    Great idea on the bits of plastic. My son's car had the same problem with the suspension pulling apart at the same location as yours. After watching your video I used a paper hole punch and punched some disks out of an old plastic juice bottle. I used a hot pin to burn a small hole thru each disk for the screw then doubled up my new plastic washers on the screw and reassembled the suspension. Works like a charm. Great idea. Thank you. My son was pretty bummed that his car broke but thanks to you we were able to breath new life into it.

    Had the same issue near the tires. Was using aluminum foil washers! lol. But got some great ideas from your video and comments. I'll try and hole punch some soda cans to make washers! Thanks.

    I made a couple small ice packs out of ziplocks and gel type ice packs. I just rubber band them on top the motor... super cool. just make sure you put a piece of cellophane over the motor so the sweat/ condensation don't short out anything.

    I just used washers to keep the screws in the arms. Why didn't you just put a more powerful motor in it instead of using a heat sink and fan?🤔

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's only rwd and that would be really hard to control. Full throttle starts and any gravel or slippage would cause annoying spins all the time.

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I had purposely lightened it and it was running nice. Rest in pieces.

    The screws popping out are connected to the hubs and the arms, not the suspension.

      Try reversing where it is attached. Make sure your battery is not defective.

    Where did you run the power for the fan off of, my boys has one of these that im upgrading parts are coming, i have a rustler so now he wants better, i have new motor coming, heatsink with fan, extra fan, 7.4 1500mah lipo, step down 12vto 5v for running fans and lights, oil shocks, and 1/10 buggy tires also, also ordered a new reciever/esc board just in case as we fried the motor good running my 8.4 nimh in it lol

    • @kpuptiousrustlerxl-5608
      @kpuptiousrustlerxl-5608 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh and also its getting trx plugs so i can use my ez peak to charge mineand his lipos lol

    • @kpuptiousrustlerxl-5608
      @kpuptiousrustlerxl-5608 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im going to run fans right off the board where the battery runs in that way fans can run while car isnt moving and lights but step down for voltage is necessary for that

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I spliced into the wires running to the motor. That way whenever the car is on the fan will be cooling it.

      Yours is going to run nice with those hop ups. The lightweight wheels will help handling and speed and lipo power and runtime.

    Hi!! Did u ever made the video of it running?

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jacob TV i did make a few on my channel but the lipos kept stripping the gear boxes so i had to let her go...😥

    • @jacobtv1765
      @jacobtv1765 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Rivera too much battery for the gearbox?

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jacob TV i spent around 75-100 on upgrades. Wheels 15 , heatsink/fan 15, connector 5, lipo battery 20, spoiler 12, gearbox 15 each etc

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jacob TV yes definitely. It is really fast and fun though while it lasts. 4wd would help it be more stable and controllable.

    well, even I am upgrading this car I got oil filled shocks and hsp buggy wheels and some new rocker arms and a heat sink for the motor but my question is:
    IF I BUY 3S WILL IT BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT AND NOT GET BURNT EVEN ONE TIME??? guys pls answer me pls :)

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      a fan would really be helpful. even with the fan and heatsink i burned out 2 motors. it can handle 3s with constant monitoring. leave the cover off for "breathing"

    Think a 10th scale brush less motor will mount up in it?

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Brickle no prob not. the size and the way the motor fits will be an issue. i was thinking of doing that myself. this car is also lacking a proper esc to work along with that motor.

      T. Man amazon

    • @1peanut
      @1peanut 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah i was just looking for a cheaper place But, i just watched a video where the guy glues the gearbox solid and makes it positrack and never buy a gearbox again. basically the 4 spider gears and the other gear that goes on there is glued solid and makes positrac instead of limited slip. Thanks. the link to that mod / permanent gearbox fix. th-cam.com/video/5_ajSSIDI_c/w-d-xo.html

    How do I install the fan for the rc truck??

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Roberto Rodriguez splice into the wire running to the motor, red and black.

    • @RobertoRodriguez-yf6ls
      @RobertoRodriguez-yf6ls 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Rivera are you talking about where the battery connects to on the RC

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do that one but its short. Do it from the motor to the receiver box better.

    • @RobertoRodriguez-yf6ls
      @RobertoRodriguez-yf6ls 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is too confusing can you do a video review about it please

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Roberto Rodriguez I don't have time. If you are changing from the crap plug to tamiya or whatever connection take that opportune time to put your fan wires red to red black to black. It's that simple.

  • @fbiagent3399
    @fbiagent3399 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    lol Please tell me you changed the connector....

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rc_ KiNg to tamiya

    • @fbiagent3399
      @fbiagent3399 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Rivera ewwwwwwwwwwwwww those are crap i would use xt60 or deans ... my stock tamiya connector would melt cuz they are crap

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rc_ KiNg the one i got actually fell apart too. One side got loose from the plastic and it would cut off the car sometimes

    • @fbiagent3399
      @fbiagent3399 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Michael Rivera get a pair of deans man they are awesome they never overheat or anything or even better xt60 check em out on banggood... also unsolder the stock wires and put in some good quality silicone 16 gauge wire also same thing with Battery wires.. i did it to mine and everything seems cold after run ... my battery was getting super super hot with stock connector and wires...

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rc_ KiNg ill look into that. Thx

    shocks?

    • @babybluepig
      @babybluepig  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr.Mustache_007 i use the stock suspension. i tried other stiffer shocks but it made it tall and too springy. this absorbs pretty well the way it is.
