I was wondering if you might be interested in doing a makeup tutorial in the future? I love to see how others do their makeup and what products they recommend. I'm also wondering what foundation you might recommend as well
@@FrequentDreamer Hello Haley, that’s something I definitely think about doing often and yes, I would love to make a makeup tutorial in the future. As far for foundation I like the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation and that’s the one I’m currently using it has amazing coverage and it stays on all day.
@@TheFixTech No, mine I can remove it really easy but if you are trying to remove the grinder wheel make sure you vacuum and remove all the extra beans because that’s what makes it hard to remove.
Hello Rose,Hopefully this reaches you ! Thank you so much for showing this step by step guidance for completing the cleaning / descaling.for this particular Expresso machine, Just brilliant one of the best on the tube Thanks again ☕👍
I’m not a manual reader so when it came to clean my machine I was scratching my head. I’m a visual learner! It was so easy to follow along with you! Thank you soooo much for this video! Next time it won’t take me an hour to try and figure this out!
Thank you. Before watching your video, I was only doing a clean and not descaling. Your instructions are much better than the breville instruction manual.
Same, I only used clean and after 2 years old with 4 cleans I just performed a 4x clean cycles and the light remains so probably need to descale. My hot tip to preserve the life of the machine anyway is to just use filtered water in the machine in the first place rather than tap water...
Great video for this machine. Save some money, make your own descaler 1:1 ratio of white vinegar to water. (1000cc vinegar to 1000cc water in the tank) .For now, I use the tablets for cleaning . They are made of "soap and bleach" Sodium carbonate and sodium percarbonate with phosphates and laurel sulfate. There is probably a good homemade solution that could be made up but haven't discovered that yet.
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Deciding on buying the breville barista express -- and your videos are what convinced me to do it! You have by far the best videos, very well put together. Thank you so much Rose Baby. Ten stars for your efforts. Breville should pay you a royalty!!!
You're an absolute life saver! There are instructions on the back of my machine but it didn't say to turn the machine off again before pressing the cups. I was so confused!! Thank you so so so much
You are fantastic Rose thankyou so much. You just made my life so much easier listening to you and watching you do all these steps professional straight to the point .
I’ve had a fear of this cleaning process so have been putting it back for months. This video was so helpful and you explained everything so well. It made the clean very easy. Thanks so much
Thank you for this video and the links! I purchased my machine used and love it so much. However, it didn't come with any of the cleaning supplies. I used your links to make sure I purchased the correct items. Thank you thank you.
Hi Rose, I am wondering, I cant enter to descaling mode , even I tried to press and hold 2cups and power button. We have the same model of machine. What do you think is the problem? I can successfully enter the cleaning mode (1cup, 2cup ,power button).
Thanks for this awesome video I just cleaned it and my espresso actually does preform and taste alot better I didn't even know that half the stuff was for cleaning lol 😀 but thanks for such a helpful video !!
Maybe there’s a bean stuck in there. Make sure to run the grinder to try to get everything out, and then use a vacuum to suck everything out of there. It’s normal if you haven’t done this in a while to use some force to get it to turn. One time I needed my husband to twist it and unlock it for me because it was hard, just be careful not to break it. If that doesn’t work maybe try to contact the store where you bought it from, sometimes they offer to help, or you can talk with the Breville company.
Thanks you for this, very helpful! Also - my mind has been blown re: that little storage compartment…. Never knew what it was for! And I’ve had my machine for 5 years 😅
Thanks for the video. I had a question about the cleaning cycle (not descaling cycle). Do you have to remove the water filter during the cleaning cycle???
My rubber insert that came with my machine has a small round hole in the center and water goes out through the coffee spouts not the pipe on the bottom like in your video. Do I need a different insert? Or could something be plugged up in that pipe? Thanks.
Your espresso machine needs to be descaled every 2 -6 months depending on the hardness of your water. A good test is to leave a clear glass with about a quarter of a cup of water out to evaporate. If there is white stuff on the bottom of the glass after evaporating, you have hard water and will need to descale every 2 months or so. If not, you can push it to six months.
Hi , your explanation is enough clear, but my breville is BES860, I don’t have a tablets anymore, idk even where I can’t find them. Can you or someone here can help me. Thank you so much ❤️
My machine hasn’t illuminated descale light yet. It’s been 4 months and we use 2 coffees a day. We have whole home water filter which is good to provide clean water to machine as entire home. Could that be the reason or I should descale regardless or wait for the machine indication?
I have mine for about 3 years with minimal but have only begun using it more often the last 6 months….cleaning light flashing so I ran the cleaning cycle 5 times and still have some water a a bit of the tablet residue in the portafilter ….you indicated that the cleaning cycle can be run for 3 times therefore I decided to stop any further cleaning cycles ….the flashing light has stopped so that’s a good thing but do you have comments as to how many times the cleaning cycle can be run without damaging the unit
I noticed u only run the one cup to clean but I usually use the two cup setting. Does the one cup process clean both one cup and two cup settings or do u have to repeat same process for the two cup? I assume not since you didn’t mention but just wanted to be sure. Thanks and great video
Can we use vinegar to descale the machine? Mine stopped doing the steam and hot water and decided to use vinegar and fixed the issues. Do you recommend to use it or not and why? Thanks for the video.
I haven’t used my coffee machine. When i got it. Probably used it a month I didn’t get a nice espresso because i didnt know how to. But i wanna use it again and try it . Should i still do the deep cleaning? Even if the light for cleaning doesn’t appear? Or Should i just rinse it and put a new filter water ?
the real secret to great espresso is the pressure. keep playing with the grind and the pack of the coffee until the pressure gets to the green section. before that pressure, it's likely to be weak and bitter. you shouldn't have to clean or anything until the light comes on or is blinking. we use filtered water so we don't even worry about the water filter in the machine. good luck and enjoy.
@RoseBaby Awesome video.. I am a visual learner. Does anyone else put there Filter Basket behind the drip tray?? I thought that was a wicked idea, is that what its for hahaha
Hi, how can I create a Froth in milk when using the jug and steamer on my Sage barista . Ive tried but though the milk heats up, there is no froth. Thank you Jay
Press the power and the double cups buttons to go in the descale mode .... check! Press the power and both the single and double cups buttons to go in the cleaning mode .... check! Who the h*ll would remember these things after three months? Thanks! BTW, I used a deluded vinegar and water solution to descale my barista express instead of the expensive solution .... since I have to descale the machine so often .... it works great but I have to run an extra cycle of water to get rid of the slight smell of vinegar each time ....
Just a guess, as I’m unfamiliar with your model, it could be that the machine is able to recognize scale build up by measuring water flow at some point inside. Or.. the machine may need to be manually told that the process is completed with a combination of buttons. Or broken.. 😢 just a guess, good luck!
Always going back to this video every time I need to clean or descale my machine. Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for the video. I followed perfectly, my only problem was removing the grinder mill. I simply couldn’t. Do you any advice?

Thanks for the video. I had a question about the cleaning cycle (not descaling cycle). Do you have to remove the water filter during the cleaning cycle???
No, you don’t have to remove it for the cleaning cycle, but for the descaling cycle you must remove it.
Hi rose which “one cup filter basket” the dual wall or single wall? The manual doesn’t say.
Great video thank you! Do you need a water filter if you use bottled water ?

How do I know when I need to do a DISCALING(not a cleaning) on this machine ?
Your espresso machine needs to be descaled every 2 -6 months depending on the hardness of your water. A good test is to leave a clear glass with about a quarter of a cup of water out to evaporate. If there is white stuff on the bottom of the glass after evaporating, you have hard water and will need to descale every 2 months or so. If not, you can push it to six months.
My coffees are other world everytime I clean mine. I also replace the silicone steam ring which makes you clean all that part of the machine.
This video is great

Hi, my machine isn't running. Can you please tell me how to fix it?
When I did this water came out of the regular place where the coffee comes out. And a small amount in the drip tray. Why would that happen?
Use the pressurized cup

The solution only 25$ for 2 bottle’s. Not really expensive
Vinegar can also ruin the o rings inside your machine, I repair these machines in my free time and the amount of dissolved o rings is unreal.
I don't have the cleaning disk. Can I still use the tablets without this?
instead of 3 times i flushed my machine 10 times
My new breville has the filter size blinking all the time
Why is that?
No water came out of the machine when I did the cleaning process! Any support is most appreciated!
Do I need to descale if I use bottled water all the time ?
Yes. Bottled water has added minerals like Magnesium that can build up around the heating element.
when I press the 2 cup button and the power button, the machine turns on immediately, what's wrong? anyone?
I'm having the same issue
Salu je besoin cete masine
Why after cleaning and descaling my light is still on?
Just a guess, as I’m unfamiliar with your model, it could be that the machine is able to recognize scale build up by measuring water flow at some point inside. Or.. the machine may need to be manually told that the process is completed with a combination of buttons. Or broken.. 😢 just a guess, good luck!
