- Better range, battery alarm, new tires, Motor and ESC cooling mod, Battery is now inside car for better handling and stable jumping. Battery wiring schema at the end of video of 3S Lipo just add one battery in the same way like on the picture and you get 4S Lipo wiring. Enjoy!

Update after whole summer of driving:
I order extra set of gears,deferential,motor,ESC and tires just to have replacement if I need it.
So far I run this 4S whole summer and nothing brake so far.
Don't go over 4S or ESC will burn out.
Don't floor it all the time! Keep the power in burst like for short period of time and then drive normally to let the ESC and Motor to cool down.
I recommend to keep it at maximum 4S.

I broke two front wheels and bumper because I slam car into huge rock at full speed.
I fix it and its like new again. Still going strong!

If you try to wheelie, drop the car while spinning wheels or otherwise cause shock loading to the car while at full throttle you will snap teeth off the first gear in the gearbox. I have owned 4 gearbox and 3 motors and 5 diffs and many first gears. If your diff fails or favours one side, use epoxy to weld it for great results.
Just pulled my son's 9120 apart, first nylon "spur" is missing a tooth. We're running 3s and metal dog bones (snapped the plastic ones) so it's got crunched in the middle. Diff is a bit stiff on one side too.

any shock absorber upgrades to oil shocks which can be fitted without too much cutting the body
The heat sinks don't have "3M tape", they have thermal pads , to transfer heat you know. By using that white tape you're just screwing the thermal transfer up.
Is there any way to put metal differentials on that car? Mine had broke and i have one from my broken 1:12 scale car

Thanks. Well Let me tell you that am still driving with stock drive train and servo. And its still working fine. Not sure about the wearing of components inside but it's still riding just fine. BTW I have order long time ago replacement motor,servo,gears,differential some other parts etc just in case if something fail. So far so good.
whats the best battery to buy for this to make it faster but not worry about breaking it or over heating?

I think they are nylon already. Yes it can withstand loads because of rear drive and lightweight of truck. Wheels easy spins and that relief transmission stress. In fact I still have stock transmission.

Hello Nexi. about 1-2 years ago i bought this car(and watched your videos) so i upgraded to an 11.1V 3s. After all this time the motor finally died and caught fire.(still works but catches fire after 30 seconds of usage). Do you know of any good upgrade motors? Preferably needs to be brushed, similar dimensions and more powerful.

If you look on my first video review about this truck you will find that I had the same 6 pin connector like you. Just cut it and save two main wire( positive and ground) and then solder T connector or XT60. Then you can connect battery you like.

I'm working on an rc with live camera right now. However the car only comes with 230 mAh 3.7v battery. My question is can I replace that battery with a 2000 mAh 3.7V battery?
I replace it with 4 x 2100mAh 3.7v battery that's 4S Lion. Full charged voltage is 16.8v and 2100mAh.
If you use 3s lipo you (can) burn the engine like i did so i will have to change the motor to a new one
Am using this RC with 4S Lion for months now and it still working great. (you can see my review video before this video I demonstrate 3S and 4s test drive) No problem at all. Of course if you pushing it to much with 100% throttle all the time without cooling mod than I guess you can burn motor. Spare motor is very cheap BTW.
About how much did the upgrades cost? And where could I get them?

How did you make the fan to spin equally to the speed?
Fan wires connecting to the Esc/motor wire. Not to batterie/Esc.
I can only find a rc motor cooling fan rated at 5V, wont the Lipo 3S & 4S battery burn this up?
da man you dont connect it to the battery connect it to the motor wires so when you give it throttle as the motor turns so will the fan
I agree with your question. All I can think of is to find out what the voltage ratings are for the motor. You can find small 12v fans in many types of electronics. Thrift stores are good for salvaging on a budget. Correct me if I'm wrong but, since the fan and motor share a circuit, the fan should be fine. But personally I'd add a voltage regulator for the fan or only use that 5v in smaller rc cars.

Edu funnyworld 11.1V is 3S lipo,12.6v full charged. You will be fine with 3S lipo. Am using 4S Lion pack with around 16.8V full charged. No problems.

I made ton of upgrade, big tires, 3s battery, radiator & fan for motor similar to your setup... still ended up i blowing the motor, it smoked up. Looking to upgrade it to something bigger stronger, do you know what motor would work best for upgrade, and do you know what kind of gear shaft the stock motor has on them? Real handy and can do lot of custom stuff, just looking for motor capable for the space and gears. You the expert really appreciate if you drop some knowledge what I have to look for when trying to upgrade, i take it the space and gear shaft is one the things that has to line up fro the upgrade. Any suggestions really appreciated. Great custom RC, u the reason i went with 3s :)

Hey^^ i was driven with 4s and all was okay but one day i drived, the connection from the controller to the car was gone and it drives full speed on an wall... than it was smoking and stink very very bad... after one day , i looked what it was.. it was the main
circuit board it was completly black and the plastic around was molten... now i can buy a new one.... the repair will not worthy because i moded this car before and some shit
HDLetsPlaysHigh well i used 3s and my engine started smokin and it broke then i bought new engine.So i recomend to get some coolant system for your motor.

Its totally unnecessary. ESC will not take more Amps. You can connect 100A battery and car will go same.

Michael Dilger i think what your looking for is deans connector...like if you want to use 3s then put the deans and the battery and if you want to use your ordinary then remove the deans...

Jack Jason Well it's possible but you have to change ESC as well. But honestly there is no need for brushless motor on this RC. You will need alot of driving to use up this motor. In that time you will probably crash it so many times. BTW replacement motor cost less than 9usd.

I did not break gears even after full year of driving on 4S. But you can get replacement gears on Gearbest. Look in manual book for part number.
I do not understand why to me without going to the maximum and playing normal after 4 times that I used it broke.
