Stop hyping arc troopers. The first ones were the good ones but as we saw from swcw, arc troopers could be selected from basic clones. It’s a rank not a sect.
@@Patrick-kb3hj The Clone Wars was not made under Disney. I see more and more people who don't know this, like perhaps they weren't born yet when TCW was on air.
You saw one of them. From the show arc of when the droids got the decryption thing with the small commander. The clone was kidnapped, but he hell the droids escape off the desert world
Basically, they're just like tools. Regular Clones: Hammer Commandos: Screwdriver If you want to put a nail on wood, use a hammer. Not a screwdriver. That's what happened to the commandos on Geonosis. :(
Honestly as much as I love the typical star wars media I'd love a few more shows focused on stuff like the clone commandos. A live action series about them would be awesome
Something I thought of: Clone Commandos train in squads of 4 and work best in squads of for. During the 2-episode Kamino arc, Domino Squad trains in a group of 5, and were standard clones until the Rishee Moon, losing Heavy, Droidbait, and Cutup and Echo and Fives becoming ARCs. How would the 5-man Squad designed for mass deployment be differently effective than the 4-man Commandos. I know they trained differently, but still, it made me think
Its pretty simple actually, Clone commandos had entirely different equipment and weaponry from the regular clones and because their training was far more advanced than a regular clone trooper. But because regular clone troopers were designed to be deployed en masse and it didn't help there was a war going on their training was most likely rushed in order to have more troopers to the front while clone commandos were mostly used for infiltration or espionage behind enemy lines and their numbers were mostly small because of this.
I'd say since the new canon ARCs are no longer the superior trooper. In legends, ARCs were obviously surperior, but in the new Clone Wars it seems that ARCs were simply an honorary title.
It is rather odd that the TCW team went to the trouble of creating Clone Commando models and then barely ever used them. You'd expect a few background appearances (maybe on Ringo Varr?) or including some in a Jedi squad even if they never had a major role in an episode. It just seems so weird to acknowledge their existence and then never include them. Though I get the sense that the Bad Batch arc is effectively a Clone Commandos arc. Better late than never, I guess...
By the way, clone commanders would be useful for the D squad's mission, but that would mean the CIS winning the clone wars with the destruction on Valour Station
Saying Clone Commandos would get slaughtered in a "full scale battle" is like saying Navy Seals or Spetsnatz are both useless in a large engagements. They are still highly trained soldiers, and likely received regular clone training/deployment before becoming a Commando. Even Fives spent time as a regular clone before becoming an Arch Trooper.
I think on umbara they could have sent in commandos to the enemy base to blow it up to support Obi-Wan Kenobi bc 2 arc troopers managed to do it so a team of clone commandos would have easily been able to do it
-Prison break at the citadel, they probably would've never been caught. -Assassinating Dooku, instead of sending Quinlan Vos and having him fall to the dark side. (And as much as we don't like it, assassinate Fives and Ahsoka.)
I like your ideas, but it wouldn't have made sense for them to assassinate Ahsoka, because the clones were under strict orders to capture, not kill her, so that she could be put on trial for the crimes they thought she committed. Once she was put on trial she faced a potential death sentence, but before that point her assassination would've been unsactioned.
I saw that thumbnail and now I just want a rainbow six style Star wars game I don't care if in the style the Vegas series or siege just a rainbow six Star wars style game
I honestly think that clones would of been more effective if they had different jobs such as being a riflemen, machine gunner, mortarmen ect because it would be combined arms and they would be able to support each other a lot more in that case they would have much less casualties and they would be more combat effective if they were organized
They did. Just gor gameplay reasons they made the gun able to change. If I remember correctly Sev was the sniper, scorch was demolitions, fixer was tech/rifleman, and Boss was team leader/rifleman.
Well... at that point of war when D squad was sent, propably there were none free Commando unit, so they sent what they could - best astrodroids possible... If only they would not waste all of that Commando forces at Geonosis...
What I wanna know is why were the battledroids silver with glowing white eyes in the commandos videogame? Is there a reason in the lore or was it just an art choice? I love the look of the battledroids, its kinda spooky, but I wanna know why they're designed like that.
I would like to know more about D squad. I somehow missed those episodes. Could you do a show on Republic droids who did operations? Maybe exclude R2 and C3PO but do one on D Square and any other droids that faught or did missions for the "good guys". It would be interesting to sort of compair the minimal use of droids for the republic compaired to the over use by the CIS.

4) the lorebreaking BS (though i was told that that is mostly in the first few seasons. i just cant get myself to watch past ~S3. its to infuriating.) e.g. the hyperspace jump OUT OF A PLANETS UPPER ATMOSPHERE!
As an RC, I'd love for that to happen, but instead we get "The Bad Batch." WTF?! Given the Kaminoan's Hitleresque quality control standards, they'd never have gotten past the fetal stage of development.
(BTW I don't aknowledge Disney canon)

Stop hyping arc troopers. The first ones were the good ones but as we saw from swcw, arc troopers could be selected from basic clones. It’s a rank not a sect.
They’re actually both, arc troopers were bread but some can be promoted to them

@@Patrick-kb3hj The Clone Wars was not made under Disney. I see more and more people who don't know this, like perhaps they weren't born yet when TCW was on air.
Disney did not make clone wars and stop getting mad
A clone wars-like animated TV show about Delta Squad would be great
You saw one of them. From the show arc of when the droids got the decryption thing with the small commander. The clone was kidnapped, but he hell the droids escape off the desert world
Basically, they're just like tools.
Regular Clones: Hammer
Commandos: Screwdriver
If you want to put a nail on wood, use a hammer. Not a screwdriver. That's what happened to the commandos on Geonosis. :(
Blacksherman20 But they did screw up the geodes pretty bad!
That battlefront 1 sounds is so nostalgic. Takes me back
I think the mission to find Jabba's son on Teth would've been a good one. The actual temple infiltration, I mean, not the massive battle outside.
In TCW novelization, Rex actually says as much to Cody.
Because
Math
Its pretty simple actually,
Clone commandos had entirely different equipment and weaponry from the regular clones and because their training was far more advanced than a regular clone trooper.
But because regular clone troopers were designed to be deployed en masse and it didn't help there was a war going on their training was most likely rushed in order to have more troopers to the front while clone commandos were mostly used for infiltration or espionage behind enemy lines and their numbers were mostly small because of this.
They could have been the ones on the citadel imagine how more epic that would of been compared to the original
“Second only to ARC troopers” ..... okay, no but ok
I'd say since the new canon ARCs are no longer the superior trooper. In legends, ARCs were obviously surperior, but in the new Clone Wars it seems that ARCs were simply an honorary title.
@@SirPage13 that's because there are multiple ARC variants, Alpha ARCs and Null ARCs, both of which are superior, and normal ARCs, which we see in TCW
@Whakapapa normal arcs are the animated series
@Whakapapa i meant the 2008 one

KOTEEEEEEEE
Hold Up! That intro gave me chills and some good memories. Love it Geetsly's :)
Geetsly's: shows images of Delta 07
Me: Please don't remind me of the pain, I just witnessed him die please no
After he went MIA they should've made a game about him resurfacing
I like the R6 Seige thumbnail lol
Yes
The Republic: They are in a way our stealth trooper unit. They are very professional.
The Commandos: HE DOES NOT SEE ME, I AM THE SNEAKY MAN
By the way, clone commanders would be useful for the D squad's mission, but that would mean the CIS winning the clone wars with the destruction on Valour Station
That's very true.
Saw the thumbnail and loved seeing my two favorite things combined in one
Bro your intro gives me Extreme nostalgia
Ahh I love the thumbnail! It fits so well knowing it’s a 5-man team
The mission in geonosis where they need to rescue jedi master luminara and the mission to save jedi master even piell
Replace the bad batch with commandos, or the ark where ashoka gets captured by trandosians, replace the bounty hunters that save her with commandos
Definitely would have been so much better
@@jangofett9485 see even the one and only Jango Fett agrees
They are seen as Gregor in the void, and they are seen escorting the bodies of the two Jedi savage kills.
"Just like the simulator"
-Fixer
homie really got it out for D squad lmao
7:02 - I just thought of a great meme.
The Kaminoans and the British in the 17-1800s would get along perfectly.
Are commandos actually second to arc troopers? I always thought it was the other way around
I saw that thumbnail and now I just want a rainbow six style Star wars game I don't care if in the style the Vegas series or siege just a rainbow six Star wars style game

@@Supersonicspyro Yeah, but they're not really standard commando's. They look different, use different gear and different tactics.

I'm literally only here to say how cool I think that thumbnail image is. 😁👍
4 men charging against a horde of battle droids is suicide
Bad batch: am I a joke to you?
I honestly think that clones would of been more effective if they had different jobs such as being a riflemen, machine gunner, mortarmen ect because it would be combined arms and they would be able to support each other a lot more in that case they would have much less casualties and they would be more combat effective if they were organized
They did. Just gor gameplay reasons they made the gun able to change. If I remember correctly Sev was the sniper, scorch was demolitions, fixer was tech/rifleman, and Boss was team leader/rifleman.
Love the Siege/Star Wars thumbnail

Well... at that point of war when D squad was sent, propably there were none free Commando unit, so they sent what they could - best astrodroids possible...
2:08 can someone leak me the original image? This is wallpaper material like noother
9:48 Fun Fact: It was actually Chairman Papanoida that came up with the idea for D Squad.

If they had sent them to the Citidel things might have gone smoother.
Clone Commandos sound so wicked. Wish I could have seen them in action.
I'll be saying it for the rest of my life. But, I need another clone commando game.
same.....or a movie....or a show.....
they literally couldve made an episode with the commandos in the geonosis arc
@4:17. Uhh Sarge, the field manual is kinda hazy in the section covering 4 man assaults on heavily defended artillery positions!
I would love to see some CC action...just them meeting other heroes
I would like to know more about D squad. I somehow missed those episodes. Could you do a show on Republic droids who did operations? Maybe exclude R2 and C3PO but do one on D Square and any other droids that faught or did missions for the "good guys". It would be interesting to sort of compair the minimal use of droids for the republic compaired to the over use by the CIS.
Me:clone commandos are op and invincible dats why

There's a qoute that i heard once and i don't remember where it comes from but it applies to comparing these 2, "legends aren't born, they're made" All ARC's proved that they were the best soldiers and they were given special training, Commandos were born with a DC-17m in their hands practically. Theu don't know anything other than stealth, and special operations, they don't know the basic fundamentals and large scale war, where as ARC's are literally equipped for everything, but specialize at being warzone tacticians.
