Market St. is permanently under construction. The pandemic forced up prices that were already high. The sketchy people outnumber the regular shoppers and tourists. Who wants to worry about crime when you're trying to enjoy your day???

when the Chinese “leader” visited and the streets were cleaned for him, that’s the only thing you need to know. none of these people that hold power care AT ALL for our communities.

The REAL problem is there is a glut of food venues.of every type and they are all priced toward the upper-end. If I have dinner at a restaurant the night before , I may not want to spend more money for lunch the follwing day. People in Taiwan and other places where there is a thriving street food market are getting great value for money. Protein Plate at SAAJ is $18 before tax and tip . Could that be the problem?
A McDonald's combo meal is $16.

Stop demonizing people working from home. Obligating people to schlep downtown just to pay $22 for a mediocre lunch is not the solution. Literally clean up the streets, control outrageous lease prices, make driving/parking easy and cheap, eliminate the criminal element, car break-ins, etc. and incentivize good, mom-and-pop restaurants/businesses that don't price gouge.

Streamlining in SF means cutting the time down from 10 years to 5-8 years.

She's totally inept. Ok, let's go down that road in converting office space into housing (aka let's copy New York). Fine, where are people going to get their groceries? I don't know about most people but I usually have multiple bags coming out of the supermarket, how about people expected to get their from the grocery store to their business to converted apartment? What are you going to do about increased traffic after commute hours seeing that people will be on the road more often and you still have Market St. closed. How do you expect people living in downtown when you only make occasional sweeps and it's still filled with people drugged out?
Vote this woman out! She's ignored these problems people have been calling out since she came in office until the sweet green money of tech companies stopped flowing in.
