I've got a Lidle only about 2 mins walk away. If it weren't for the stacks of unbuilt and built but unpainted kits I have on the shelf I would be off there now!!! I may pick up a few Tigers just for hell of it if there any left tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know!
No worries @nickellingham1764, TBH hohest i didn't intend to buy this much though the Quickbuild kits are basically LEGO and i did used to love the stuff when i was a kid.
Nice assortment of kits there! I've built that Revell HMS Victory, and contrary to a fair few negative comments that I've seen about it in the past, it's actually a very nice model to build; goes together well, and when finished really looks the part - just remember to sand away the ridiculous 'Revell 1959' logo that is molded onto the upper surface of the poop deck!!! Use some online photos to help with the rigging, and it'll look great! I also have that same Mayflower kit, but haven't built it yet....but it does look lovely; beautifully molded for a kit of its age! It - just like the Victory - will need a fair bit of flash clean-up, but then it IS a Revell kit, so you expect flash....even on a brand new kit!! 😁 £20 for each of those is a bargain; Lidl have some good deals going! 👍🏻
Hello there @stevesstuff1450 and thanks for watching. Yes i think the victory will look good when painted up, didn't really intend to get the Mayflower but thought "what the hell", the Quickbuild kits also thought i'll give them a go as i did used to love LEGO back in the day.
Hi Andy. So you know that you said that you were running out of space ? Errm ? I went to my Lidl today but they didn't have the Tomahawk so I walked away. There's another bigger store near me so I might pop down there tomorrow. The milk bottle is an unusual one , do you get a kit of a cow in that one ? Good luck bud.
Hi Brian, LOL fantastic plastic. The Airfix Quick build kits are basically LEGO, i used to love the stuff as a kid, plan for them build em, vid em, flog em on EBAY, i'll probs build the Victory and the Mayflower at some on Trafalgar Day and Mayflower sailing/landing day. the Porsche and the Jag, well i just couldnt resist LOL.
GOOD HAUL THERE ANDY,THOSE SHIPS LOOK LIKE THEY WOULD BE A GREAT FATHER-SON BUILD.WORKING RETAIL BACK IN THE 70S.,I ALWAYS GOT FIRST PICK ON ALL THE MODEL ORDERS COMING IN.TAKE CARE
well TBH i went a bit "overboard" LOL, the Quickbuild kits are basically LEGO, i used to love the stuff as a kid, easy build, easy vid and then flog them on EBAY i think.
Hey Andy. 👊 Great haul there mate! I wanted to get the ship kits too as they look really cool, and a bargain too! However..... along with 3 revell car kits, a quickbuild, 2 starter sets, a jigsaw and a 2 pinter of milk, I thought it best to leave them on the shelf! Don't want loads of great kits but no food on the table on Christmas day! 🙈🤣🤣 To be honest mate, the quickbuilds got me back into modelling a few years back when I was struggling with life a bit. They are easy, fun to build and look really nice on the shelf. I love em! I got the DUKW and the Gnat too. Good win for the reds serry 👍 Take it easy mate Be seeing you.....
hi bobby, ah you got the milk aswell? TBH had never seen a Quickbuild before, built 2 last night though the Hawk is going back as there was a duplicate piece and a piece missing.....shock horror
I managed to get the Revell E-Type Jaguar and Porsche 911 kits that I wanted: they also had the McLaren and a rally version of the 911, which I passed on. Sadly there were no Tiger Moth kits at the stores I visited, but they did have the other unannounced 1/72 kits, which did not interest me. I may try other branches tomorrow if the mood takes me, but I'm hardly short of unbuilt kits, though I'm not in your league or Mikey's. Best wishes.
hi @georgeclements2742 i passed on the other Porsche and a Lamborghini, i probs would have got the Titanic if it was available, yes there seemed to be a contradiction between what was advertised and what they had, TBH wasn't going to touch the Airfix Quickbuild kits but i think i'll build them, make a vid and sell them on as i used to love LEGO when i was a kid and thats basically what they are.
@michaelgriffith381 i have some ICM and Miniart 1/35 merc's but am not really that interested in cars either, though was glad to pick these up to diversify my channel output.................erm at some point over the next 10 years of kit building LOL.
@guitarsngoldfish8276 LOL that was a while ago i reckon, no current figure, i reckon i'll do a kit stash vid in February when i reach 1 year on youtube.
Hey Andy, some good kits at goog prices. The XKE looks like a fun build . Those paints included would barely cover the HMS Victory. I guess they must be useful otherwise Airfix wouldn't put them in. I know you don't use them from your videos over in the colonies the political scene is slowly calming down and I mean slowly. But I think it will be a good change for next year. I'm slowly getting better about putting in more build time as well Hope all else is well, Cheers Bob.
Hi Bob i'll probs do the Victory on Trafalgar day and that colonial kit on the setting sale of the Mayflower date...............which year? sometime between 2024 and 2034 PMSL
@TheNoviceModeller Hey Andy, the Msyflower arrived in Cape Cod Massachusetts in November of 1620 - historically just a baby in time to the history of Great Britain. It only took 10 weeks which is not bad. Still thinking about all those kits you bought at Lidl. Cheers for now , Bob
I popped into my local Lidl and got some cheese, butter and biscuits, only went in there for a ladder, a wetsuit, and a welder
Hello there @mrbillhicks and thanks for watching, did you not see the cement mixer on Special offer in the middle isle? tsch was a bargain LOL.
I bought the Mayflower yesterday. Wanted it for years. 😊
hello there @davidwright7588 and thanks for watching and good luck with your Mayflower

Great adds. Those pictures with the ships are pretty cool. Model on.
Hello there @charlie418791 and thanks for watching, i just popped in for milk.....................honest!
The quick build are fun when you're having a beer watching the game to build
@davep7308 i built a couple of them yesterday, they are kinda cool, i was thinking about buying a COBI at some point which are pretty similar

Cool 👍
Bargains?
I haven’t made any cars to be honest it’s not a subject I’m interested in . Like the look of the ships tho . Nice to see you bought Welsh milk 😂
@michaelgriffith381 i have some ICM and Miniart 1/35 merc's but am not really that interested in cars either, though was glad to pick these up to diversify my channel output.................erm at some point over the next 10 years of kit building LOL.
@ yeah I understand your reasoning you have to diversify 👍then again if I see you build a car I n might change my mind 🤷♂️😁
I think you need to start taking your medication again!! lol. Fantastic haul👍
@bradmarlowe8334 i know, i was doing so well. i only bought 4 x £15ish kits during November.
At least it keeps you off the streets lol
Have you hit the 500 kits mark yet? Must be getting close.
@guitarsngoldfish8276 LOL that was a while ago i reckon, no current figure, i reckon i'll do a kit stash vid in February when i reach 1 year on youtube.
