Toei really has outstanding team of animators but they have deadlines so they have to keep up to the time table also there are handling one of the biggest anime such as one piece and dragon ball

Look at Mappa they have been putting so much work this year and it we can clearly see the reward they got from it. One piece reusing the episode before till the 15 minute mark. I'm an anime only and the trailer spoiled pretty much nothing. We already knew a massive foreign civilization was outside the walls and the trailer just showed some of their military aspects. And a lot of new cool titans. And Reiner is going to have quite an influence.

He probably didn’t like it because it was way more modern compared to the others; since they were based on early 2000s openings. The change was drastic but it payed off, I think it helps the offset of the meh(really not that bad, I just didn’t like it)season 2 opening. It’s just a matter of perspective. Also they did have to try and top season 1s iconic opening, which will always be a challenge.

Sure you have the manga adaptation and design, but do you know what are camera angles? How WIT directed the AoT Franchise not just adapting it. Man, the angles, shots, and animation is way too perfect for WIT and AoT, also the music they use compare now.

The designs look pretty close (considering a time skip and all that), but I can definitely see the difference in color. I'm just glad that, from these shots, composition doesn't seem to be taking too big of a hit. The one thing I'm more worried about is the music, tbh. Hiroyuki Sawano's music is extremely recognizable (and good, y'know?), and, while the trailer music sounds kinda hype it doesn't quite reach the same levels of hype as Sawano's tracks.
Don’t worry! That music in the trailer was a project done by Sawano’s friend, but he Sawano will be returning which is a relief! It wouldn’t be complete AoT without his masterpieces.

to all y’all complaining how MAPPA butchered the characters, in reality, they did an amazing job. Most anime studios/productions make the anime look different from the manga or cut things out to spare time and energy. MAPPA, from the trailer, is actually making it look like the manga. I pray they put panel to panel in the anime and not cut things out because the manga is so good and deserves to be animated. The new style was introduced in the manga, it wasn’t the studios decision, they just put that new style into the anime. Nonetheless, the new style is still very cool and doesn’t change my judgement of the anime. Truly my favorite anime and always will be.

This is the same studio working on the god of high school anime, and the jujutsu kaisen anime, safe to say this studio is the future. Terror in resonance had some really nice looking animation, and so did hajime no ippo rising (although that one was co produced by madhouse)

Hearing that Hiroyuki Sawano is still working on the soundtrack REALLY put my mind at ease! I love the first 3 soundtracks for attack on titan they released!
Mappa is the best anime animating studio, this season will look crazy, especially the fight scenes considering the history Mappa has with their insane fight scenes. In Mappa we trust.
i LOVE the new look for the characters. They’re older now. Hardened by war. They’ve changed, why would they look the same? And I love the way they feel. It feels more realistic, as weird as that sounds, and I think it contributes to the tone we’re going to see through out the final season.
I honestly didn't even realise that there was a studio change when i first watched the trailer. I thought it was the same studio going above and beyond for the final season cuz it looks so much better than the other seasons!! Season 4 is gonna be INSANE! Can't wait to see MAPPA's work !!
Its only natural that they're different since its a time skip. Characters get matured. And also if you guys want high quality anime to watch you should go to premium websites so that you can help your favorite animator and studios to produce high quality animations.

I actually like how they have a different studio. the first 3 seasons focus/builds up the story inside the walls. this final season opens up with a whole different world and changing the art style adds to the shift of feeling.
The things that feels lost to me is that colour choice for the backgrounds and characters. It feels cheap and doesnt pop out. Attack on titan has beautiful background with rich colour paletes that make the characters emotiond pop. Feels like water colour on the new trailer and buildings not that detail.
Oh boy in all honesty, MAPPA is one of the best studios at animating fight scenes. So yea no need to worry the fight scenes ;) I'm more worried about art style and coloring actually

Sure you have the manga adaptation and design, but do you know what are camera angles? How WIT directed the AoT Franchise not just adapting it. Man, the angles, shots, and animation is way too perfect for WIT and AoT, also the music they use compare now.

The designs look pretty close (considering a time skip and all that), but I can definitely see the difference in color. I'm just glad that, from these shots, composition doesn't seem to be taking too big of a hit.
The one thing I'm more worried about is the music, tbh. Hiroyuki Sawano's music is extremely recognizable (and good, y'know?), and, while the trailer music sounds kinda hype it doesn't quite reach the same levels of hype as Sawano's tracks.

to all y’all complaining how MAPPA butchered the characters, in reality, they did an amazing job. Most anime studios/productions make the anime look different from the manga or cut things out to spare time and energy. MAPPA, from the trailer, is actually making it look like the manga. I pray they put panel to panel in the anime and not cut things out because the manga is so good and deserves to be animated. The new style was introduced in the manga, it wasn’t the studios decision, they just put that new style into the anime. Nonetheless, the new style is still very cool and doesn’t change my judgement of the anime. Truly my favorite anime and always will be.
Those who complained about the characters are most likely anime onlys who never read the manga and had no idea that they were intended to look like that by Isayama himself
Only problem I see and no one is complaining about it is the fluent motion wit studios had with aot is super amazing and you may notice very fast in the new season that their motion was amazing the last studio so idk If the moving animation will look good I dont care about character designs but animation complexity hell hes

This is the same studio working on the god of high school anime, and the jujutsu kaisen anime, safe to say this studio is the future. Terror in resonance had some really nice looking animation, and so did hajime no ippo rising (although that one was co produced by madhouse)

They started following the manga art much more closely. and some scenes from the Season 4 PV look traced

Look at the first scene with Hanji. She looked waaaaay better back then it’s one of the most drastic changes.
i LOVE the new look for the characters. They’re older now. Hardened by war. They’ve changed, why would they look the same? And I love the way they feel. It feels more realistic, as weird as that sounds, and I think it contributes to the tone we’re going to see through out the final season.

I honestly didn't even realise that there was a studio change when i first watched the trailer. I thought it was the same studio going above and beyond for the final season cuz it looks so much better than the other seasons!! Season 4 is gonna be INSANE! Can't wait to see MAPPA's work !!

the first 3 seasons focus/builds up the story inside the walls. this final season opens up with a whole different world and changing the art style adds to the shift of feeling.

The things that feels lost to me is that colour choice for the backgrounds and characters. It feels cheap and doesnt pop out. Attack on titan has beautiful background with rich colour paletes that make the characters emotiond pop. Feels like water colour on the new trailer and buildings not that detail.
