I will be 82 in a couple of months. I have been riding a 99 Softail Custom for the last 13 years. Rode an 84 Iron head Sportster for 23 years before that. My first Harley was a 1942 45 flat head when I was 14 in 1955. I am 6'1" and weigh 165. My daughter went to a Harley dealership to buy me a tee shirt. They asked her what size to get me. When she told them, she said to the other sales person, this girl wants a tee shirt for a bean pole. LOL I have a bad back and neuropathy in my feet. Riding seems to help both. I do not do long rides anymore. Just an hour or so around the back roads where I live mostly, and to the town a couple of miles away of only 7500 population. I started riding on a friends Pacemaker Whizzer motor bike when I was 8 years old. Lord willing and the creek don't rise I will keep riding for a while. Most of my riding is without a windshield and with a helmet and goggles. The pillow seat and buckhorn bars, and the forward controls make this bike as comfortable as sitting in my Lazy Boy recliner. Do not need a radio, I have open drag pipes. Been a motor head all my life. I still wear my leather jacket I bought at Montgomery Wards when I was 14. I took a girl for a ride on my 42 Harley when I was 15. We have been married for 63 years.
Found this channel via Million Dollar Bogan. Enjoyed the vlog. I’m a 66 yr old retiree riding a 2013 Roadking. I did the one month challenge of 100 push-ups a day for 30 days. 20 x 5 sets. Discovered the more I do the more I can do , the more I can do then the more I want to do, the more I want to do then the more I do! Keep moving Brother!
59 years old and took your push-up challenge. Did 12, with some struggling and some weird sounds! Thanks for the encouragement. I’m on my third day in a row and plan to continue. ( still only 12, but it’ll improve)
@Henry lol, I know that feeling.. I'm 66 now and started getting back in shape a couple of years back. I promise it gets easier if you stick with it..
Mate, great advice. I'm 53. I started out doing the offiical Push-up Challenge 3 years ago, the one to raise awareness of mental health, That was around 3318 pushups over a 25 day period. When I started I could only do sets of 10. Myself and another decided to keep the challenge going. This year 4 of us are completing 3323 pushups each, over a 25 day cycle, for a 12 month period. The daily amount varies between 75-220. I now bang mine out in sets of 40. We are now in our 10th month. You are right that you need to do them, and general excercise, regularly. I have a busy lifestyle but still find time to do them. Once you're used to them you're doing about 1 pushup every 1-2 seconds. Everyone can find a spare 40-80 seconds in their day. Great topic and enjoying your channel.
Hi mate, Dave here... I'm 67 yrs old, been riding bikes since I was 17 yrs old, currently riding a Softail Slim S with the 110 Screaming Eagle engine (love it)... just watching your video, had a go at your push up challenge (stopped the video straight away and got down to it)... did 18 push ups, last one was struggling a bit. I used to be able to do 30 odd straight off when I was in my 50's, so I think I need a little practice... Your videos hit the mark I have to say and I enjoy watching them.
I'm Billy from US. I'm 72 years old still riding a 2010 Road King Classic and I did 12 regular push-ups for the challenge. But I do 50 modified pushups daily (knees on ground, per ddoctor's orders). as part of my daily routine that takes about 10 minutes. Great Video!
It’s good advice for HD riders, not given often enough. I’m 58, 3 yrs sober and mentally & physically in great shape. Like you said ~ it’s the quality of life that truly matters💯🦾🔥🏍
I am 73 and still riding. Six months ago I started the strength training program. The basic three. Squats, bench press and dead lift. Feels good to just exercise. Get that blood circulating.
Great advice brother , great vlog, I work in the mining game , just turned 59, I climb three sets of stairs up to 30 times a day , keeps me fit .I had a crack at those push ups thinking it would be a piece of piss, I struggled to 10, you've given me motivation to get to 50 push ups . Love the brother hood of man attitude you have , cheers and thanks
Great advice. I'm 75, ride a Heritage, and work on my gentleman's ranch daily. I'm not overweight, but handling my bike has become increasingly difficult due to old injuries returning to haunt me. I'll give the push-ups a go...
I got 9. I'm 68 years old and I know I'm out of shape. When I was in my 30's I could do over 100 but then I got all busted up in a trucking accident. I got lazy. You have reminded me that I have to start working on my physical strength if I am to continue to hold up my electraglide. Living in Pennsylvania, US.
Inspirational. Nice one. 60 old and 11. I’ve been working on weight loss and blood pressure. Gave up a big job last year (been a leader most of my working career) and blood pressure went from 170/115 to 118/78 in 12 months. Dropped weight, stopped alcohol, meditating and Mediterranean diet, with good sleep and no crap food. Core strength next. Currently working the spin bike daily for 30 minutes of high intensity. Your message is right. I’m feeling better, happier and starting to like people again. 😂 Oh, and most importantly, I’m getting in 2-3 good rides in weekly on my Harley. ‘Felxtirement’ Is a good place to be. 😎
Great video, I’m your age and in health care here in the US and it’s amazing what horrible condition people get themselves into long before they get to our age. They often say “Wait til you get to be my age..” and I always say “I was your age several years ago!” 31 push-ups..
At 69 been riding since I was 16...the last 4 years been riding a Kawasaki Zed 900. Just got my 1st NEW Harley 23rd march 2023. shes a 2023 softtail standard. Started working out at 18 never stopped, these days I cross-country ski, shoot black powder and a compound bow and ride a tri-athalon bicycle, plus daily workouts... all my life folks told you should stop you are to old... just made me do more and I told them it was my health insurance. Great channel and wise advice, Sir 👍👍👍
You just never know. About 7 years ago, I returned to my small hometown located in Northeast Arkansas. While there I ran into an old classmate. We were both 54 years old at the time of this meeting. He invited me to his home for an afternoon BBQ. About 5:00 pm on this day, after everyone was finished eating, I informed my buddy I had to head out because I live about 4 hours away. I pulled into my driveway at about 10:30 pm that night. When I entered my house, I had a message on the answering machine. It was my friend's sister calling to let me know my friend had a heart attack about an hour after I left and passed away. Like I say, you just never know when that last breath will occur.
Well ya got me! LOL I will be 70 this month...just did your challenge and did 30 pushups....full up and down to the floor with my chin and straight up...the 30th pushup was admittedly lame. All that being said, your comments have pointed out to me a concern for increasing decline and thanks to you and this video I am rethinking things! During an illness in early 2020 (my doc thinks it was covid) and all the covid lock downs I have been much less active ... two a half years ago I could do 65 pushups in a minute...so the reality is 30 now may seem good but it is all relative ...this a wakeup call as statistically I have lost over 50% in at short period of time. I bought a Softail Harley this summer...haven't ridden in almost 50 years and am loving my return to riding a motorcycle ..but like you want to ride if forever..or close to it. Now I'll go watch the rest of your video...after which i will then get off my duff and go for a hike! Thanks for the reality check!!
New subscriber, an independent Indian Rider in the states. Saw this vid and took it to heart. I am 49 and really out of shape. I tried the challenge... epic fail. I did 3. 30 years back when i signed up for the corps I could easily do 60. I knew I was bad but didn't realize how bad I was. Thank you for this video. A foot in my ass I need. Tomorrow I do 4... wish me luck.
I did six pushups against the kitchen counter. The floor is out right now. It's encouraging to hear you say many of the things I believe are true. Some fine TH-cam doctors target the problem of sugar dependent snacker. And carbs are the next big enemy. Yes, awareness is the key to establish a balanced hatred for fake food. Good work! Keep it going! So 6 push ups is a start. I'll do it every day.
Amon appreciate your work, I found your channel by accident at a time in my life where it was needed. I'm an active advocate for making memories ride a 800 Adventure bike & 250 YZ250FX on the dirt. Last nine weeks I've spent time in hospital and hadto face the likelyhood that one leg was going to be amputated below the knee as an infection wasn't playing ball. I'm tethered to a vacuum pump 24 / 7 but if it heals me so be it Keep up your good work mate 🙂 appreciated.
Hi I have just turned 70 and I did your challenge completing 11 push ups . It was not ezy and I may not be able to lift my coffee tomorrow morning but I am going to give it a go to do 11every morning from now on . I have been riding for 53 years and the last 29 years a Harley , currently a 2017 Road King . Thanks for the motivation.
I've been aware of my poor fitness, and ashamed of it a bit, so I tend to not think I can change it. I just paused the video and barely did 10. Thanks to you, I'm motivated to do something about it. I'll see if I can add 2 a day until I get to maybe 3 sets of 15? I'm 46, 6'1", 255 lbs, and not very strong. I sit at a desk for work, I work from home, and ride a motorcycle in my downtime, which is not physically challenging, for the most part. I've got some work to do. Thank you for taking the time to remind us!
Thanks, my pleasure and remember to be kind to your self. The fact that you even paused the video to try - means you are ahead of many others -- with plenty of hope ahead of you
Nice one mate. Saw you at Micks 60th the other night, wasn't sure it was you - its been a few years. He put me on to your channel. Really enjoyable and great info. well done. (john harper)
Jim kraft hi old timer. Im 85 srarted in 1956, in germany. Glad to see there is couple of still around. Survived leukemia, survive cancer, Survived a. heart attack. I ride a 2007 street glide to which ,due to balance and strength issues, I had a sidecar mounted. Just recently, again, due my inability to use my left foot to shift gears, I had a" jockey shift" installed. I work out at the local gym (not as much as I used to. In an effort to delay as much as possible until they "roll me away" keep the rubber side down. Regards.
44, had to have my lower spine bolted back together several years ago when a previously-undiagnosed birth defect finally broke down. Mobility loss and nerve damage prompted a career change to a desk job, and I've really let myself go. I'm just getting back into riding and that's motivation to take better care of myself (down 50lbs over the last 2 years). Getting up and down to the ground isn't my idea of a good time, but I gave you 20 inclined pushups off my work desk.
71 and counting here in Texas. You are right quality of life is important. I do a 55 minute HIT workout that includes, among other things, 100 push ups and light weight ass to the floor squats. I haven't been riding Harleys the last 4 years more about the cost than anything else. I am semi retired. Don't like riding old bikes so changing HD bikes every 2 or 3 years gets expensive. I am in my Italian phase. Currently riding a Moto Guzzi. Just found your Vlog and enjoying it.
Great advise! It’s sad that people just don’t get it we was made to do not sit and rot away, some of us will never have the time to do all that we want others are sitting around waiting to die. I just had a total knee replacement so I can stand to go at it like have always done and at 64 I don’t plan on slowing down! Life was given to live not waste. I love the title of your channel my daughter is a nurse she tells me better to be old not cold!
Spot on! I am 63 and am getting back active why I got a motorcycle again to get out and about beyond sitting all day at a computer for work. Also got back into marshal arts after a 20 year life happened. I have a Hell Cat as well, so a bit of a need for adventure ;) I also do car shows with the Hell Kitten over the summer and that is a lot of cleaning. Last Monday I did 25 push-ups so a long way to 40 LOL! Well done again! Not sure how many women need to do in terms of push-ups.
71 years old. I just did 5 pushups. I maybe could have gotten 1 or 2 more. I bought a 2010 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster four months ago. I bought the 883 because I didn't know if I could even ride a motorcycle after thirty five years of not riding. I've put 3,200 miles on it in less than four months! I think I can still ride! I purely love it! I cannot figure out why I stopped riding thirty five years ago.
Whatt??? I am 81 and ride now a 15 year old Harley, and have been riding motorbikes since my 18th birthday. I have smoked everything, drunk everything and ate eveything. The hard work of riding the Harley kept me fit and lively. So, keep riding to stay young!
New to the channel.. great video.. Good conversation. LOL you actually managed to get me up out my chair, and managed 11 pushups.. But you are right, we got to keep moving. walking and hiking a bit everyday is helpful. Thanks for sharing.
great video.. thank God I still exercise 2-3 days per week.. nothing special just stretches, a few pushups and some weight training. At 56 years old I can still do 30 pushups. Could lose a few pounds though.. thanks for the reminder.. I plan on riding my Harley for a very long time...
Thanks for the kind words. I use Adobe Premiere Elements. Which is the cheaper NON subscription / professional version. Not for any reason other than i found it, it seems simple yet does complex jobs (for my level) it was cheap to buy and no subscription. If i upgrade one day to premiere pro the controls will be similar. Good luck with your channel and let me know when you start
I am 66 and recently purchased my second HD. I pressed that pause button as you suggested and did 25 push ups. Riding and eating a good steak and cheese pie is part of my routine 😁👍🤘
Great advice. I’m a bit on the young side and love riding my bike, but I know I’m out of shape and this is a good inspiration to get back into it to keep riding even when I get older. 🏍👍
I love this channel, As a bloke who loves being a power ranger (50) sugar drinks, coffee with loads of milk will load the fat. I love a beer, I’ve given them up for months and certainly lost a few kg’s whilst doing so. It was when I went long blk coffee that bought me into Grant Kenny body of my youth . Thanks champ
I know some highly skilled guys who died both on different types of bikes with one of them a certified AMA racer who went through multiple courses to get certified. The other guy had years of experience on his Harley. I was totally shocked and never would have thought that these two guys would die riding. Some stuff is just out of your control so all you can do is try minimize your exposure to unforeseen accidents and surprises. The racer went not going exceptionally fast. A elderly lady back into traffic and my buddy was in the right lane never had a chance to avoid it. The Harley rider got cutoff on the freeway and rear ended a stoped car in the emergency lane. He also had no time to react. I miss both of them they were my riding buddies!
This is a great topic and I think every Harley rider in the United States should view this video. This will help give me incentive to exercise more too.
51 years old and was doing 300 pushups a day before I went down in 2020. Trying to get back into doing the pushups. Even with a separated shoulder. My count was 40!!!! Army vet/Retiree here. GET SOME!!!!
63, medically retired from the U.S. Military due to autoimmune diseases. I’ve been riding for 50+ years and I live with serious pain 24/7. Not whining and in fact just the opposite. Riding is the least painful way of traveling and also my favorite means of traveling and getting a little workout without unnecessary shock to my skeletal system for the most part. Less talking, more Riding.
Good stuff, I just did 40. Couldn't do 41 though. LOL! I just turned 50 yrs this month. You're right though about keep moving. I'm a superintendent in commercial construction which allows me to move around daily. I want to keep riding the Road Glide Special. Cheers!
64 knuckle push ups (kento). I am 41, based on BMI I am overweight too, even though my dodyfat is around 12.5-14% based on the last dexa scan... live hard, ride easy! Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧
I will turn 67 in 3 weeks and I have kidney disease but, I still ride my Harley. Mine is a 2013 XL1200CP bought brand new in 2013 and this bike is just right for my size. I am not a big guy (145 pounds & 5' 10" tall) and I know my limitations. It is very comfy with the upgraded suspension (Progressive front & rear) and the Mustang saddle seat. All the upgrades I have done makes this my ultimate ride. Being a 1200, it is the biggest bike I have ever owned. I had a 750 before this. I can ride for 200 miles with no problem before my kidneys tell me to rest. I did park it for 3 years and almost sold it but, I am glad I didn't. Bike has almost 23,000 miles on it now. I plan on riding as long as I can!
Ok I just did 12 I'm 66 and haven't done much in the realm of push ups since my second wreck, came out of that with 3 crushed vertebrae, broken hip, and femur. Back in 2005 I was doing 1250 a night 10 sets of 125. Thanks for the motivational.video, it's on.
I’m 62, watch my diet, still do my martial arts twice a week, love my push ups and sit ups, walk heaps and happily ride my 21 low rider, been riding since I was 6, hope to ride for a long time to come.
I'm 66, 20 - all chest to ground and full arm extension. Part of my routine, plus 30 sit-ups, 20 squats and sometimes 50 reps on the rowing machine. Hope to hold the health demons off for a few more years.
Just watched your video, totally agree and enjoy your video and will watch more. From Alberta Canada ride 2016 Fatboy S 117 age 65 just did your pushup challenge, did 40 could have sqeezed out another 10 but still recovering from tendon injury R elbow.....Your right most Harley riders R out of shape to the point of obese....I believe like U keeping in shape may not allow U to live longer but your quality of life is way better....
Hi Aymen, and G’day from sunny Spain. Watched this last night. I’ve got to say, it was inspiring stuff. So much so that I got down and gave you…..11 this morning. But hey, it’s early days and I have been having issues with energy levels lately. I’m hoping some B complex supplements will help with that. Love the content, keep it coming.
Hi Paul a big hello to you too. 11 is a great start!! Yes B vitamins help with energy. I eat very low carb and I find that pink salt gives a big boost (low carb means you don't hold salt) so lots of varianles to explore
We have a pretty good balanced diet, Mediterranean style. Lots of fresh stuff. But hardly any salt. Just been reading up and looks like previous concerns over blood pressure etc from high salt intake may be in question. We generally use sea salt if anything. Not much pink salt here but it was all the place in NZ. I’m going to try adding a bit more to my daily intake. Another Aussie mate is telling me about the benefits of papaya leaf. I’ll be trying that too. I dropped and got 14 in today.
@@paulnicholls2921 lol that was an easy improvement. You only need salt if you are low carb. I do it via taste, if a half teaspoon tastes too salty i have enough, if it verges on being ok then i need it. Takes a while to get used to but seems to work.
Haha! Yes, it would look like that. But to be fair, without doing any real exercise I keep reasonably fit. We live on a sailing boat and it goes with the territory. I read that in the U.S. 1 teaspoon of salt is the recommended daily max. I don’t use a fraction of that. And with the climate here we drink a lot, water and booze, so that may lead to minerals being flushed out more quickly. Anyway, the B complex seems to be helping. You got 2 sets of 10 so far and it’s only mid afternoon. 😉
Good job. We have some opposing forces that naturally are at play. Time spent riding the bike = Fun Vs lifting weights, pushups etc = work. We must love the work because it will be the thing the enhances the joy of riding. Keep it up
I'm 64 this Saturday. I weigh 165 lbs. - 75 kg. By the grace of God I made 11. I will set a goal to do this everyday for a year and see where I end up. Thnx as always.
this is great stuff you are so right its never too late to look after yourself and it doesn't matter what it is i have always walked and cycled and loved the outdoors and lots of motorcycling and riding where i live the roads are that bad its another workout .
67 and I did 15 before my dog thought I wanted to play. Probably could do 5 more. I do a chin up challenge every year for my birthday. The goal is to do 10 on my birthday. I usually start about a month before. The chin up challenge is a lot harder, since most people can’t even do one. I mainly do them because my shoulder hurts when I ride after about an hour, and those chin ups help a lot.
I’m 62 years old, and I’m ripped…I workout religiously, I eat clean and I’m unvaxxed. And yes I ride a Harley-Davidson. Ride swift, ride safe everyone. STAY HARD💪. 🏍💨🔥…🇨🇦✌️😎
that's a great challenge , i myself can do it with no problem. I put Thousands of miles on my bikes every year more than fit to do so.. great video and topic 👍
I've lost several friends from Bike wrecks, Unfortunately they all made bad choices when they decided to ride and not take a cab. I never ever ride if I've been having a few, But I also know that even if I keep my head on a swivel which I do....when your number comes up ,it comes up ! Until then at the age of 65 I will continue to Twist it !!
Cycling is also a brill cardio exercise (I normally commute by bicycle but an Arctic snow and iceblast this past week ~10*c here in Scotland this morning.
I used to cycle everywhere in my teens, twenties and thirties. I stopped because the roads are too busy here now and you get more bang for your buck in terms of exercise efficiency with running or walking. Cycling is an executives networking team sport here now.
Hahaha... I'll be 61 this May 1st. 2024 I did 10. Guess I've got some practice to do to get to 61 push-ups on my birthday. Love the channel! Keep up th good work.
Hi Mates.... 2005 15th anniv silver 95" fatboy, 16inch apes! 37,564 on her. im 57 years young! been riding since im 15, dirt bikes first! took the PU challenge, did a slow 20!! thanks for the great advice! tell Sharon, we said,"HELLO"
44 Only got 20 in. Far from what I used to do. Time to take it seriously. I've gotten away with a natural big build too long. Time to back it up again.
Actually I died in 1982, twice. But it wasn’t on my Harley, it was in a car. I hit another car like mine at Tynong North Victoria, we were both doing 100kph. The prop shafts were found 500m apart. It took me years to recover and my wife was told I would not live the night. Then she was told if I did live, I’d be a vegetable, then it became hell never walk again. Well, i’m still here. And it was tough, but after that I managed major construction sites worth a $billion and worked in a number of countries. I live in chronic pain, but I live. And it’s good. I sailed a yacht from QLD to Greece with my mate and another guy. I’m on my second Harley and I’m not done yet. You’re dead if you give up, but I’m not dead until I say I’m dead. Life is for enjoying, so get out there and live it.
Been riding 50 years I was never over weight till my heart attack that was 9 months ago. Im working on losing 40 pounds its harder to get rid of it than gain it . My brother died of brain cancer 75 we went out 2 months before he died he had no idea he had it . I worked with men in their 80s who still road Both owned their business . 4 pushups but im all busted up 2 torn rotator cuff, spinal stenosis, plus a heart attack . i have quit smoking . i will ride till i feel unsafe on the bike . I could do 100 pushups in 2018 , 2019 I started falling off . I will never own no Electric Car or Bike . I drilled 500 oil wells so all them that want to ban cars could drive they never wanted to walk to the bus stop . no mater how many things you show them they still think its Man made lol
@@OldNotDead-Club Im trying Old beat up Roughneck from the oil fields in west Texas USA where boys become men . I think I have a few more years yet . My Dad is the lucky one 88 gets round lot better then I do but he quit riding in 2001 .
I'm 58, ride a 92 Heritage Classic and just kicked out 40 pushups and 7 pull ups. I kind of figured I could do the pushups but was a bit shocked that I was only able to put up 7 pull ups. That's hard.
Im 63 and still riding my road glide limited. Getting ready for a week trip to the mountains with the wife on the bike. Strength is needed . Im going the gym tonight after work 😊
There are many life conditions worse than death. I’m an old retired medical vet and I’ve seen them. I’ve been riding a long time, several bikes, in multiple states. I’ve noticed my Harley buddies grow old. It’s a shame the bikes have gotten too expensive and too big, kinda refusing to compete. Political s#;t gets on my nerves. Harley Davidson made the decision, not us. Thanks for sharing this…from east Tennessee.
WOW! i did do more than I thought I could. 63 years young 21 was my max. haven't done pushups for at least ten years. I will check back in 2 months. set it in my calendar. thank you for the encouragement. Wyoming, USA. ( fat capitalistic American. damn straiinght)
I'm 67 ,do 1hr walk ( 6 kms ) most days of the week .Tried the push ups just now only managed 7 ,I'll try for 8 tomorrow & keep it up till hopefully reach 20+.
Fantastic topic, I see men our age( you have a few years on me) everyday in my job who don’t look after their health an it shows. I’ve heard all the excuses you can imagine as to why. But it’s a choice of what you do and what you eat. 20 done. I’m off to the gym.

LOL
I have a bad back and neuropathy in my feet.
Thanks for the reply. Great to hear you are still riding at 82. Your jacket must have the best patina ever!
@@OldNotDead-Club don’t forget married for over 60 years. That’s not the only bit of leather with patina 🧐

Great story Jim. God bless you buddy🙏
He certainly has. Not that I deserve it. John 3:18.
Keep moving Brother!
welcome to the channel and great effort with the push ups!
I'm 76, riding since 1964. Own a large Harley but... I need to start to exercise... Today!!!
Thanks for the wake up call!!
My pleasure and I hope its made a difference
59 years old and took your push-up challenge. Did 12, with some struggling and some weird sounds! Thanks for the encouragement. I’m on my third day in a row and plan to continue. ( still only 12, but it’ll improve)
Try doing less (8) but repeat a few times with a minutes break and then next week go back and try for 13 or 14
At 65 I just did 15 push ups...I think I'm recovering from blacking out now !
Don't give up
@Henry lol, I know that feeling.. I'm 66 now and started getting back in shape a couple of years back. I promise it gets easier if you stick with it..
Keep it up mate and try to increase them by 2 extra each week.
Rubber side down. 🤘
Thanks. That's a legendary effort - well done and also a great cause
Good show! Indian rider here: 16 Scout and 18 RoadMaster. 55 y/o male - just pumped out 40 push-ups for ya mate!
well done, hope you are enjoying your bikes?
Man, what a hidden gem of a channel. Please continue to share your wisdom and positivity with us in the future my brother.
Thank you very much, thats appreciated
Hi mate, Dave here... I'm 67 yrs old, been riding bikes since I was 17 yrs old, currently riding a Softail Slim S with the 110 Screaming Eagle engine (love it)... just watching your video, had a go at your push up challenge (stopped the video straight away and got down to it)... did 18 push ups, last one was struggling a bit. I used to be able to do 30 odd straight off when I was in my 50's, so I think I need a little practice... Your videos hit the mark I have to say and I enjoy watching them.
Thanks, 18 without practice is great, keep it up
I'm Billy from US. I'm 72 years old still riding a 2010 Road King Classic and I did 12 regular push-ups for the challenge. But I do 50 modified pushups daily (knees on ground, per ddoctor's orders). as part of my daily routine that takes about 10 minutes.
Great Video!
Thank you - you are a legend for still exercising at your age - fantastic and inspirational
Awesome work, Billy. Keep it up!
It’s good advice for HD riders, not given often enough. I’m 58, 3 yrs sober and mentally & physically in great shape. Like you said ~ it’s the quality of life that truly matters💯🦾🔥🏍
Thank you - great to see you off the booze and in good shape
I am 73 and still riding. Six months ago I started the strength training program. The basic three. Squats, bench press and dead lift. Feels good to just exercise. Get that blood circulating.
Thats great - strength training makes a huge difference to quality of life
Great advice brother , great vlog, I work in the mining game , just turned 59, I climb three sets of stairs up to 30 times a day , keeps me fit .I had a crack at those push ups thinking it would be a piece of piss, I struggled to 10, you've given me motivation to get to 50 push ups . Love the brother hood of man attitude you have , cheers and thanks
Thank you. Don't be hard on yourself - 10 is a great start
Well done brother.. I’m 59 and the fittest I’ve ever been in my life for the exact reasons you’re talking about . 👍
Thanks and good to hear you are fit and healthy
Great advice. I'm 75, ride a Heritage, and work on my gentleman's ranch daily. I'm not overweight, but handling my bike has become increasingly difficult due to old injuries returning to haunt me. I'll give the push-ups a go...
Good luck, squats help too
9 at 68 is a great start, well done. Just build a habit
Keep up the push ups mate. Little by little you can still make those gains, don't give up brother! 9 a day for 6 days is 2,808 push ups a year!
Well done 31 is awesome! You are spot on people really let themselves go
At 69 been riding since I was 16...the last 4 years been riding a Kawasaki Zed 900.
Love the z900 I had one for a while too. It's also great to see you are active and riding at 69 - well done
Like I say, you just never know when that last breath will occur.
sorry to hear that - all the more reason to LIVE your life
Well ya got me!
Thanks for watching and congratulations for your hard work - it sounds like you are pretty fit
56 years old, 25 push-ups, Road glide Special and Kawasaki Vulcan 1700cc. Thank you God.
Thats great, way to go!
Welcome to the channel. 3 is not a fail. You just build on it. Good luck and let me know how you in a month or so.
I'm tethered to a vacuum pump 24 / 7 but if it heals me so be it
Keep up your good work mate 🙂 appreciated.
Thanks - I wish you well and blessings for a speedy recovery
Hi I have just turned 70 and I did your challenge completing 11 push ups . It was not ezy and I may not be able to lift my coffee tomorrow morning but I am going to give it a go to do 11every morning from now on . I have been riding for 53 years and the last 29 years a Harley , currently a 2017 Road King . Thanks for the motivation.
Hey that's fantastic! Keep up the great work. Love the road king.
Thank you very much, was a great night. You should have said hello!
64 years old, 40 push ups. Thanks for discussing this topic.
Sensational, well done
Jim kraft hi old timer. Im 85 srarted in 1956, in germany. Glad to see there is couple of still around. Survived leukemia, survive cancer, Survived a. heart attack. I ride a 2007 street glide to which ,due to balance and strength issues, I had a sidecar mounted. Just recently, again, due my inability to use my left foot to shift gears, I had a" jockey shift" installed. I work out at the local gym (not as much as I used to. In an effort to delay as much as possible until they "roll me away" keep the rubber side down. Regards.
I'll be 60 in 2 days and I have many miles to ride before I check out. Great topic! Eric
Thanks, Eric and once again the shout out was much appreciated.
I’m 40 and I’m at the gym listening. So I’m not about to add push-ups today. Solid idea and a great thing to spread awareness about.
Thanks, great that you are at the gym
44, had to have my lower spine bolted back together several years ago when a previously-undiagnosed birth defect finally broke down. Mobility loss and nerve damage prompted a career change to a desk job, and I've really let myself go. I'm just getting back into riding and that's motivation to take better care of myself (down 50lbs over the last 2 years). Getting up and down to the ground isn't my idea of a good time, but I gave you 20 inclined pushups off my work desk.
It's refreshing when you hear someone who out of the millions is awake to the current agenda. Thank you for your content.
Thanks for watching and I agree - love finding the awake and like minded.
Thanks and great to see you fit and riding at 71
Great advise!
Thank you - stay active
Way to go! Keep it up and ride safe
Whatt??? I am 81 and ride now a 15 year old Harley, and have been riding motorbikes since my 18th birthday. I have smoked everything, drunk everything and ate eveything. The hard work of riding the Harley kept me fit and lively. So, keep riding to stay young!
That's fantastic riding at 81 - respect!
New to the channel.. great video.. Good conversation. LOL you actually managed to get me up out my chair, and managed 11 pushups.. But you are right, we got to keep moving. walking and hiking a bit everyday is helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel
I just inherited my dad's Harley after he passed away in February, from a heart attack. He is exactly who you are talking about.
I'm sorry to hear that
great video.. thank God I still exercise 2-3 days per week.. nothing special just stretches, a few pushups and some weight training. At 56 years old I can still do 30 pushups. Could lose a few pounds though.. thanks for the reminder.. I plan on riding my Harley for a very long time...
Thanks and great effort!
Enjoying your channel, starting my up soon, could you please let me know, which editor suite you use, and why?
Thanks for the kind words. I use Adobe Premiere Elements. Which is the cheaper NON subscription / professional version. Not for any reason other than i found it, it seems simple yet does complex jobs (for my level) it was cheap to buy and no subscription. If i upgrade one day to premiere pro the controls will be similar. Good luck with your channel and let me know when you start
I am 66 and recently purchased my second HD. I pressed that pause button as you suggested and did 25 push ups. Riding and eating a good steak and cheese pie is part of my routine 😁👍🤘
Excellent work. Lol, you are making me hungry
Cheese pie? I’ve never heard of that... Do you mean cheesecake? 🤨
@@jhask64 we have steak and cheese pie, steak and kidney pie, mince pie, and all sorts of other filling pies.
Nice one bro. I love the mix of bikes and health - physical and mental, that you give. 🤜👍
Thanks that's much appreciated
Great advice. I’m a bit on the young side and love riding my bike, but I know I’m out of shape and this is a good inspiration to get back into it to keep riding even when I get older. 🏍👍
Good to hear you like riding - start early with your health and it will be easier for you
I love this channel, As a bloke who loves being a power ranger (50) sugar drinks, coffee with loads of milk will load the fat.
65 YO, 37 push-ups, love your channel
Fantastic, keep up the good work Mike... and thanks that's appreciated
This is a great topic and I think every Harley rider in the United States should view this video. This will help give me incentive to exercise more too.
Glad it was helpful!
51 years old and was doing 300 pushups a day before I went down in 2020. Trying to get back into doing the pushups. Even with a separated shoulder. My count was 40!!!! Army vet/Retiree here. GET SOME!!!!
way to go, 300 is great
Again great stuff and a relaxed delivery that we can take on board
Thanks, that's much appreciated
63, medically retired from the U.S. Military due to autoimmune diseases. I’ve been riding for 50+ years and I live with serious pain 24/7. Not whining and in fact just the opposite. Riding is the least painful way of traveling and also my favorite means of traveling and getting a little workout without unnecessary shock to my skeletal system for the most part. Less talking, more Riding.
Take care of yourself and ride safe
Good stuff, I just did 40. Couldn't do 41 though. LOL! I just turned 50 yrs this month. You're right though about keep moving. I'm a superintendent in commercial construction which allows me to move around daily. I want to keep riding the Road Glide Special. Cheers!
40 is sensational, keep up the great work and enjoy your Glide
Great video mate I really enjoyed that. I need to get cracking on those push-ups
Thank you very much and i like your video's too - we can all get cracking on more push ups
Thanks for your input. Great to see you are riding at 67, stay safe and healthy
Thanks for reminding us oldies .😊
My pleasure 😊
What a great message. I paused as mentioned, I did 15, could have pushed to 18 at best I think, but I am only 43 so this was a bit of a wake up call.
Thanks for watching and I hope it prompts some effort for your health and fitness in the future
Great channel, probably 20 years since i did push ups, iam 62 and got to 13, yeah need to work on that...Thanks
Thanks very much - that's appreciated and well done with the push ups - keep it up
AM 73 NOW BEEN RIDING MOTORCYCLES SINCE 13
Ok I just did 12 I'm 66 and haven't done much in the realm of push ups since my second wreck, came out of that with 3 crushed vertebrae, broken hip, and femur. Back in 2005 I was doing 1250 a night 10 sets of 125. Thanks for the motivational.video, it's on.
12 is a great start especially if you are / or have been injured - look forward to hearing of your progress
Hope to hold the health demons off for a few more years.
well done and glad to see you fit!
Thanks, 40 is awesome and so is the Fatboy
Thanks for the video...It inspired me to step up my push up game.
Go for it!
Good job. We have some opposing forces that naturally are at play. Time spent riding the bike = Fun Vs lifting weights, pushups etc = work. We must love the work because it will be the thing the enhances the joy of riding. Keep it up
Thanks
I'm 64 this Saturday. I weigh 165 lbs. - 75 kg. By the grace of God I made 11. I will set a goal to do this everyday for a year and see where I end up. Thnx as always.
Great to hear Royce, you will improve easily. Great start by the way.
this is great stuff you are so right its never too late to look after yourself and it doesn't matter what it is i have always walked and cycled and loved the outdoors and lots of motorcycling and riding where i live the roads are that bad its another workout .
Thank you
I did 13 I'm 49 and way out of shape great video
Thank you - now is your chance to take control of your health
67 and I did 15 before my dog thought I wanted to play. Probably could do 5 more. I do a chin up challenge every year for my birthday. The goal is to do 10 on my birthday. I usually start about a month before. The chin up challenge is a lot harder, since most people can’t even do one. I mainly do them because my shoulder hurts when I ride after about an hour, and those chin ups help a lot.
What is the exchange rate between American years and Australian years?
Same as the dollar lol

You have earned my respect sir. Any man who is not afraid to tell it like it is (climate change bullshit, vaccine bullshit) is OK with me. Subscribed.
Thank you, we need to band together
that's a great challenge , i myself can do it with no problem. I put Thousands of miles on my bikes every year more than fit to do so.. great video and topic 👍
Thank you - I'm glad your riding problem free
I've lost several friends from Bike wrecks, Unfortunately they all made bad choices when they decided to ride and not take a cab. I never ever ride if I've been having a few, But I also know that even if I keep my head on a swivel which I do....when your number comes up ,it comes up ! Until then at the age of 65 I will continue to Twist it !!
Thanks and well done riding at 65!
43yrs, 24 pushups. I exercise, but haven't done an honest push up in a while!
Well done. Any exercise is good exercise
I'm 59 i ride a cvo Street glide just done 50 push ups, but I do 50 every morning & every evening.
Hey that's great... so is the Street Glide

Great to hear you are ok, you are spot on in regard to .. its not over till its over

I drilled 500 oil wells so all them that want to ban cars could drive they never wanted to walk to the bus stop . no mater how many things you show them they still think its Man made lol
Thanks for your comment and I hope you can keep riding for many years to come - please look after your health
@@OldNotDead-Club Im trying Old beat up Roughneck from the oil fields in west Texas USA where boys become men . I think I have a few more years yet . My Dad is the lucky one 88 gets round lot better then I do but he quit riding in 2001 .
Only the brain washed. We have all seen that utube vid of a tesla being charged by the generator 50 m behind the plug in point.
Thanks for watching stay healthy ride safe
WOW! i did do more than I thought I could. 63 years young 21 was my max. haven't done pushups for at least ten years.
I will check back in 2 months. set it in my calendar.
thank you for the encouragement. Wyoming, USA. ( fat capitalistic American. damn straiinght)
Well done and thanks for watching
I'm 67 ,do 1hr walk ( 6 kms ) most days of the week .Tried the push ups just now only managed 7 ,I'll try for 8 tomorrow & keep it up till hopefully reach 20+.
That's great - keep going you will see the reward
if you can do just 1 the proper way - the rest is building endurance
Fantastic topic, I see men our age( you have a few years on me) everyday in my job who don’t look after their health an it shows.
I’ve heard all the excuses you can imagine as to why.
But it’s a choice of what you do and what you eat.
20 done.
I’m off to the gym.
Hey well done - 20 is great and so is the Gym
@@OldNotDead-Club yeah I never do push-ups because I’ve got excuse’s ha ha.
