I'm so happy I randomly stumbled on this video and this channel. I am an avid Bourbon drinker/collector, and I'm not originally from Chicago. I'm living here now. I'm glad I have a couple of guides in the Bourbon world! This place looks awesome, btw. I live close by.
Forget the Stagg, those Corazon single barrels were the real find! Old Limestone mixing water 🤔. Evan Williams Single Barrel! Those were good Michter's prices! The small batch bourbon is a great pour! That Sazerac rye handle was awesome! I spotted some other stuff but marked up prices. Can't wait to see the whiskey vault!
You're not wrong! We were tempted to pick up one of those Corazon single barrels, but we'll definitely be back. The limestone water is a really cool idea, but we felt like they missed a branding opportunity by not putting it in a smaller bottle with a dropper. The vault is seriously jaw dropping and honestly overstimulating 😅. Can't wait for you to see it!
@@BondingOverBourbon I almost forgot to mention also that I got called in last months allocated raffle at my local grocery store. I was able to get "The gem of all Buffalo Trace Products, Elmer T Lee!" I even hugged it to my face like you did in the thumbnail for that video! 😂 I'm keeping it Elmer style too, on ice with lemon lime soda! Some people might consider that an atrocity but I'll tell you what! It's a tasty mixed drink for sure! I'm for sure looking forward to seeing the whiskey vault video!
Thanks so much for putting us onto this place! The manager Eddy was very happy to hear that his place came recommended. We think you'll be blown away by the whiskey vault in our part 2 follow-up coming soon.
@@BondingOverBourbon next time you're there, try that 1792 full proof store pick They sold out all the bottles but they still have the sample bottle. May I say better than Stagg 🤫🤭🤯
Love these videos but damn glad for my abc pricing 😂 Got lucky and was in store today and owner had been holding back Stagg and had put some out. Got 2 bottles at $55 each. A welcome addition to the state lottery Stagg bottle I won. Damn that RR10 was amazing price Love your shelver bottle pricing beats the hell out of what I get here. The new Redbreast Missouri Oak limited edition was silly priced. Couldn’t tell if that Glendalough 17 year was $600 or $400. I have both the 25 year & 17 year and it is fantastic but I wouldn’t pay over $300 for it. Really enjoy the Penelope bottle you bought. While the Penelope 9 yr is my favorite I love the BP toasted four grain.
Thanks for watching! There's definitely a trade-off in pricing. When we were in NC, we noticed all the shelfers were $5-10 over the average we see here, but damn near no allocation, and the variety isn't amazing. You guys in ABC states save money on heavy hitter bottles, but they get you on the long-term pricing. Out here, we have to just become regulars and hope that somebody likes you.
@@BondingOverBourbon my store are privately owned so you need to work on relationships as well. In one sense I am lucky as within 90 minutes I can shop 3 states and 2 are controlled states but other state has state run stores and large selection and other is secondary state with great shelver pricing.
Ah! Scotch isn't our strong suit, so we just film it and hope that other people can spot the deals for themselves. After doing some research, it looks like that 20-30% cheaper than most places offer it.
@@BondingOverBourbon That is the cheapest I’ve ever seen it. I’m from Ky so I see all kinds of bourbon. Scotch is scarce here. I appreciate you show all the whiskey.
Not around here. They're about 300 anywhere that it's on a shelf. It's also 3 bottles vs 1, and after trying some of the single barrels, you're missing out. The High West bourbon is a Manhattan finish, and it is absolutely delicious. The Paul John is surprisingly delicious and caught me by surprise. Even the tequilas were solid and worth having.

I’ve got a 14 year Barrell store pick that’s fantastic
14 yr rye pick?

My favorite store ❤
The Elijah Craig small batch is a store pick 6th floor and the private barrel is 9 yr 131 proof 🥃

Great video. If they have some decent store picks that Stagg deal looks pretty good. I'm afraid anything with amburana is an immediate no from me.
You must not have tried this Amburana then! Thanks for watching.
Old elk cigar cut for 80 seems like a good price
We were also tempted by that price
Wow corrywrecken for $89.00. What a deal
