- This is the best Harley Davidson. What do you think is the best Harley Davidson motorcycle ever made? I've been riding Harley's for 30 plus years and motorcycles even longer - here are my top 10 best Harley's.
What's your favorite from this list? What is your choice for best Harley ever made?
I ride a Street Glide special so you might think I'm biased BUT let me give you hint - it's NOT my choice for best Harley ever made.

Heritage softail I think is the best all-around bike you can use it for touring or you can just do short hops around town. No I don’t own one, I have a 21 Roadglide.
Road King is the KING of the ROAD!
You forgot the Breakout, nice to hear you.
1980 Sturgis should be an honorable mention, and the FXR... lucky enough to have both.
The Road King Classic and the Fat Boy are iconic designs for me, the first CVO breakout was awesome too. I’m glad you included the sportster and the V-Rod. 🇿🇦
Thanks for watching
Loved the show tonight, thanks mate
Thank you
Another great Video Aymen , love how
I
Learn a little each week !! Thank you
My pleasure! Thanks Karyn
My favorite Harleys are the ones that I have.
1978 flh, 1991 Springer Softtail, and a 1992 Electra Glide Ultra Classic.
If I could keep only one, it would be my shovelhead.
It has been modified many times to suit my personality and will continue to as time goes on.
Great video 👍 I can't fault any of your choices, there are so many to choose from, it's mind blowing! Out of your list it would be the Bad Boy for me.
Awesome! Thank you!
2000 softail fxst. Super smooth. Mine had a heritage rear Fender and she was beautiful!
LOVED your video! Well done having the XR1200 shown with the sportsters and also the V-rod. Both underrated HDs that were amazing.
Honourable mention: Pan America? Another non-traditional HD that is just a phenomenal bike.
Thank you
Mateeeeeeeeee. What a video 🤩🤩. I'm going for a ride right now 😂😂😂
Lol mmm might do the same
Enjoyed your video as always.
I have a few other favorites.
The Road King
The heritage
And most of all the new Highway King.
He didn't even mention the road king Mayne he's jealous of somebody over there... Bogan perhaps.
2006 Roadking FLRS Custom. 88 ci of pure pleasure, I put 76,000 miles on that bike before giving it to my son who still rides it.(and yes I did the hydraulic cam chain adjuster upgrade, dual Rheinhart, SE 204 cams, and auto tune on it.)
Great content as always! I'm a graduate of the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in, Orlando Florida. I Completed the late model and early model Harley Specialist Program in 2007. My class was one of the first few classes covering the Vrod. We were told that Porsche was behind the head design of that motor. I was not a fan of the creation as it was something completely new. As a stubborn 20 year old I was hard pressed on only loving the old stuff. After graduating and working at New Orleans Harley Davidson, about the 4th Vrod that I worked on, I began to be a fan. I was once pulled over on J. D Power's Vrod doing double the speed limit like 60 mph in a 30, on a test run. Still a fan the old but, recently I've been looking at the early Vrod listings. Maybe something to add to the collection.
Thanks
Thank you Aymen, what a top line up.
I do love the classics, bikes with personality.
Awesome to see Sportys” included💕
My eye might be wandering a little to a Low Rider S.
You know what they say... Once you go Harley you never go back
😉🌸💕🏍
Lol, you would love the low rider s!
Very good episode. 06 Dyna and 02 Road King CVO for me.
I have to show some love to one of the most underrated Harleys ever, the wide glide. Such a cool looking bike with that classic chopper inspiration. Plus they are surprisingly easy to ride.
Yeah I had one for a while, awesome!
@OldNotDead-Club quick story and also a possible topic for your channel? My Harley brand loyalty and origin story. When I was 3 years old (1988) my dad's older cousin (Glenn Jr) was a real deal biker. Built choppers and rode Harleys and all that. Well one day I was at my great aunts house and I heard this thunder coming up the hill. After a few seconds I saw Glenn Jr pull up on a pearl white road king. He was wearing his black T-shirt and jeans and leather boots and shades. The bike was pearl white and had chrome everywhere. I was awe struck. He pulled up in front of me, smiling and got off the bike and rubbed my head and said "what uh ye say there boy". I love your motorcycle I said. He said yeah? Well go ahead and check her out son. He threw me up on it and went inside and got a beer. As I sat on it I was just so caught up in how cool it was. He walks back out and asked if I wanted to go for a ride. YEAHHH! I said. He laughed and sat his beer down and took me for a ride up and down the road in front of the house. After a while we pulled back in and I was smiling from ear to ear. He gets off and helped me down and asked "when you get big are you gonna get you a bike?" Yes sir I am I said. He said good, just make me a promise. Ok I said what is it? He said build one or get a Harley, don't you get one of those "rice burning pieces of S^%T" I said ok and he rubbed my head again and went inside. Unfortunately about a year later Glenn Jr was run off the road and off a bank on his bike and lost his life. Now you gotta understand something. Even tho I was only 3 and even tho I was not around him a whole lot. He and his motorcycles made a massive impact on me. I never forgot my promise to him and I never broke my promise. I have lived and breathed and fantasized about finally having a Harley and after 35 years I made that dream come true and fulfilled my promise. Last summer I got an 03 wide glide and let me tell you something. It's so much better than I ever imagined it would be. I've had a lot of struggles and scars and regrets in my life that weigh on me everyday but when I'm on my Harley all that shit goes out the window. I feel that weight instantly lift and I know it sounds cheesy but my spirit flies. I've had multiple opportunities to own crotch rockets and all that but I was never gonna break my promise and honestly I wouldn't have been happy on anything but a Harley Davidson. I guess some people wouldn't understand why I'm so brand loyal. It's part of my history and part of my family history. Now here I am 39 years old and I'm taking my son for trips and creating memories that neither of us will forget. Sorry for the long rant I just wanted to share my story on why I love my Harley so much and would be interested in hearing other people's Harley origin stories. P.S I used your videos as a tool to learn about riding and they've really helped me progress quickly in becoming a better rider. Cheers from North Carolina.
@@scottthomas4779 thank you
There's personal favourites and Harley's that changed the market, 1st Knucklehead, Duo Glide, 1990 Fatboy, 1st Nightrain, Superglide boat tail, xlcr.
Yes the rubber mount twin cams had the A motor and rigid mount had B motors (balancer) its in the Vin.
I recently bought an 09 v rod muscle and love it. I waited 3 years to find the right one. For reference i am 6'-2" and 220ish pounds. Its kinda difficult in the turns, but i love it.
I agree w your Number 1! Had a 2016 dyna based Low Rider S, what a fun bike. I’ve had an ElectraGlide, 2 Roadglides, the LR S and a 2003 VRod. They were all fun but for pure riding fun(not cross country comfort, took the touring bikes literally across America, 4750 miles longest trip), the LowRider S was a gas!
Enjoyed that, awesome list, the fatboy S with the 110 for me
awesome bike
1936 Knucklehead. Ahead of its time, some call it the first superbike. 60 Cubic inches which makes it a Litre bike.
I have a 21 street glide special and a 22 fatboy, I’d say they are probably the best 2 Harley’s of all time.
Thanks I agree
Anther, great video aymen, i love my deluxe,all harleys,are great,regards mike 🇬🇧
Thanks 👍
I ride a Road King and an Iron 883. All day long the 883 is the best ride and I have way more fun on it than the Road King. Call it a “girl bike” all day long and the critics don’t know what they are missing. Sad Harley Davidson stopped production.
Love the list. If only I had more space in the garage.
Thanks
Another great vid bro, Fatboy is the iconic Hog, there's a style and look for every one of us which is why the brand is so fantastic.
Keep em coming mate good work 😎👍👌👊
Thank you
As a kid, I really liked that Lowrider Sturgis that was all blacked out. I grew up liking Lowriders and Super Glides. Ride one of the M8 Softail Standards, which looks about as close to a Super Glide as you get with a new bike.
I still have my 1995 fxstsb Bad Boy. It is my first and only Harley and has been rock solid reliable for me. After more than 20 years together it’s become part of the family
That's a nice list. What about the FXR or the later years Evolution bikes? There's a lot of great bikes to choose from.
My understanding is that the balanced "B" engines were the exception, only to be used on the Softails. Everything else was rubber mounted as the standard... even Dynas and Sportsters.
Streetglide is the bike I will never ever get rid of.
Great bike!
Love my 2017 forty eight sportster - love it made the list 👏
The "best" are being produced today, My favorites? 10. Bad Boy, market wasn't ready for a "bobber" 9. WLDR a factory racer with the iconic style. 8. Hydra-Glide The soon released movie "The Bikeriders" will move this model up most folks list. 7. Buell Xb9r the best use of the air cooled Sportster lump. 6. ULH 80" flatty to appease folks when the EL was launched. 5. Duo Glide 4. Super Glide (not the boat tail model) 3. Dyna Lowrider captured the SuperGlides styling with a more reliable and ridable platform. 2. Sportster Raw, visceral and the gateway drug to the "Big Twin" 1. 1925 J bikes. The first ground up designed and built H-D motorcycle, that wasn't a bicycle with an engine. The aesthetic mold was cast for the Motor Company with this model. Thank you for sharing, Ride Free
I have a 22 SG-ST 117 and a 18 M8 Heritage with the 114. I really like them both. But they are very different bikes to ride. The Heritage is arguably the best handling of the M8 Softails as it's 16" rims and tyres make for a nimble and neutral handling machine. It feels very chuckable especially after getting off my street glide. Plus I love it's vintage style. The SG is a mile eating monster and my go to for a long trip.
1991 FXRT. FXR's are the best bikes ever built and are the most collectible of non-antique bikes. FXRT was the version of FXR with hard saddlebags and a fairing designed in a wind tunnel. '92 had the EVO and new stereo. Anybody could build and maintain the EVO in your own garage, with your own tools. Best bike ever.
I switched to a Road Glide from my Ultra cuz of how the nose handled in the crosswinds of the Badlands in South Dakota. It’s a much better bike in those circumstances. I won’t say there’s no shake at all, but it’s much more stable than the batwing fairing on my Ultra Limited.
Side note: The solid wheel designs on the Fatboy motorcycles, the V-Rods, and the 2004-2006 Road King Custom ABSOLUTELY make riding those bikes in heavy crosswinds unbearable. My buddy on his Fatboy and I on my 2005 RK custom got blown across two lanes in the Badlands. The crosswinds are anywhere from 30 - 80 mph depending on the weather there. There is never not a crosswind across I90 there. Your scrapping boards leaning trying to keep straight at times.
Great video. Some excellent choices on the bikes.
Road glide ,yes but ever had a 1340 evo fxr ,bit of customisation and What a bike.
I would say iron 1200, crossbones and softail slim (m8) version 😊👍
Tough question. If it was up to me and money wasn’t an issue, I wouldn’t have a house with a garage, but a huge garage (full of motorcycles) with a house.
The Crossbones and the Panheads will always have a special charm IMHO though. I own a stage 2 114 LRS by the way. Very happy with it.
Love my 2016 Breakout. ……..
Awesome bike
I'm a gal, learning to ride right now and i got a 12 year old Sportster 883 Iron.
I read a lot of reviews about it saying it was a great starter Harley that was nimble enough and not overly powerful for beginners. I absolutely fell in love with the looks of it, i kept going back to the store to look at it despite not having my license yet, and i bought it 🥰
Unfortunately i crashed yesterday during my motorcycle lesson (with the school's motorcycle, so it's all right 😆) and ended up in the ER, so it'll be another few weeks before i can get back on a motorcycle and finish training to pass the exams and get my license. I can't wait to ride my Sportster !
sorry to hear that, hope you get better soon
@@OldNotDead-Club Thanks mate ! 😄
As i have said in the past, at 75 i bought my first harley. 2023 heritage softail classic. ( im told its a girls bike) whatever that is. Much lighter and more nimble than my Indian springfield. Anyway, i love it. Has the M8. Lots of power and torque. Gotta have that. Hey im Old not Dead. Like the look. I guess if I had to pick another, look wise, i like the road king. No fairings for me. I do love the classic styles.
WL continued into the 70s in the servicar making it arguably the longest running production Harvey. My first Harley 96 Sportser current rider 2012Super Glide 96cube slightly modified to make it mine ❤❤❤😅
Cracking vidi Aymen the production is slick keep the good work up. I'm not sure about the best but probably the most reliable is the 2007 on wards EFI sportsters. In particular the 2016 48 sporty but don't take my word for it I'm bias AF. My sentimental favourite & the coolest looking engine would have to be the Shovelhead & no one can change my mind on that 😁.
my 97 RoadKing and 203000. klms. Love it
Great video. But the only Bike I've wanted is Road King.
The Road King FLHR (circa 2012) in black is a favourite of mine.
Love my 2021 Street Glide special, but my 1985 Evo FXRS Low Glide is awesome
both awesome, thanks
i think the low rider saddle bags are quick detach like the bags on the sport glide, take like 30 secs to take off or put on....
Thanks Aymen, I think a Fatboy, or any one I am riding is my favorite. FLHTK for sure.
By the way bro, your sticker on the side of my helmet gets heaps of attention when parked.... love watching people take pics of it 😂
That's awesome
1949-57 Hydra Glide FLH
Elvis had the most photos of himself with that bike.
Thanks
In the 90's chrome was king period, "bling" as you put it, and the "Bad Boy" (the Motor Companies first factory Bob Job) before "Bobber" became a genre of design, was a hard sell. After the excitement at the Dealer Meeting wore off and poor sales, the softail allotment was used for the Heritage, Fatboy, and later the Heritage Springer.
I'll take the 98 Road King. Everything you need & nothing you don't, the late Evo wngine for bigger bore & higher compression with that unmistakable Evo sound,& a great lean angle
#EvoLife #RoadKing
My father's first bike was the WLA, which he found in a barn, in 100% original condition Including the rifle scabbard, in Slovakia, left over from the war, under a tarp in 1959 as a 17 year old. Paid the old farmer a bottle ofvodka for it. New fuel, new oils & new spark plugs, it started 3rd kick
Love the hidden messages!
And they are fun to do... to see who responds lol
My number one HD is the Fatboy, not just because I own a 2012 Fatboy ( the first yr they were fattened up to accommodate a 200 mm rear tire and the 103 ci and 6 speed tranny) but because I walked past Ultras, Road Kings and Glides to special order what I wanted because my dealer had none . In 1990 when the Fatboy came out, it made huge news in the motorcycle world and I gotta woody I could not walk off at the dealer at the time. By the time I could afford one 22 yrs went by. Fortunately the look and style never really changed except for engine upgrades through the yrs. Fortunately for me, the biggest upgrade ever was the 2012 Fatboy. In my mind, the 2018 model was a totally different bike and a big disappointment. Yes, it has solid wheels but gone forever was the old school timeless beauty. Willie G. Was instrumental in the design of the Fatboy originally fyi. The fact that people are still walking around and comparing the completely different new models to the earlier Fatboys does not vote well for it. It’s like being the son of a famous father. Great Vlog Sir!
Low Rider ST is way better than the Low Rider S. I like the bags but I do plan on getting a set of bigger symmetrical bags for long hauls. Either way though that 117 rips especially once you wake it up with a cam
Same bike just diff fairing and bags
Eric Buell designed the V Rod engine along with the two guys from Porsche .
It was made for a Buell sport bike for racing, but the then new CEO of Harley killed it, then converted the Buell factory into the V Rod plant
103 dyna wide glide or breakout is my personal favs
awesome bikes
My #1 would probably be the 24 street glide a close #2 is the 52 Hydra glide
You mentioned some iconic Harley's then got some what lost with the new Harleys but the best & most iconic bike is all models of the FXR & the EVO engine !
My bike is my favorite.
2019 electra glide police
What do you think about the sports glide
Currently we have the 883 sportster, first stage kit has been done. Light, easy to flick around, however main reason it was easy to dress models up or down in motorcycle gear as it has the cafe racer style look. However personally would love to own a street glide when I can afford it one day to tour with the wife. Come on people buy more Resurgence Motorcycle Gear to fulfil a mans dream 🙂
Awesome gear!!
1/ FXLR Lowrider Custom 87-94 2/ 77 Lowrider Shovel 3/ The Sportster 4/ Street Glide and Roadglide from 09 - 23 Samebike different looks 5/ Duoglide 6/ Electra glide cause that’s what a Harley looks like when I think of Murica 7/ Softail from 84, the bike that saved Harley 8/ The original Shovel Superglide because it was the start of the modern Harley look 9/ XLCR Cafe Racer because it pissed off the purists 😂😂😂10 / Nothing g from 24 on, they have lost the plot😢😢🫣🫣
I feel the Newer Heritage is the best bike Harley ever made.
Many will agree with you
The new road glide outshines the street glide by a lot.
I would have put the low rider st m8 on the list. Definetly a great bike
#3 is the best, but I may be biased.
Awesome choice
Disagree on #6 but much love either way. LOL
What's your list, or replacement?
For me, the Evo/TC springer softail deserved a spot. I don't have the total hatred some guys have for the Revo, but it never sat right with me as a HD. Doesn't sound right no matter what. At least the M8 just needs a cam to sound proper. LOL@@OldNotDead-Club
I suppose the Bad Boy does fit that pocket, and is a bike that I would love to own if I could afford it. Hmm. Maybe the Revo does deserve a spot, but I'd put it lower. I just never jived with them.
Springers
My brother had a WLA in the 60's. It was a rolling chassis and the engine was in a box. He had it at a friend's house, and the friends father ......threw it away, as he said it was taking up room.....
"1968 FLH Shovel"
Belonged to my grandfather, and it's waiting to get rebuilt.
Nice
Hey fella keep this nostalgia up and we are going to have to call you Fletch.
Lol I dont know what that means? Good bad or ugly?
Really?? Fletch would be shattered, he's was the host of a classic car show called classic resto's on channel 31, your the motorcycle version. Peace ✌️.
@@MightyMick88 lol oh i know who you mean, is that show still going? I haven't watched TV in a very long time
Heritage didn't make the list . Fake news lol
lol
Cope
Eric has solid footing for his opinion. In this era of specialty bikes, it is refreshing to ride a bike that can do it all. Putt, cruise, scoot(in a hurry), and tour. And it will do each category better than most. There is a reason this bike has been in continuous production since the mid-80’s. 🤠
1958 Duo-Glides and EVO FXRs
Roadglide CVO ST
Awesome!
2010 Harley Davidson Cross Bones 🤘😎
The last of the HD Springers
i think all harleys are beautiful. but i dont like to ride heavy bikes. the only harley i want to own is the sportster
Popular choice
Nailed it with the Lowrider S being #1, by far the best bike Harley has ever made
72 in Hard Candy
Hard candy paint is awesome
It takes less than a minute to remove the quick release saddle bags on the FXLRST mate, no big deal at all. I cant even tell you how many harleys I've had all up but yeah the FXLRST with the CR485 full stage 2 is a weapon and half.
thanks
For me it the bike i have 😃 , the Harley Davidson Softail standard Deuce 2007 the blue color all the way …
The FB is harder to ride because of the wide rear tyre
now I'm depressed, I own 3 shovelheads, 4 ironhead sportsters, been riding 59 years, started at 5 on a honda minitrail, blame my dad haha, my 80 fx has around 500,000 miles on it of course two complete rebuilds and a topend job at around every 70,000 miles, my 82 FLHS has around 200,000 miles on it with same longevity, I have a 83 FXR fully rebuilt that has very few miles by me so far, I do all my own work, when I say all I mean all. my sportsters I mainly use for shorter trips and off road adventures, they're great dirt bikes hahahaha, although I took a bet once, rode a 77 XLH 3,000 miles to Sturgis and back with my wife on the back and shit tied everywhere on the bike, no problems whatsoever, did 80 mph all day no problem.
What about the Heritage Springer?
I’ve rented most late model Harley’s and the one that got the most looks and attention was the FatBoy. It got the most looks especially from non-bikers..hmm..
Er, M8 softail slim. Never going to sell mine!
Nice bike
"Favourite Harley.." - Why, the one you're riding Heymon.. ..duh..
(..And well done for wrong footing everyone, leaving the **** off the list.. - Smooth, very smooth.. 😉)
I still mis my old 2005 annerversairy bad Boy.
What about the best Harley ever fxrt?
My fxr is the best most expensive frame ever built by Harley and now Harley is using the frame design again for their new Harleys so yes best ever FXR 🎉
I am a Dyna fan
2021 Fatboy with an S&S air filter 😂 the S&S air filter give it special boost powers and often can be seen dragging street glides and road glides off the lights…😜😜 Cheer Danny.
Road King, any year, any model
livewire one ;)
lol, it was actually fun to ride
Breakout - definitely.
The FXR should be way up there
I have 6 HDs and an Indian Chief Vintage. The Indian the best ride.
Aymen, which brand of seat and model do you have and are you happy with it?
I have a Corbin seat it's more than awesome, check out this video...
th-cam.com/video/b3XR4IPy6OA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=183Od9kbTcS_BXap
Thats Fletch I mean Aymen
@@MightyMick88 lol
XL Sportster is the greatest, no contest. Of course that's just my opinion, but if you disagree you're wrong. And it can't be considered a girls bike because it doesn't have a fairing...😜
