After no more pain in abdomen, what's best to eat...like or high fibre? I get some bloating , but depends on what I eat, so doing broths, plant milk, brown rice cakes and plain brown rice, and meats. Fruits and steamed veggies only. Probiotics and digestive enzymes.

I’ve had three flareups just since Thanksgiving, which is very unusual for me. It usually like once every six months or so. but I noticed the intake of sugar over the holidays and even just a little bit of sugar now I don’t know what the deal is with that, but I actually started with the diagnosis and had the worst after I was on a raw food diet don’t ever do that. It’s bad.

DV is the WORST pain I have ever experienced. I have suffered with this disease for 20 years or more now. While the 'cause' of diverticulosis might be diet and life-style related, I can tell you without shadow of doubt that the diverticulitis is always triggered by stress. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Who tells their patients to have porridge first thing in the morning?.Carbohydrates?... that's the worst thing any of us can have first thing in the morning. That's why we're all fat and sick...Oatmeal pancakes waffles in the morning makes for a sugar crash 2 hours later... Then what are we doing?... we're stuffing our face again With more carbs and sugar and the cycle, continues. Instead Eat protein like eggs and bacon or some type of meat in the morning. Stick with mostly carnivore , which is natural animal products instead of Margarine use real butter!... instead of velveta ...use real cheddar!... Instead of seed oil , they like to stuff in everything we eat ... cook with natural animal fats that we are supposed to eat! our bodies know how to break those things down... We've ate that way for hundreds of thousands of years. Our body doesn't recognize Cotton seed oil Vegetable oil Red dye 40. Hopefully things change here in America really soon and they take a lot of the crap out of our food that never should have been there in the first place!!!

cut the fiber to 0 (ZERO) AND increase the liquid intake (water, soup, milk etc - 3 liters per 24 hours minimum for mid-size adults). walk 5 000 - 10 000 steps a day. probiotics, glutamine, collagen, good sleep, infrared sauna, no artificial sweetners, no smoking, add magnesium supplement, use squat toilet, acetaminophen for pain = all helps healing by reducing the strain to your colon. Fiber Menace - book by Konstantin Monastyrsky. what they call "healthy food" is causing your problems. you are welcome!

Just relistening, and thinking about the comment about where you typically find psoriasis plaques... do any of you psoriasis sufferers here notice that your plaques have moved over time? When I was a child I used to have it more on my knees and upper shins, whereas these days it's down to my ankles and much worse on my feet. Just wondering... maybe one day it'll disappear into the earth! 🤞🤞

I'm 48 and have had psoriasis since I was 3 (so diagnosed in 1979) and PsA since my early 20s. It's amazing to me that only now people are starting to talk about the link with gut health. When I was a child they always described it as being linked with a weak liver function! I stopped taking all the medication and listening to doctors years ago, even though when I was breastfeeding and it became really bad they kept pressuring me to take immune suppressants or try UV therapy...none of it works. But as a long term vegetarian who only has alcohol a couple of times a year, I become a bit disheartened when people say they gave up fizzy drinks and were miraculously cured! I find the sun helps me, and definitely sugar is to be avoided, but I haven't found my magic bullet yet. I gave up wheat and gluten for a few months (which is really hard as a vegetarian living in Italy!) but it didn't really help enough to be worth the hassle. I think my next push will be to try fasting, as it does seem to help.

I got out onto ppis after I went to the doctor with acid reflux, pretty certain this has caused me all sorts of issues from gastritis to potentially diverticulitis, I have a burning sensation on my lower left flank, not sure what it is exactly, maybe IBS type pain, comes and goes which makes me think it isn’t diverticulitis

How do you know if bowl is perforated? I have been diagnosed with this condition. I have mentioned to my doctor previously i have fluid from my belly button during a flare up. The doctor does not believe that this symptom is connected. I feel the doctor could be wrong. As this is generally what happens when i have infection due to the diverticulitis.

News flash, I was prescribed aspirin for potential heart issues and started having flares ups of diverticulitis, 3 ER trips within 2 months to be exact. It wasn't until my third visit that my instructions to go home with advise me to discontinue aspirin and any NSAIDS if possible. I did stop the aspirin right away and haven't had a flare since doing so. The kicker was in telling my PCP and she said she's never heard that before but since that time she's now questioning medications I'm taking for arthritis after I asked to get off all my meds. The main med that also mentioned diverticulitis as a possible side effect is prescribed to everyone with thyroid conditions and that's Levothyroxine which I've taken for over 30 years and is only now causing me vibration like tremors as well which now require a whole new med, such a mess of troubles with meds! But look into yours is all I can add here.
