A short summary for people in a hurry. However, I will strongly suggest watching the video in its entirety to actually understand his reasoning behind the points. 1. Do not come only for practical aspects of education or the quality of education. 2. It’s gonna be hard. Your peers will be incredibly competent and hard working. Be ready for a lot of work pressure. 3. Once you’re in the USA, you’ll be stuck in a job. It’s not easy to build a startup/ business in the USA. Also, your job will not change very much or get magically sorted out. 4. You should be able to handle the high levels of stress/ pressure/ loneliness. Master’s degrees can be very stressful. 5. Remember that it is possible to accrue heavy loans for completing your Masters. Reconsider if you will have to take heavy loans and have no alternate/ contingent ways of paying the loans back.

You are just making them aware, good work. This also help others who want to come to make their dreams true how they need to be...it require lot of courage to say so.
This is fantastic advice. In the final analysis: there are two types of people - those who thrive in US conditions, and those who don't. Do a deep soul search and figure out which category you belong to. Whatever you do, don't go to US because "everyone else is going" That would be the worst decision of your life, if you happen to be in the second category.

Thank you for the video. I should rethink as well. Is this the same for PhD as well? I'm also a start-up person. But all the start-up ideas coming to my head are not relevant to my major. I want to learn more in depth in my major and want to use them in whatever I do in future. So I'm stuck between these two options. Sigh! All points diminish with fact that average salary of engineer in rupees is 8-10lakh(avg without adding taxes), whereas in us it's i guess it is atleast 100k( without tax, somewhere near 70lakh). And no u need visa to get job in us, for which i guess ms is safest option. So basically we will earn 10 times more, than what we get in India for same job irrespective of interest,.ain't this right?

As some one who did electrical engineering in US. I think you are wrong about the study and practical experience part. In Indian University (I went to Punjab Engineering College a central government engineering school) the electrical engineering is not taught well at all and lack any practical exposure. Most of the E&Ec folks in India are just trying to and studying software engineering . I think in U.S electrical engineering coursework is really great. I agree with everything else. Additionally I wanted to be a researcher and most research Is done in U.S and recently in china. Plus getting into IISC is very tough . If you aim to be a researcher and are getting a PhD definitely come here. Personally, I did find masters much easier than my bachelors may be because I kind of very interested in it.
Thank you for showing reality...... No one has ever talked about these reasons and honestly this talk was mandatory... The final point of debt was so real .... It actually meant that it will take away freedom from one if anyone is confused about his future compelling him to get a job and payoff the loan ..... You really showed right direction...❤️
Trust me or not , but whatever u said are the same topics I discussed with my friend. Many people around me think am over thinking but it's the harsh reality that people don't see. I am happy am staying back n figuring out for myself. All the recent videos helped me in many ways . So, Thank you so much for such honest videos.
You forgot to mention one more thing; Some Indians think studying in US is a sure shot way of getting a high paying job in top companies in India. If that's someone's goal, I'd say take a gap, give all your best in GATE and get into NIT or IIIT at least. Get 7.5+ CGPA and after 2-3 years of placement you'll be making (more than) good money.
I should have seen this video before coming to the US...all the check boxes are ticked in my case for not coming here..i have finished my 1st sem here..i dont wish to pursue any further. This is totally different than what I had expected..now what should I do?
Make friends, visit dog parks, be more in nature, visit vegan cafes, drink green smoothies, visit organic farms, go yoga studios(most of the healers like to go there). Enjoy what US has to offer until you complete your degree. I hope you find peace there.
I liked the reasons and your perspective But what I feel is that master's is a professional degree and before going for it you should be prepared to handle the stress and know how hard is to handle that. But anyhow master's in its own is self explanatory. So the reasons are very apt and definitely one should look out for his career goals then take a big decision like this
Great videos bro, keep up the great work! I respect your honesty and critical thinking - you chose to make difficult decisions and told us about them. Kudos! God bless PS: 15mins is the perfect length of videos

thank you for this. You have told the truth and I am soooo grateful. Let me save my money and work in my own country a while before considering getting an MS

the people who study 8-10 hours is something else
but I think you could do it , if u don't work part time job
Hey Yash,
Thanks for those points made by you.....we aspirants need such facts so as to make efficient decisions before coming to the US....Keep posting, dude.
Really an objective video
Great video and right time🔥.
Thank you very much for the great information
Great points! Solved many of my doubts!👍. This made me think more in a realistic way!
3rd point really hit me hard. Great video brother.🙌
I felt all of these five reasons were true just over a period of a two month internship in the US. It is fucking hard and a pain in the ass. Worth it in the end if you succeed. If you don't it shatters your confidence completely. Thanks a lot for this reassuring video!
could feel your pain bro!
This man is speaking facts. All the haters on the comments are American kiss asses
I really love the way you have displayed how the world just turns when you blindly take any masters degree in the United States. I have really started thinking about these things and became more picky in choosing my career paths. I donno where you are right now, just want to give a big hug. Thank You Yash.
Very candid and honest opinion
seems genuine review thq yash🤝
Yeah we get it “It is hard” ….everything is hard mannn
We just have to suck up and work hard.
Being an UG from bits pilani... I planned to move US for Masters... Thanks for these valuable suggestions... And it's literally worth listening your advices. It's better to attend placement cell and make money other than going to a country which is "OVERHYPED".
But if your luck hits the right way and you land a job there, you might earn way more you know
@@sohamroy7668 can u explain from basics of MS? How to apply and which exams should we opt for it..?
@@peace8461 I won't be the best candidate to answer that buddy, since I never went for MS myself. But plan to, in the future
Why would anyone from BITS go for a masters
Dude, this video was the EYE OPENER and BEST video on getting education from foreign . Thanks a lot . Very helpful . May God bless you and your family . 😊
bhaiiiii trivdeiii ke sathhh yashh mitra bhi bachegaaaa....thanxxx for every video...your guidance is lit
I wish, i have watched this video before coming to USA but the update is , I am coming back in between the semester, due to 4th reason.
How are you gonna complete your masters then ?
Thank you for the video. I should rethink as well. Is this the same for PhD as well? I'm also a start-up person. But all the start-up ideas coming to my head are not relevant to my major. I want to learn more in depth in my major and want to use them in whatever I do in future. So I'm stuck between these two options. Sigh! Everyone saying to follow your passion but here I am not knowing what's my passion. Any way thanks for your honest opinions.!
princess Cordelia keep doing your best. You get there before know it
Yeah.... Thank you!
Kinda sailing in the same boat, did u find ur passion?
You my friend, have talked about things that no one discusses. I wish you the best
to be honest, I JUST SEE ALL NEGATIVITY IN THE VIDEO BRO, i mean seriously you are scaring the hell out of us, i think you better be open minded and go with the flow. You could have presented it well , but its your choice at the end of the day
For the ones reprimanding him for last 4 points, you are just frustrated as he broke bubble of delusion.
Thank you for these very interesting councils
Thank you for this video. I found the reasons mentioned very helpful and convincing to take decisions in my future. Thanks a lot 🙏
Thank you for the knowledge. Helps a lot people
Thank you so much brother 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Really this is an eye open video for me and many others like me 🙏🏻
Even this "do not" video inspiring me. Thanks
@@neyyattinkaragopan3042 i mean if u say so,. Then there is no guarantee anywhere for that matter😅ryt?
@@neyyattinkaragopan3042 if you think of it and are really interested, it's definitely worth it.Also always checkout for government colleges in us, with special scholarships.
@@neyyattinkaragopan3042 i am not suitable to answer that,. As myself i am trying to go for ms after 2 yr exp. I can say it depends on family situation mostly and ur interests.
@@sarabeshn.r6830 will it be easy to find job if i have a two year experience as a software developer
Wow, this is surprising, I have no idea about this.
What about racism in USA. I heard from my friends that there is a lot of racism. Is it true. And do they did it on purpose. Please reply.
Yes only in some parts. Like less populated states has more racism
@@hangman579 what about georgia and California state?
Amazing video! Very well explained.
Yes , same here , but everyone just judges you or think you're being incompetent!
Hi. ! Do you have any idea about this yet? Can we connect?
I need some guidance
You forgot to mention one more thing;
Some Indians think studying in US is a sure shot way of getting a high paying job in top companies in India.
If that's someone's goal, I'd say take a gap, give all your best in GATE and get into NIT or IIIT at least. Get 7.5+ CGPA and after 2-3 years of placement you'll be making (more than) good money.
GATE has extremely low success rate just like any other govt exams and wasting there crucial 2 3 years in it .

You are inspiring buddy. Honest and hard hitting.
I liked the reasons and your perspective
But what I feel is that master's is a professional degree and before going for it you should be prepared to handle the stress and know how hard is to handle that.
But anyhow master's in its own is self explanatory.
So the reasons are very apt and definitely one should look out for his career goals then take a big decision like this
totally agree
Great videos bro, keep up the great work!
I respect your honesty and critical thinking - you chose to make difficult decisions and told us about them. Kudos!
God bless PS: 15mins is the perfect length of videos
Hardest choices require strongest wills
This video was very useful !
1. Quality of education
2. Super easy
3. Job is not for you
4. Can't handle stress, loneliness, depression
5. Just for money with no money
thanks bigbro

Very true . I came to the USA 16 years back and I still regret it. Will come back to India at some point 🇮🇳 that's where my ❤ is
What happened bro!?
Your country waits for you brother
