I just bought those tires because of your video. They better be good!!! Ha Ha I ride mostly on the street, but occasionally take dirt fire roads for fun. If you are ever riding out here on the west coast let me know!

I put these on my '07 V-strom. Great tires. Great price. They were better than the Trailwings on road and off.

That a great price for a really good looking tire! First three times I did off roading on a dirt bike, I sprained my ankle each time I went. But of course I was really young and aggressive, but good ankle support is a must.

Right on , I run the same tire , I also tried the 805 large lug knobby which is very good in all types of dirt sand or gravel , mud is always a challenge 😊

Great video. Do you mind mentioning the new tube sizes you had to use? I would have never thought the stock 17in tubes wouldn't work. Thanks!

It tips quicker because they are a taller tire than stock. Happens to any bike you put taller tires on.

Hey man thanks for the review! 3 years later you still happy with the 705s in those sizes? Have they been good on dirt over the years? Also what pressure do you recommend running them at for best results? Thanks in advance!

The 70/90/40 number in the size or whatever for example 190/40/17 means the sidewall is 40% of the 190mm cross section.
    It's not 40mm tall. It's 40%.
So a 120/80/17 is about the same height as a 160/50/17, just sayin.

I bought my DRZsm a few weeks ago.
I didn't have a single cylinder in my line up and always wanted one.
So lots of DRZ stuff is popping up. Some of it pretty old.
The aspect ratio on the tire size can confuse people so I had to throw my 2¢ in.

    • @thedisciple2660

Yeah they are heavy but def better off road. The stock tires were basically street tires so they had little to no traction off road. Im def happy w them.

@@timsch15 lol yeah i always hear people say oh you can do some light off road with your sm tires. If by “off road” they mean across a lawn then yeah sure but any kind of dirt trail w loose gravel is terrible w sm tires. I originally thought of just buying a set of rims for off road w proper tires and keeping sm tires on these rims but i know that i would never take the time to swap them lol. Im too lazy and always in a rush! The shinkos are pretty good on the street too!

Brand new tires will always "tip over" faster/easier due to not having a flat spot from being riden straight up.
