I used 2 effervescent anti-bacterial tablets in my Mr. Coffee, and it worked very well! No residue after the 1st run, but I did run the 2nd rinse. The whole house doesn't smell like hot vinegar either. Thanks!

I tried this and it created a huge mess. Don’t do this. The tablets don’t dissolve well and will leave residue.
