT is a whole other nightmare. I will try T-mobile but so far we are not off to a good start with this subpar phone you can't turn off, port over your old att phone number from, or charge without spending even more money. My Google Alarm Clock phone charger turns one of these Razr+ phones into a handwarmer...yikes!

I think people are getting paid to talk about the exterior screen because I guess Motorola thinks that's all it has going for it. The interior display is too skinny, not enough ram, awful camera and terrible battery.... I think that they're paid to focus on the exterior screen because maybe that is the best part of it but if that's all you're looking for then play with your little outside display....

    Please be careful, I spent last year dealing with poor customer service from Motorola with their previous version of RAZR, which was defective. Now I own a $1000 paperweight...

    For that price i don't think you can go wrong. The smaller Razr which they haven't released the price on yet might be the phone to get. For under a $1000

      The 2020 Razr 5G dropped to $600 just a few months after it launched at $1,400+Tax.
      I doubt this new cheaper Razr 2023 model will sell that well.
      The Razr+ is what has people so intrigued with its larger outer display.

    I'm so glad that I bought the Razr 2022 (Chinese version) last year. These new line of Moto Razr flips (US version) SUCKS!!! They look like Samsung knock offs... especially the standard Razr - that copied Samsungs two yrs old, 2021 flip tiny (clock only) display. Just Awful!!!

    This is not the Motorola of yore. It's a Lenovo subsidiary now, so just another arm of the Chinese government. The only thing American about this is the branding. No telling when this device will eventually be banned. Save your money.

    Good smartphones, but frankly neither of the 2 is a good deal in my opinion, I mean in my opinion.
    Unless you're a diehard Motorola fan, or a Samsung hater, the Flips 4 and 5 are better options.
    The Razr + Ultra at $1000 loses to Samsung's upcoming Flip 5 which will have an external screen almost as large as Motorola's, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and especially a better software tracking , and the standard Razr is not even a competitor for the Flip 4 which is very often around $700 new.

    • @PSYCHOV3N0M
      @PSYCHOV3N0M ปีที่แล้ว

      Ready For > Samsung Dex.
      Razr+ has Ready For built-in although it's wireless-ONLY.
      No Z Flip so far supports Dex. If the Z Flip 5 doesn't come with Dex support then the Razr+ has a big advantage.

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England ปีที่แล้ว +1

      According to Flip5 rumours, there will be little difference between this RAZR+ and Flip5. Especially at the market it is aimed at. Very few buyers will worry about the SoC differences (mainly the GPU). The Flip5 will be more polished, but people may buy these more for the design, colours, look and feel. The RAZR+ definitely is eye candy and will surely sell well and eat into Samsungs sales.

    • @rolins3279
      @rolins3279 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PSYCHOV3N0MReady for > Dex, it's very subjective, and according to rumors, the Flip 5 is supposed to have Dex, we'll see what happens.

    • @rolins3279
      @rolins3279 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andyH_EnglandHonestly, I don't see the big difference in design between the 2 smartphones 🤷🏽‍♂️
      On the other hand, what I do know is that most people have more confidence in Samsung than in Motorola, and the 8 Gen 2 beyond the difference in power, will surely benefit the Flip 5 in terms of efficiency and battery life 🔋, but we'll see.
