Nail bomb is top tier can literally take out a whole patrol with 1-2 throws. I never used to use it but once I got good at using it its a go to weapon now.
Gotta say, I like the katanas. They have good reach, and good for dismemberment so as long as you see the walker first they don’t stand a chance + you can stab with them but it’s a bit hard to do so
I never leave camp without a frying pan in my last backpack slot for easy access in case I'm either taking out solo stragglers or have a broken knife/blade Also a tip for using the pan: swing overhead and aim for the face, smack hard! It usually one-taps if you do it right. Eventually, you get it down to a science.
You forgot that the psvr literally can’t aim because it works off of lights and not cameras, so with two handed weapons, you can’t aim because one light blocks out the other.
The grass cutter and the absolution blade are the exact same. No joke, I KID you NOT, the same stats, same durability, same resource cost to build, and same salvage materials. JUST a reskin.
yeah all of the dlc weapons for both chapter 1 and 2 are just worse reskins of their counter part (the sheriff is the one exception) somehow an even bigger waste of money than buying the game itself
Weird, I never had trouble with the starting revolver. I actually killed entire groups of Reclaimed with just that revolver, though it was always with me having the jump on them, scoring headshots, and getting by with ambush tactics. The 9mm pistol I admit I would rather take in an open fight or if I'm expecting to clean a house, of course. I play on Quest 2 btw.

I would argue that crowbar is a decent weapon for 1. The bottom of the handle can brain walkers so it’s just a line to stab them and 2. It has alright durability for a non craftable weapon
I have used a FS92M handgun, when it was jamming to the point it was essentially a shitty cheap air soft handgun, in the Trial. I can make do with a jammed pistol and with my fast reload and above average aim, I can murder a horde of walkers with ease, except if I have enough stam.

My opinion on every weapon (that is craftable and I might have to separate each comment on their category if that makes sense. I will make a in world ranking in like 6 months from now and I'll also rank retribution weapons because why not.) One handed melee weapons: Shiv: The shiv is a pretty decent starter weapon and even after the first like three days it is still a fun weapon,(but not as good since literally almost every other weapon exists) overall it's an ok weapon that gets you through (B-) The National Guard is quite literally the same thing as the shiv but cooler and i think it stabs better (Or I might be tripping) (B) The Night shift is extremely good as it does everything that the shiv doesn't, it stabs way better, it lasts longer, and it is cool (A) The Cleaver is pretty good as it can decapitate pretty well, it stabs decently, and it also uses less stamina (if you are decaping) (A) The fourth and pain is literally the Cleaver but is way more cool and it also has more durability (I think it does anyways) (S-) The Wolverine Claw thingy is a pretty nice weapon with good stats but it's also not really that good as the night shift (A-)
One handed ranged weapons/handguns: The 30 Revolver is a not very good weapon that for some reason I love using, it doesn't last long and it also doesn't do much damage but for some reason I just like using it, overall the weapon is not good at all but every time I use it I like it even more (C) The 45. Revolver is basically similar to the 30. Revolver but it is actually good as it lasts way longer and also insta kills some npcs (aka every npc that uses a 30. Revolver) overall it is very good (S) The Sheriff is literally the same thing but it looks cooler (S) The 9mm is a very great weapon that is fast, long lasting, and holds a nice amount of ammo, overall it's a very good weapon although I am more biased towards the Revolvers (A+)

Two handed ranged weapons: The double barreled shotgun is a great weapon that lasts an alright amount of time, does amazing damage, and is also cheap, overall it is an amazing weapon (A) The bolt action rifle is a rifle that I am biased towards since I love using it however, it is not very practical so overall a weapon that feels good to use but isn't practical (A-) The Nova shotgun is literally the double barreled shotgun but has more weapon durability, ammo capacity, and I think a better range, so overall it is the double barreled shotgun but way better (S) The lever action rifle is like the bolt action with good range and good damage, but the lever action is better since it has a better ammo capacity and is also way more practical so overall the gun is very good (A+) The Assault Rifle is a pretty great weapon that has the highest ammo capacity (in chapter one) it also pierces armor, have three modes, and also have a very good durability, overall it is very great and nice (A+) The laminated bow is not good at all as it has like no durability and is just dumb in my opinion, overall it is the worst weapon you can craft In my opinion (C-) The improved bow is the laminated bow but slightly better (C+)
Bombs: The nail bomb is eh, it has a nice explosion range and it is good at dealing with a couple of people but it is hard to throw, overall it is not bad but not that good (B-) The sticky bomb is a pretty decent bomb that is the second fastest bomb to explode and overall it is decent (B+) The timed bomb is the best bomb as it has the best explosion radius and I also always use it without the npcs running away (A-)
Retribution dlc/Etc weapons: The blessing is just the 9mm but cooler and also cheaper (A) Fat Tuesday is just like Chicago's way but with worse iron sights and also heavier weight (S-) The chosen is kinda mid as it breaks pretty quickly and is also comparable to the shiv, so overall it kinda sucks (B-) The recurve bow is actually kinda good as it lasts very long and also has a good sight, so overall it is my favorite bow (B+)
You can jump on a car so that the zobies cannot grab you and from up there you can kill them with the pan easily without waisting weapons and condition
There’s actually something really interesting about the guns in the game, like the ar416, if you take a full mag and cock it, then replace the mag, you’ll get 31 bullets instead of 30, this also goes for every other gun in the game except revolvers.
Just got these 2 games for psvr2 man. Its wierd to see the age of a game once its got your interest. I surprisingly enjoyed seeing the few bugs that i never even knew existed.
I actually would rank most knife pretty high ever since I learned how to throw them. But mostly I main _The Sheriff_ _Smedi's Hand_ and an Assault Rife.
Oh that explains it for the Nova I used it in retribution and when I looked at the shot gun my game COMPLETELY froze I couldn't restart it but then it restarted
I have this on PSVR and I’ve only done a few missions but I haven’t missed a shot with a handgun yet. I mean you just line up the dots on the sights and fire like real life. Haven’t had a revolver look like yours did with the aiming either.
I personally find the crowbar really good I hold it sideways so the bottom half is the one stabbing the walkers Makes the crowbar 500 times better than using the normal side
In the first game, yeah the explosive egg timer is pretty useless. But in the second game at night, GODDAMN its useful. like you can throw it and they will walk to it and explode(plus it feels so tactical). Overall, the explosive egg timer is an F in the first game but S in the second game in my opinion lol.
You can break boards with the cleaver and I don’t know if you knew this but you can also break boards with the guns and other boards you just have to do the same mechanism as if you’re using an ax or a crowbar in the game or if you using the card you can just whacked it sideways with the AR you can go forward and it’ll break because as full durability stars in I didn’t even know that you can use the little statue collectibles as weapons
6:13 if you grab a pack of cigarettes and take a single one out you can use the lighter to light the cigarette and it will burn into a cigarette butt. You also can put the lit cigarettes in your mouth however i dont think it does anything other then be a neat little feature
Nice to see how different people rank the variety of guns..For me the frying pan is a definite S tier as well as the catana since a little practice can always guarantee a one hit kill. Also the lever action is one of the best weapons since the iron sights are the best in the whole game as well as the firing rate if you hip fire it right. But I see we all agree that throwable explosives are sh*t since the throwing mechanics of the game are just bad and you end up killing yourself almost nine times out of ten tries.. Great video! And since chapter 2 released my main loadout is Pumpgun on the shoulder, sheriff and 4th and pain on my hips as well as two katanas in my backpack combined with the stell knuckle gloves. I mainly use the pan in my right hand, stun the walkers with it and finish them off with my left boxing glove. It's great fun and also works as crowd control.
Well with a bow each arrow is a stabbing weapon that can take out at least 5 zeds before breaking when upgraded and you can hold 1,000 of them too. I grab the bow just to equip arrows lol Also the sherif was great alone just to pistol whip zeds.
for the .30 go into your settings and in gameplay there should be something for gun angle and it changes where the gun is pointing when your aiming straight

@@nuttyak2taps In my opinion, 30. Revolver is definitely C tier but I'm a little generous because my brain has been permanently damaged after doing the stupid idea to play the game only using that gun and beat chapter 1 and 2, and 45. Revolver/Sheriff is easily S tier while the 9mm is A tier
I have one thing to say. On Quest the pump shotgun is not good, no, trash I would say because it not easy to recharge and slow to shoot because of it. At this point I would say it better just to use the double barrel shotgun because it way faster to reload and shoot.
for throwing issues in vr, everybody has those. throw underhand. for whatever reason underhand throws work exactly how you would expect like in real life.
It's probably the fact that overhand throwing is usually done by actually throwing an object, thus turning your hand a specific way to throw properly. Underhand you just sorta let go, same as in VR.
Fun fact, If you get a cheat file with max materials and all recipies and you have bought the tourist version you get all the recipies from that if they had that on the file ofc
On quest, revolvers completely outclass the fs92m. They aim straight for us and never jam, plus with the fast reload for them (hold the wheel to the ammo) they can get back in the fight just as quickly. The compound bow is hands down the best, most useful tool in the game. You can silently kill with easy hip fire headshots. You can lure hordes of zombies and sometimes even patrols with fireworks and then blow up the group. You can use your ammunition as melee weapons. You can reuse the base ammo. It never jams. You can blow up doors. It's to the point that if you're good with it, it's overpowered compared to every other weapon in the game. You can light cigarettes with the lighter. Smoke em if you've got em.
I’m on quest 2 and I still prefer the 92 due to me not have to be in a certain position to reload fast especially if I’m in a situation where I need to get into action immediately just drop the mag put the full one in and boom back in. Also I like being able to shoot fast and have high capacity over shooting slow and having a lower capacity.
You can actually light cigarettes with the lighter and the cigarette will slowly shorten while smoking, and you can put the cigarette in your mouth, tho you won’t get any smoke out of your mouth when you take it out. And you can one shot with all blunt attack objects, not sure how it works, but you can. Also the only thing I found you can do that’s really fun to do with the time bomb, is to get one from the other end of the catacombs next to the last pump station when you start a new run, going for the key to the coffin, then take it to the first pump station after programming the first pump, cover yourself with walker innards, and walk into the middle of the crowd, set it to like a quarter, back up a fair distance, and watch them all die at once. Completely unnecessary: Very fun.
And I LOVE the bows so bad!! ❤️🏹❤️ Also very fun to just grab an arrow and just go on a stabbing spree, especially with the Jambalaya, lasts for like 5-8ish ppl

I’m on my second playthrough and the axe is so annoying to use. I almost ALWAYS just push the zombies back a bit, which gets REALLY tedious quickly. Could just be a skill tissue though
Yep, pretty much every object in the game is bullet proof, pillows work great as shields but melee weapons like the 4th and Pain work just as well, since the AI only aim for your head, no where else.

It also blocks lot of shots while you use a pistol in the other hand.
Use two Infront of your face to be almost bulletproof (still a slight chance to hit you somehow,but they seem to just shoot you in the face)

The durability on the bow is bad, but with practice it can empty a room of enemies quickly. Plus it goes through armor very well even face armor

Tbh the shiv is one of the coolest weapons because of the simplicity of it, the size, and it just feels cool to use on walkers in my opinion

can get up to 4 kills with a spoon - 12-6 motion works for grass clipper when there's lots of zombies, also same for frying pan/pot.

In the first game, yeah the explosive egg timer is pretty useless.
But in the second game at night, GODDAMN its useful. like you can throw it and they will walk to it and explode(plus it feels so tactical).
Overall, the explosive egg timer is an F in the first game but S in the second game in my opinion lol.
You can break boards with the cleaver and I don’t know if you knew this but you can also break boards with the guns and other boards you just have to do the same mechanism as if you’re using an ax or a crowbar in the game or if you using the card you can just whacked it sideways with the AR you can go forward and it’ll break because as full durability stars in I didn’t even know that you can use the little statue collectibles as weapons
Katana cuts through necks like butter, nail bat does more damage to your stamina bar than to anything you actually hit with it

There's no set place for it to spawn I don't think, just keep scavenging dining rooms and you'll find it

Pro tip, you can smash bottles on your watch to break them, if for some reason you dont have anything to smash them on.
You can smash them on literally anything with a collision
6:13 if you grab a pack of cigarettes and take a single one out you can use the lighter to light the cigarette and it will burn into a cigarette butt. You also can put the lit cigarettes in your mouth however i dont think it does anything other then be a neat little feature

Nice to see how different people rank the variety of guns..For me the frying pan is a definite S tier as well as the catana since a little practice can always guarantee a one hit kill. Also the lever action is one of the best weapons since the iron sights are the best in the whole game as well as the firing rate if you hip fire it right.
But I see we all agree that throwable explosives are sh*t since the throwing mechanics of the game are just bad and you end up killing yourself almost nine times out of ten tries..

And since chapter 2 released my main loadout is Pumpgun on the shoulder, sheriff and 4th and pain on my hips as well as two katanas in my backpack combined with the stell knuckle gloves.
I mainly use the pan in my right hand, stun the walkers with it and finish them off with my left boxing glove. It's great fun and also works as crowd control.

Well with a bow each arrow is a stabbing weapon that can take out at least 5 zeds before breaking when upgraded and you can hold 1,000 of them too.
I grab the bow just to equip arrows lol

I always take 2 ARs and a bow and 2 of the f29fm(or whatever) pistols. I also use nail bombs alot when going to highly infested areas.
You can also use the lighter to light cigarettes if you find them

for the .30 go into your settings and in gameplay there should be something for gun angle and it changes where the gun is pointing when your aiming straight

@@nuttyak2taps In my opinion, 30. Revolver is definitely C tier but I'm a little generous because my brain has been permanently damaged after doing the stupid idea to play the game only using that gun and beat chapter 1 and 2, and 45. Revolver/Sheriff is easily S tier while the 9mm is A tier

I have one thing to say. On Quest the pump shotgun is not good, no, trash I would say because it not easy to recharge and slow to shoot because of it. At this point I would say it better just to use the double barrel shotgun because it way faster to reload and shoot.
for throwing issues in vr, everybody has those. throw underhand. for whatever reason underhand throws work exactly how you would expect like in real life.
It's probably the fact that overhand throwing is usually done by actually throwing an object, thus turning your hand a specific way to throw properly. Underhand you just sorta let go, same as in VR.

There is one thing that I know of that interacts with the lighter's flame, cigarettes.
On quest, revolvers completely outclass the fs92m. They aim straight for us and never jam, plus with the fast reload for them (hold the wheel to the ammo) they can get back in the fight just as quickly.
The compound bow is hands down the best, most useful tool in the game. You can silently kill with easy hip fire headshots. You can lure hordes of zombies and sometimes even patrols with fireworks and then blow up the group. You can use your ammunition as melee weapons. You can reuse the base ammo. It never jams. You can blow up doors. It's to the point that if you're good with it, it's overpowered compared to every other weapon in the game.
You can light cigarettes with the lighter. Smoke em if you've got em.

I’m on quest 2 and I still prefer the 92 due to me not have to be in a certain position to reload fast especially if I’m in a situation where I need to get into action immediately just drop the mag put the full one in and boom back in. Also I like being able to shoot fast and have high capacity over shooting slow and having a lower capacity.
With the hatchet you can actually used it one handed if you put enough swinging power and grip it at the very top
When ever I throw something at someone in vr I either throw it too far or not far enough
You can actually light cigarettes with the lighter and the cigarette will slowly shorten while smoking, and you can put the cigarette in your mouth, tho you won’t get any smoke out of your mouth when you take it out.
And you can one shot with all blunt attack objects, not sure how it works, but you can.
Also the only thing I found you can do that’s really fun to do with the time bomb, is to get one from the other end of the catacombs next to the last pump station when you start a new run, going for the key to the coffin, then take it to the first pump station after programming the first pump, cover yourself with walker innards, and walk into the middle of the crowd, set it to like a quarter, back up a fair distance, and watch them all die at once. Completely unnecessary: Very fun.
Also the crashing thing for the broken pistols isn’t a thing on psvr, never experienced that on here before.
And I LOVE the bows so bad!!

Nail bomb,timed explosive and explosive arrows are by far the cheapest and strongest items you can use.
I’m on my second playthrough and the axe is so annoying to use. I almost ALWAYS just push the zombies back a bit, which gets REALLY tedious quickly. Could just be a skill tissue though
Oh hey lil factoid but I found that you can actually shield bullets really well with The Esteemed Mortal
Yep, pretty much every object in the game is bullet proof, pillows work great as shields but melee weapons like the 4th and Pain work just as well, since the AI only aim for your head, no where else.
