Speaking of bikes that went away.. anyone remember the black line? I think that what it was called. It only came out for a few years. They weren't known as the greatest bikes, they had some weird parts on it that were expensive and exclusive to that bike only. I think the bars were weird or somethin.. maybe the front wheel too? I'm not 100% sure...I can't remember exactly. I think it pretty much had a sportster front end but fucked up bars that didn't fit a sporty, if that makes sense ..idk. I haven't even thought about that bike in years but the comment randomly made me think of it right now...but thankfully these bikes seem to be pretty decent and popular, so I don't think they'll go away anytime soon but you never know with Harley I guess...
All I have to say is where he’s leaving the parking lot and going past the covered parking area. All it would take is a blond chewing gum talking on a cell phone and backing up and Kruesi would be going over the bars Brembo’s or not. Slow down out there. Head on swivel check your six and always leave a way out.😂
As a former Nightster owner, it has some quirks. Just tap the start button (not hold it down) as you will foul the plugs, let it complete it start up cycle as it may cause a check engine light which is to remind you to let it complete its full cycle (have dealership show you how to clear the code-very easy), and there is a heat shield for the right side of the bike. Use only full synthetic oil (I like Motul 20W50). If you every have a software error where the bike will not start, unplug the main fuse, wait 30, reinstall the fuse and try again ( hopefully Harley Davidson has fixed this bug. This bike is very fast in Sport mode. Install a crash guard and have fun🤪

When I traded it in I could not afford 2 bikes otherwise it would have never left. I am so happy to have the bike back. It is not another bike like my Dyna. It is MY Dyna that I had previously traded it and was lucky enough to get back, almost completely unchanged, amd with only 2k more miles on it. Super stoked. To top it off, the last guy put cams in it. 😁 Now, having been on a test ride of the 975 Nightster, there is no damn good reason that bike needed a 6 speed. The little bastard is mental.

This bike rocks! Bought it for my wife and I find myself riding it more than her. Changed the seat to the HD Sundowner which hold you in more and super comfortable. Ride it, it’s awesome for the money. Great vid!
I read this comment thinking to myself have this person rode every Harley ever made and made his comment based on that. Or is he basing that on watching TH-cam?
@@MapleBar777I feel like if you rolled this through the door 6 months ago and said I want you to build me a custom stealth exhaust and put a lift kit on it you wouldn't have been met with the same excitement....
I own a ‘22 Nightster. Bike rips. S&S makes a nice exhaust. Dean Speed in Phoenix also has some aftermarket parts. You can get mini apes from Harley made just for this bike.
Bought a 2024 Nightster special in Baja orange back in April. Great bike, liquid cooled is really nice in traffic. Right at 2K miles, 1,000 miles a month. I put a flat bar on it and a Corbin seat.
I ride a Road King now but as I am getting older and have had hip surgery, the weight of the King is becoming more of an issue. The Nightster Special looks like a very interesting bike. Love the sound of that engine. The weight and center of gravity seems exactly what I need. I'm not crazy about the look of the radiator but I can live with it. Can't wait to try one out.
The crazy thing is this is the 975 version of the 1250 Pan America. Still has plenty of power! Lots of potential. Sweet video! Keep up the excellent work.
I wonder how easy it'd be to swap engines with a pan am? I know the tanks swap easily. I also saw one on Instagram a German girl rides that looks like it has the pan ams whole front suspension. forks, wheel etc. it even has pan am crash bars and fog lights on it. The revmax bikes might be crazy interchangeable with parts.
I’ve been dealing with exactly that from the rev max platform for a couple of years now. Unfortunately any first gen is gonna be a nightmare but I’m certain they’ll find ways to delete the stuff that gives them trouble. ABS should be simple enough but the TRC, I’m sure will give them some mental anguish
I hear both of you, I'm shopping for a '24 Pnam right now. My concern is the ability to untangle and separate out the code for the controls so I can fix up my bike like I want without having to go to the dealer for a flash after I bleed the dang brakes. Even if there was a keyboard and debugger attached to the bike, or a smartphone app, I can barely run a 3D modeler for work and god forbid I need to edit the register in my PC. How the heck can you adjust something in Harley's proprietary software that we don't have access to or documentation for? I don't think there is even a tuner on the market for it. If there is please let me know.
@@OhioGuy82 I wouldn't say that. The pan am was the leader in sales in it's category for a while when it first dropped. There were tons of reviews and comparisons all over TH-cam. The nightster though, I was starting to think there was an embargo from the company or something. With the lack of backing they seemed to be doing.
@@super16g123 Yes. In the ADV segment. The traditionalist HD guy didn’t care about them at all. I had a Pan America Special for a year. It was the best and worst motorcycle I have owned. When it worked without fault it was amazing.
I hope people finally wake up to this bike. I love my 2023. The 2024 model is the exact same thing with different color options. He called it the Sportster S but it's not the Sportster. It's the Nightster special. Also, you can adjust The ABS and traction control with the custom ride modes. There are multiple settings for both. The switchback seat that they sell is a big improvement.
About time someone says what I've been saying for the last couple years! The Nightster is an amazing bike. I really want one. The engine is excellent and the suspension money. Sport bike rider and this bike will make you want a Harley after taking it for a test ride
I just got one after they reduced the price. Here in Thailand we managed to tune it to 100 bhp at the wheel with only a slip-on on it. The power:weight ratio is insane.
I’m a beginner and I went from practicing on a 750 soft tail to buying a nightster off the lot. Now when I ride the 750 I practiced on I IMMEDIATELY want to get back on the nightster. There’s nothing like it honestly
Exhaust gets better with mileage. Mine was sounding pretty sweet at 1,500 miles, but I smashed it into a Honda Accord at 35 MPH that cut me off. After the lawyers get me a settlement, I'm going to get another one, and I'm going to have my favorite mechanic put Pan America motor parts in it to make it a 150 HP 1250cc. At 400 lb factory weight, it's going to be a beast. These things are so nimble and fun!
Honestly, Harley has to own it, it's a sport bike through and through and only 25cc's from calling it a supersport. They gotta stop caring what people think and make more bikes like this that are competitive.
I have the base model, but I love it. It's my first bike, too. I'm just making excuses to go where ever all the time. These guys say it's not a touring bike, but it has options for detachable hard locking bags. Plus if you ease on it, it gets gas mileage in the 50s. Just throw a windshield on it for those open interstates with more than 3 lanes because the wind will beat the piss out of you on those. I'm currently in the process of converting mine for touring. Can't wait.
Where did you find the hard bags? Does Harley make them and if you found any quick release windshields or anything like that? The bike definitely needs something on the freeway. The wind is brutal without a fairing.
@kruesioriginals harley has detachable and lockable hard bags. But they sell at a whopping 800 and require a tail light relocation kit, which gives you an extra attachment point on each side. It's expensive, but the best-looking and probably best form fitting option. Viking bags also have an option without having to relocate, but I'm not crazy about the look. Plus you have to buy them individually and they've been out of stock for some time. Harley, again, has two options for the windshield. Another premium of just shy of 500. One is short, and one is tall. But they are both easy on and off. I am really hoping memphis comes out with fairing options for this bike as they are US made and have good reviews... but at the moment, nada.
Harley had street rod 750 . Entirely different from street 750. Harley provided - 43 mm inverted forks, dual disc from brakes , piggyback reservoir rear shocks 13 inch, dual throttle body , 40 degree lean angle , 17 inch wheel both from and back, six speed smooth transmission, liquid cooled revolution Hi output engine( 70 hp)-DOHC,228 kg weight, 1 inch longer swing arm. I installed Ohlins front and rear(14.5 inch) and it’s such a fun motorcycle to ride ( city or highway). Lot of people hated it before even riding it. I like Nightster 975 but it has to taller as Kruesi. I also would have preferred more seat options and inverted fork.
I bought the 23 Nightster, I changed the seat to the Sundowner, got a Jekill and Hyde Lux exhaust..which was the first one made for the US…which made me happy. Love the bike, it is so much fun! Got laughed at by a guy on a 103 dresser till I bet him, he shifted at 40 mph as I hit 60 then shift
I had an evo FXDL. Never wobbled. I've got a 25 year old twin cam FXDL. It never wobbles. I don't even know how badly a dyna would have to be set up to make it wobble. Maybe people who can't afford a service manual because they spent the budget on fuzzy dice should stick with EFi and a new bike every year or two.
I think it is awesome you are going to do a build on this bike. everyone has been sleeping on it. build this right and you could single handedly revolutionize this model. the aftermarket would be frantically making stuff for it. and water cooled is a great thing! can't wait to see what you do with it. I've keep waiting for a set of those to come up for sale. I want them on my Street Bob bad!
This bike rocks! Bought it for my wife and I find myself riding it more than her. Changed the seat to the HD Sundowner which hold you in more and super comfortable. Ride it, it’s awesome for the money. Great vid!
"It doesn't feel like a Harley and it doesn't feel like a Sportster." Nuff said.
Your excitement is making me really like this motorcycle
FXR is the best bike Harley ever made.
We should wait buell super cruiser 2025 FXR frame single sock.. end game
I read this comment thinking to myself have this person rode every Harley ever made and made his comment based on that. Or is he basing that on watching TH-cam?
Besides the evo and electronics…
@@koboibebob7839not Harley engine?
Kruesi is violently against FXR but I love it 😂😂😂
Was one of my favorite bikes i could maybe actually afford from the demo day i went to, cant wait to hear it with an exhaust 🤘🏼
This video feels like when BMW gave a ton of R1800’s to influencers, a few years ago, it was an act of desperation to sell a bike that no one wants.
I suspect the same thing, it being halfway through the year already. Why didn’t he freak out about it late last year when it was launched?
RSD made a club style r18...very very cool
@@MapleBar777I feel like if you rolled this through the door 6 months ago and said I want you to build me a custom stealth exhaust and put a lift kit on it you wouldn't have been met with the same excitement....
But unlike the new HD the BMW R1800 is a grate ride
@@1980kittykats still a terrible design. Any accident will destroy the power plant.
I have had my 2024 Nightster Special aince Feb of this year (2024). Had 7 miles on mine when I got it. Has around 9k miles on it now, love the thing.
I think you guys are onto something.
Let’s build the shit out of it and see what goes down!
Keep up the great work guys!
Thank you, that’s the plan
Stoked to see the build
Can't wait to see what you end up with here. Really would like another project. Let's see what you can do first :)
You and me both!
I own a ‘22 Nightster. Bike rips. S&S makes a nice exhaust. Dean Speed in Phoenix also has some aftermarket parts. You can get mini apes from Harley made just for this bike.
Once again RYAN is BIG DIK SWINGING. Get your popcorn ready, this is gonna be a SICK must watch build series.
Yes sir, we are about to go real hard with this thing
Haha still the same dude I remember from about 15 years ago. Glad to see you doing your thing man. 🤙🏽
Ayy new Kruesi before bed. Nice.
Bought a 2024 Nightster special in Baja orange back in April. Great bike, liquid cooled is really nice in traffic. Right at 2K miles, 1,000 miles a month. I put a flat bar on it and a Corbin seat.
I've been about these since the came out, glad y'all are diving into one and finally getting some aftermarket going for the nightster.
Should I trade in my soft tail standard and get a nightster.. instead of getting your swing arm?
It sounds like a honda
It's because it's a dual pivot crank and not harley's traditional single pivot, this is done to reduce vibration and increase horsepower
Immediately thought of my Shadow lol
Kawasaki Vulcan comes to mind.
Pumped for this build. Haven’t seen Ryan this pumped about a project since the Monkey
That is a fact, I haven’t been this. Excited about a motorcycle in a long time finally, something new.
@@kruesioriginals I can't wait for Part II! It's about time the aftermarket built a good RH975 Nightster!
If I see kruesi and his boys shredding on the thing, my opinion will probably drastically change
I think Kruesi just started a new movement. Many have been curious but neglect the bike ....
Krusie, this exited will trigger people to jump on board.
I like them, they're fast too.
I like the Nightster wheels and seat with the Nightster Special options.
Love that dealership. The buying experience is superb, but the museum is the best part of the place. o7
Just wait until you tackle the electronics, then all the happy happy joy comes to a screeching halt.
Eh they've got most of the bugs figured out on the 24 models
Is this a AI video ?
It feels like Fox News
Please explain what early model dyna makes 100hp out of the box?
About time somebody recognized how good this bike is.
That’s what I’m saying, I feel like everyone slept on this
@@kruesioriginals I agree. People also slept on the Pan America too.
Absolutely on both counts
Go right the Rebel 1100. It's everything you like about this but better. Sorry don't attack bc it's not a HD
While I was working at Harley I fell in love with this bike I have a 2013 dyna and told everyone that the nightster was the new dyna!
This video sells more nighters than any other video. The engine looks like its designed by AI. Its something AI would draw.
I was thinking Fisher-Price. It looks like something in the ghetto-mart toy aisle.
This is the most enthusiastic review I've ever seen on this bike well done
How much did Harley pay you to advertise the bike nobody’s buying 😅
About time someone says what I've been saying for the last couple years! The Nightster is an amazing bike. I really want one. The engine is excellent and the suspension money. Sport bike rider and this bike will make you want a Harley after taking it for a test ride
07 Fatboy has 41mm tubes.
I just got one after they reduced the price. Here in Thailand we managed to tune it to 100 bhp at the wheel with only a slip-on on it. The power:weight ratio is insane.
That’s some crazy power for a stock bike. Especially one that only weighs 450 pounds.
That maybe the fruitiest looking sportster out there. I wouldnt be caught dead on that thing
Hell ya!! Thank you!! I was stoked right along with you while you were talking about it. 🙌🏽
On paper it’s bad ass, but that thing is ugly as hell with zero character. With that being said I can’t wait to see what you do to it
Nah they look great. Zero character in the way it looks or it's character of how it rides and the engine is?
Looks great? Maybe if I’m 12 beers deep and squinting my eyes. The platform has potential, I’m excited to see what Kruesi does with it
@@DetectiveStablerSVU Nah its pretty ugly
@@jeremylong6229 yea looks like a jap bike
Super ugly
I've seen this video twice already I've been following the build. I'm thinking about getting one this December early January 🤘
Cute girls bike 👧
what about are these going for OTD nowdays ?
Thing looks like a toy from Mattel
Watching him nerd out was fun lol. Can wait to see the parts development they do
I’m a beginner and I went from practicing on a 750 soft tail to buying a nightster off the lot.
That would be gnarly
I agree. I walked into dealership yesterday and this one grabbed my attention the most
Honestly, Harley has to own it, it's a sport bike through and through and only 25cc's from calling it a supersport. They gotta stop caring what people think and make more bikes like this that are competitive.
Been saying it. I’m a Honda guy, but I love this bike.
Same here
I have the base model, but I love it.
I like that Odometer 👍.
Keep up the awesome work..
I feel the same way
I love how happy he is and This bike has been out for at least 2 years already lol
I know, I didn’t even know it existed. That’s what I mean everybody’s sleeping on it, including Harley how have I never heard of this until now? I walked into Buddy Stubs and saw it and what is that? I have to build it.
