    I suggest start by telling us to remove the filters first. I followed all the instructions as stated, but didn't remove the filters, only to realize after the fact that she had them sitting next to the coffeemaker.

      She does fail step #1: remove charcoal filter before adding vinegar. (charcoal absorbed the vinegar yuk!)

      Same thing happened to me but I pulled the charcoal filter out as soon as I started cleaning, while I was watching the rest of the video. Also, if she is pouring vinegar in the carafe to measure, it’s not 4 ounces! More like 20 ounces or four CUPS! Other than that, good video!

      You can get the barista part on Amazon. I got a few [6] of them so I don't have to wash them every single day. I just throw them in the dishwasher and do them when i've used up all 6 of mine. I prefer mixing my own coffee blends and the K-cups are getting so pricey.

    Please do include the measurement amounts of the water and vinegar, and don't simply tell people to go find them in their manual (as in 3:18). For most of us, the whole reason we are looking up a video is that we cannot put hands on our manual.

    So, the instruction booklet says 1/3 portion of vinegar to 2/3 of water, so that would be 4 CUPS of vinegar to 8 cups of water for a 12 cup pot. She says 4 OUNCES and its obvious she's pouring more than half a cup of vinegar.

IF YOUR CLEAN BUTTON DOES NOT START THE PROCESS, PRESS THE BREW BUTTON DOWN FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AND THEN THE CLEAN BUTTON. THIS SHOULD START THE CLEANING CYCLE. THE MACHINE WILL THEN TURN IRSELF TO 'ON' TO GET STARTED.

    On the single serving side there is a clear rubber "stopper" that partially covers the bottom needle piercer. Does that have to be removed????? In the reviews folks constantly say that side splashed all over the place until you remove the little plastic "shroud" that fits over the needle...IS THIS TRUE? I can't find a reference anywhere but sure enough, I looked and it IS ther on the bottom needle that pierces the "K-CUP". Please advise, Thank-you in advance.

    So much useful information!!! I have a different model, but this helped me because, while I was pushing the clean button, I was not HOLDING IT DOWN. That made the difference! Also - charcoal filter??? I had no idea that was in there! I have been using that for YEARS, unchanged. I will get new ones today and change them regularly.
    Question for anyone who can answer: What is the difference between having it go through the CLEAN cycle and the BREW cycle? Does the water go to different places during each cycle?

    • @balajimurthy8135
      @balajimurthy8135 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When the red light goes on during normal use, is it an indication that the unit needs cleaning or is it on a timer that goes on regardless of use? I use the left side of the coffee maker perhaps twice a month, and the single serve side every day for about four cups of coffee. Do both sides need to be cleaned to turn the red light off? What does it indicate when I've cleaned the left side and the red light doesn't go iff?

    • @tomatexelon
      @tomatexelon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s just a timer, it has no idea of if it’s clean or dirty. I use R.O. Only and the light still comes on. I just reset it and move on. If your using sink water then you should clean it, The red light is just a friendly reminder so you don’t forget and ruin your machine.

    Should my single cup reservoir be completely empty when the "Add Water" light comes on? Mines does not do this. The light comes on whenever the water level falls below the "Min Fill" line.

    I know that if you are using Tap water descaling is a must, but if you want to save time and not do this cleaning! Use Distilled water every time, we never have to clean except for the K cup side. I take that side apart and clean all the parts. put it all back together, and put the distilled water and have a great cup of coffee. Also I never change the filters, because only clean distilled water is used.

      @@lissethernandez50 Look I said Distilled water, this doesn't have any minerals in it that causes scaling. Distilled water doesn't have any and no filter is needed. I just bought my wife a $3500. Espresso machine and it uses distilled also.

      Distilled water has no minerals it that cause scaling. Purified water also has Minerals in it. This is the third time I have told you to use Distilled. Forget the time wasting video, and the cleaning. I wash the water tank every month with baking soda. Wash it out several times and throw away the filter fill the tank, and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

    She used the coffee pot as her measuring cup. The vinegar amount she said is 4 Oz. The coffee pot's 4 mark is not 4 oz but 4 cups. So I assumed I best put in more vinegar if I am using my measuring cup. My pot is stainless steel, not clear glass. I agree about not instructing us to remove the filters first. So U am soaking my filter in cold water to get the vinegar ot of it.
