When I was growing up (I’m 69 now), my Mom (from Chicago) used to make a dish that included sauteed onions, crumbled bacon, leftover diced boiled potaoes, scrambled eggs, and lots of melted cheese. She called it German Farmer’s Breakfast. I think lots of cultures/countries have a similar dish in their repertoire.
That sounds delicious and yeah I think each area or country has a kinda signature dish. This was just something I threw together and it turned out great. I thought about trying to make different recipes from around the world.
I make similar loaded potatoes …. I also add mushrooms if I have them …. But I call them loaded potatoes because the first thing I do is make a Bloody Mary.
That looks absolutely delicious. The outdoor griddle is obviously a huge convenience, but there's no reason this can't be done indoors on a cast iron pan.
Thanks and that's true, anything that is done on a Blackstone can be done in a frying pan. But you can't cook the quantity of food at once in pan that you can on a Blackstone so cooking time increases greatly. Plus I'm outside, I love cooking outdoors!!

@@TheCrazyPop it turned out great my only thing forgot the bacon 🥓 had it just got excited. You was right add anything until your heart in content!!! I add veggie medley broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions, potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. After mixing all together it smelled great!!
Enjoy your griddlin, and this recipe is good. I use ghee butter for the drop zone, we kinda like the butter flavor of the taters with a little oil. I Used venison sausage too, really adds flavor. Your use of the dome with steam on the taters, good idea. Can't have too much cheese or bacon. Great meal you created. I will try it with your technique and ingredients. Well done.
i have ate in Saluda,S.C. at Burger King a lot of times on my way back home from the hunting property in Aiken County 328 acres and 272 acres of leased land have got to old to hunt now,i live in Hendersonville,N.C.
Talk about bacon as a dessert, take pineapple rings and take bacon that's been cut in half lengthwise and put one end of your bacon strip through the hole and keep going through that hole over and over and over again until you get it and completely wrapped and fry it up. Pure awesomeness.

Fresh Garlic would probably be pretty good in it, worth a try. I would add a small amount and try it them add as needed! I might have to try that out!

I use an infrared thermometer for accurate cooking/griddle temp’s. You should too.
