Hiya Gary. Great to see you out in the wild so to speak! 🤣 I popped along to my nearest store this morning and it occured to me that I'm a grown man, and the only reason I'm going into a grocery store is to check out and buy some plastic model kits! Well..... I needed some milk! Anyway...... it also struck me that, I don't care! I was as excited today going to check out what they had in store as I used to be as a teenager, when I used to go to Beatties on a saturday morning! I'm ok with that! 😁 And that's partly thanks to you mate. Watching your channel over the past few years has rekindled a childhood passion and helped me get through the everyday drudgery of life. I would never have known about all these offers if it wasn't for your channel, so thanks Gary. 🙏 👍 Incidentally, I purchased the Gnat and DUKW too! Cheers mate, see you on MM! 👍👊 Bobby
4 car models were present at both Lidl's in my town. Didn't look at the ships or small scales though but most of them looked to be available. A fresh bin of Hot Wheels too!
Visiting SLEAFORD LINCOLNSHIRE first thing this morning and ALL the models were displayed and in good numbers too! I brought the "GNAT" model. Thanks for your report. Best wishes from Lincolnshire.
I had to go to two Lidls to get the ones I wanted .. but the second one had all of them in stock I did by the Porsche 911 3.2 and the Porsche 934 I also pick up the tiger tank ..
Thanks for the videos Gary. On the advice on your previous video I went out this morning looking for the Willys jeep kit in particular. But the Lidl I went to had the Dukw instead... I went to 3 Lidls in total today and found that each have seemingly been stocked with a slightly different range, so anyone after these should check more of their local stores! One had challenger and Apache quick-build kits, while another had the Messerschmitt and Bugatti Veyron kits (all 3 stores I visited had the Lamborghini and Audi kits "as standard") Likewise, for the regular kits: Some stores have the Tiger Moth and Willys Jeep, while others get the Dukw and Folland Gnat.
Hi Gary - thanks for the update! I too saw the DUKW in place of the Willis Jeep, and the Gnat was an “extra” - but all other kits were as advertised in your previous video I guess it could be regional distribution differences (I’m in Cardiff). I would’ve picked up the racing Porsche if it seen it! No Jaguar Pace, but there is an E-type. Best wishes
The Revell 1/24 cars if that's your thing what a good buy. It makes me think back to Telford there were some great car kits, the ship who wouldn't like to make HMS Victory but all that rigging 😅 thanks for the shout out mate 👍
Hello Gary. Only found your channel tonight. I bought the Jag kit this afternoon from a North Wales branch of Lidl. Makes me think it might be a regional / logistical problem. My Jag kit was the last one there. My local Aldi has No kits at all so again maybe a supply issue ?
Went to two branches in my part of Northumberland. I bought the Revell 1/24 scale E-type Jaguar Coupe and Porsche 911, but not the Rally version of the Porsche or the McLaren, which they also had - though only one of each, even at opening time. There were plenty of the 1/72 scale kits - the same ones as you saw - but no Tiger Moth, which I was looking for. All the ship models were present, but, again, only one of each on the shelves. I didn't bother with the Quickbuild kits: there were plenty there but I can't tell you which models. Best wishes.
I picked up the only Jaguar today from my local Lidl not long after it had opened. They had all the Revell kits advertised. They had a lot more Airfix than in previous years, which surprised me as a lot will have them already stashed.
I visited one of my local Ledl stores in Stockton on Tees this morning. Didn't see an Airfix Tiger Moth, but they did have a Duck. Had the pleasure of driving one of those in Liverpool docks about 14 yrs ago; before the authorities grounded them because one set on fire on the Thames, I believe it was. All the Revel ships were on sale, as were the cars; treat myself to the E-Type Jag. Plenty of Quick Build, must admit I didn't see a yellow nosed 109 though. Of course that doesn't mean there wasn't one as it might have already been sold and staff hadn't got round to re stocking, same applies to the Tiger Mouth. There was a steady stream of customers buying models. Guy bought a Titanic and the Airfix 1\72's were (pun intended) flying of the shelves.
I own a substantial collection of Folland historical items thanks to my late father - including Henry's silver cigarette case ! The Gnat will live forever
i got the racing porsche. was surprised to see that. i did see the red jag at my store but didnt buy it. but did get the duck. . I still have 2 ships left to do from last time.. victory and titanic. i only went to get the tiger moth. but that wasnt there anyway... i may go look at a different store accross town to see if they have it there...
My LIDL had both porsches, jag E type and the McLaren - guess it is luck of the draw and if anyone swoops in for a specific kit. Enjoy your channel - Cheers
So, what are the prices, and how are they silly money? I get they're cheap as chips, but the idea is to get folks building & branching out to other, more expensive kits in due time maybe. So from a marketing perspective, this approach of special manufactured-to-order is somewhat sensible.
£6 99 fine not £19 99 very limited range 😢probably old stock airfix & revel but after Christmas back up this is a dying market as kits are to expensive they claim they give extra detail most is hidden from view after it’s built who are they kidding !

Thanks Gary straight after this video went and secured a Dukw! Wasn’t going to bother as I bought the other kits previously
Lol. 'GARY the roving reporter'.
You need a dead cat microphone cover.
Such fun
Do have them but didn't take the microphones to Lidl and had to do some processing to get the audio vaguely discernible!

At my local store got the Apache this morning for the Grandson
I got the E Type, a nice boxing of the Vampire T11 in RNZAF markings the cromwell and a couple of DUKWs. The Revell ships look nice too..
Good selection of models 🎉 brought a DUKW ❤
They had the E type in my local Lidl
I bought too many of these last year, just have to build the fw190 then I've done them all 😅maybe I can pick up that porsche.
My Lidl had all the revell kits and airfix
Dukw will be interesting

It looks like I need to go to my local Lidl tomorrow then. I think I'll give the Jags a miss though... ahem...

I managed to get the E Type, I think it will be in my stash for a while as it's past my skill level for now😊
Got the submarine spitfire thanks to your advice! I wouldn't of even known otherwise. Once again thank you

I saw the Revell Jag at the Durham branch this morning.
I picked up the only Jaguar today from my local Lidl not long after it had opened. They had all the Revell kits advertised. They had a lot more Airfix than in previous years, which surprised me as a lot will have them already stashed.

My Lidl had them today.
I got the classic spitfire mk1a as I've not actually built one yet.
It can go next to my mk5b and PRxix
I got the jag in my store, I'm guessing they're just in selected stores.
A Jaguar? How bold of them...
Stunning and brave....😂😂
@@BillyRiff-RAFso ruddy brave 😂
I own a substantial collection of Folland historical items thanks to my late father - including Henry's silver cigarette case ! The Gnat will live forever
They definitely had the Jag in the lincoln store today alongside the the ones shown in the video
Lidl Braintree had all 4 of the 1-24 revel cars very happy to get the martini and they had the apache helicopter. All in all my winter is sorted 😊
Hi in my store jeep and tigermoth no duck or quick build 109, different stores different models . I’m in the north east.
Hi Gary. I want to two local Lidl stores today; no Tiger Moth or Jeep models in either. Al, Lancaster
Lucky sods 🤪 We have a total of zipperdiezilch special offers in our Lidls over here.
Seems to be a very UK thing. Lots of Lego though.
I purchased sherman and duck, I saw the 911 in Martini colours almost bought it. E type was there also.
i got the racing porsche. was surprised to see that. i did see the red jag at my store but didnt buy it. but did get the duck. . My Lidl had everything.
And who doesn't fancy a good duck.......😉
How come Airfix kits are such a ridiculous price ? Even discounted prices are silly money.
So, what are the prices, and how are they silly money?

The Airfix stock is made to order, don't know about the Revell kits though.
