I order extra set of gears,deferential,motor,ESC and tires just to have replacement if I need it.
So far I run this 4S whole summer and nothing brake so far.
Don't go over 4S or ESC will burn out.
Don't floor it all the time! Keep the power in burst like for short period of time and then drive normally to let the ESC and Motor to cool down.
I recommend to keep it at maximum 4S.
Also I build my battery inside car now so I have much better balance.

Mine does 38 mph at half throttle on 3s before it loses control. I broke the chassis but have since put her back on road. She's brushless running a 17t pinion gear..need a fan on motor though and will change to a better servo setup, but she is fun to drive and your videos helped me to make mine full hobby grade. Thanks

if it was fastest & almost twice the speed on the Lipo 4, how much faster was it on the Lipo 5s then? :) because of your wonderful video's, I have bought 2 pair's- lipo 11.1 & 2 pair of lipo 7.4"s deans connector wires velcro straps, soldering iron etc, :) & getting ready to buy some spare gears, just in case :) your vids where VERY helpful tks.
Also you can buy LIPO battery's from traxxas to make it faster? Also could you switch to brushless on this type.
Hello, I have this car also and it came with a 9.6v 800maH Batt but the time running it was like 10 mins so I converted the connector to take a 2S 7.4v 3500maH and it runs for like 35 mins. will I be able to put a 3S 11.1v in it or will that be to much for the car?

panor86 Thank you. Well I recommend to just buy some cheap 3S lipo instead. It's a bit difficult to build battery. You need a spot-welder.

For some reason the remote is not connecting to the car. how do I reset this? When I pick up the truck and I press forward and reverse it’s working but when I put it on the ground it’s not going

I have two 9.6v li-on 800mah batteries. What are your thoughts if I wire them in series? Or maybe I should just stick to a 4S Lipo battery? Thanks.
Kristoffer Moncada Well Two Life4 9.6v in series is 21.9V fully charged. That's going to be a bit to much. It will work but not sure for how long. I would go with 4SLipo charged to around 4.1V each cell. That's best for the long term for battery and for Truck.

but the ball connection on the front weel wore out and because the screw was so small i had to make a washer to fit

hmm i own one of them but it goes way faster then your 4s and i use the standard
how can i upgrade the battery in this one . mine came with a flat six pin connector and i cant buy any other battery :(. the one in the box last 2 minutes max
drKungen Just cut it mate! You have 2 wires on ESC. One wire is plus and other is minus/ground. Please check stage 2 upgrade on this truck. It may help. Take care.

Nope gears are fine. I order Extra gears,deferential and motor and esc and tires just to have replacement if I need it. So far I run this 4S whole summer and nothing brake so far. I brake two front wheels because I slam car into huge rock at full speed :) Also I modified battery to 5S and after to 6S and that my ESC Burn out :D I recommend to keep it maximum 4S. Also I build my battery inside car now so I have much better balance. I will make another video about that as well.

I mean, how did you do that you could connect a battery with 2 wires?
Because the car's original battery has six wires, and it prevents from inserting a battery with 2 wires.
So how to convert it from 6 to 2 ??

It's easy. Only two wires( + and -) are power for esc and motor. Other wires are for "balancing" original battery. You don't actually need more then 2 wire ;)

Don't run a 4s on it you will strip the transmission gears really quickly I would only use 3s max on this as that's pushing it with the gears inless you don't mind spending loads on replacement gears
You reckon i could run mine on a 1200mAh battery? 7.4v. I want someone to test before i wreck mine :)
Michael Dilger 7.4v? Not a sweat. I run some time even 21V on this. ESC will burn over 24-25V. On 16V it's very stable so 4S I recommend most. Check my second video about upgrades on this truck. Look on my chanel.

i'm not worries about voltage just amperage.
Michael Dilger i think amperage is for play time, so it just extends it, but voltage is the main reason why gears,motors and esc's are break....
Fridash Vidz Well not really true. Amps are that power(momentum) that rips off wheels/tires,break gears and engine and etc. Voltage is just how fast engine and gears/wheels will run. More voltage-faster you go. More Amps the faster acceleration you get. Amps hour is capacity of battery meaning how long it will driving last. So Volts,Amps and Amp-hours are totaly different thing.

That is 3S Lipo. Yes you can. Up to 16V you are fine.

Fridash Vidz My battery is Lion but there are pretty much same Lithium chemistry. Lion is usually 4.2V and Lipo are 4.35V max. I recommend that you charge them both to 4V to save cell cycle-life or around 80% of charge. Btw check my part two video of this truck :) Got some more upgrades.

Nexi whats the maximum voltage this car can take?
I said it on part 2 video. Maximum was around 25-26V before ESC burn out. Try keep it below 20V at least. I run some time on 5S Lion around 21V And it was Ok. Keep it slow on throttle if you want gears and deferential to survive :D I still recommend 4S maximum for best life of moving parts and maintenance.

@@NexiTech I tried it and it worked at first then i heard a pop and it stopped but still steers, im wondering if it shorted where ive soldered the wires.

Take look on Aliexpress or ebay. search for high discharge 18650 battery's.

Felipe Anadao Yes, but don't drive it at full gas all the time. Use max acceleration in short time burst and give ESC and motor time to cool down.

I don't recommend 9115 and 9116. I have both. It's only good on first use. It's deteriorating in the long run. I've only played a few times.. It works on its own, even though you haven't stepped on the remote. Some of the plastic parts broke, and the engine gears broke. I'm tired of fixing it. To open the engine gearbox, you have to dismantle the entire car. I would also recommend versions of the 4x4, which is a brushless motor.(xinlehong q903 or smax) And it's battery has too short play time
Did you ever get to fix your 9115? I just started using mine and I can hear a rattling noise. Not sure if it’s from the wheels, gears or Engine. Any thoughts on how I could resolve this?
@@ejiifydike60 Yes. Many many many times... I think it comes from gear box. I have same problem. And the gear box need oil. But I couldn't find Suitable oil...

Ebadz Badilla You have to made it mate or you can buy ordering LIPO battery. But you still have to make connector/plug for ESC to fit new battery.
