The only essential macronutrients are protein and fat. Keto is not the removal of all carbohydrates. It's the removal of high carbohydrates and starches.

This is what happens when you don't fully understand the science behind something. Flawed information.
You do not need carbohydrate for energy, this is literally the entire point and definition of ketosis. If you're referring to glucose (which is needed by the body), this is achieved through a process called gluconeogenesis in which protein is synthesised into glucose. Even ketones can be metabolised into glucose as a substitute.
Also the fibre argument is just as old and flawed as the ridiculous food pyramid we were told was the correct way to eat. Fibre just makes your stool bigger and has zero nutritional value. The only thing you're doing is making your bowels work harder than they need to. You know what happens when you digest a fresh piece of meat? Your body absorbs 99% of it, that's why you poop every 4-5 days on keto. Your body is literally absorbing everything because it's nutrient dense food.

Thank you! I was about to say the same thing.

Another main argument for fibre , is even though you don't absorb it , your gut microbe does and it serves as good prebiotic. Anyway agree with your basic point on keto .Besides keto doesn't restrict fibre consumption

On keto way of eating you get all the carbohydrates you need and fibre for that matter from the massively increased amount of vegetables you consume. I’m talking about clean keto not dirty keto.

«You’re body needs carbohydrate for energy». Not exactly to. Refined carbohydrate i.e. is foreign to oue body. Our body does not need it. Its important to distingues between carbohydrates in brokkoli and in oat i.e. The its completely differint in binding. We dont need carbohydrates for energy. When you have become fat-adapted, the body will fuel on fat instead and use proteins for glukoneogenesis

Quite interesting actually, i just watched 3-4 of their videos on skin conditions and totally bought into their gut theory
After seeing this video, all credit is lost.
Its quite clear they're just pushing their gut products which they sell... of course they wont promote keto, its free and has helped many people. i did enjoy the cancer warning from keto tho, nice touch.
      quite cringe

@@fi7-t6p0SNAPPL.E "... it can be an outstanding dietary protocol for someone who's got a condition".
I don't think it's correct to target them like this. There are many people out there who are not going Berg-style, i.e. 2 cups of fibrous greens, low net-carb veg. The body does prefer to use glucose, but of course it can use fat deposits. I liked keto. Felt good, but I found the limitations too hard, especially finding on the go options (work with clients in multiple settings in the community all day).

I really thought I came across a really good and informative TH-cam channel until I watched this one. Pushing your own agenda instead of telling the truth just to sell your stuff. Shame on both of you for trying to your wallets first instead of people's health.
