Got the Overholt 11 and all I get is dill. On the nose and the palate. If you hate pickles such as myself, pass on this and get Hard Truth Sweet Mash Rye or JD Barrel Proof Rye. Just sayin what I like as far as my rye journey is in its early stage. Good video guys!
You guys make me so happy by constantly continuing to buy benchmark and ancient age and benchmark. Because they are delicious 🤤. And haven’t gotten to the point of being Tooooooo Good for bottom shelfers. Where can I find Ancient Age 10. In Northern Indiana or Chicago land
Just picked up a Barrell foundation yesterday for $50 here in michigan, my wife grabbed an OF 1920 instead of a 1910 the other day by mistake. Old Overholt 10 or 11 are my 2 bottles at the top of my list. Great Haul 👍 Cheers 🥃
I got my first bottle of Blantons! Im excited to have checked a box in terms of my "first" finer allocated bottle but boy i wouldve killed for an msrp stagg jr. blantons is just low proof for me overall.
@BondingOverBourbon it's a little bizarre just because of the bottle I question... I think I'm in the "overhype" camp on it! It felt really cool however for my binny's bourbon-Sherpa to go "hey kid, I got something for you under my coat in the alley" and bring me in the rare room the moment he saw me!
@@BondingOverBourbon If you werent aware, Whiskey Acres out in Mchenry is dropping their blue popcorn on Dec 6th! I plan on going to snag a couple bottles with my wife
Nice haul! Kentucky Owl, a love-hate relationship. The Confiscated had a wonderful nose but none of it followed through to the palate and its price point was just wrong. $40 juice in a $80 glass bottle, in my opinion. Nice score on the Coy Hill and the Pappy 20! My area's raffles are currently ongoing with drawings this coming weekend except for two other stores, one will end middle of December and the other in early January. Pappy 23, Pappy 20, Pappy 15, 13 Rye, multiple Lot B 12, multiple ORVW 10, WLW, GTS, Handy, Sazerac 18, Coy Hill, Four Roses LE, Michter's 10 bourbon and Michter's 10 rye. There's a fair amount of mid-tier bottles available as well. Woodman's had their raffle already but it is only for Wisconsin residents. It's the tri-state area here, lots of people from Minnesota and Iowa do their shopping at the Onalaska Woodman's. That boosts their allocation but they don't extend the courtesy back. They do however have the lowest prices for shelfers and that's the only reason I frequent the store. I don't have high hopes already. I chat with the managers every chance I can and even over just the weekend there were already people trying to take entry slips out of the store to make copies (you have to ask for a slip), people attempting to fill out multiple entry slips per day (it's supposed to be once per each entry day), people dropping off slips for "family members" (you can only enter yourself each day), etc. The stores have been well aware of these shenanigans for years and they have made changes to try and police it but it hasn't really made much of an impact. My guess is it will be the usual suspects hoovering almost everything up and I'll see these same bottles magically listed on the forums/groups/discord for 4-10x what they paid. Greed has gutted the joy and fun right out of whiskey.
The number of hoops that people are willing to jump through for some of these bottles is both impressive and a little sad at times. We'll have to check out that store, though. We're going to need more shelfers eventually.
@@BondingOverBourbon Unfortunately it's the circumstances I have to put up with in my area if I want any allocated bottles. Every so often I can take an extended road trip to either the Twin Cities or down to Chicago. However, I have no idea what I may or may not find when I'm there.
@@BondingOverBourbon They'll have to be worth it this next time. Total bust on all four allocated raffles. Then I saw the facebook posts from the local whiskey group. A few select individuals walked away with multiple bottles, one from each of the raffles. If that isn't salt in the wound I don't know what is.
Great video and awesome haul! Really dig me some Wheel Horse bourbon and rye. Is that cask strength cigar blend in our market? Where can I score me a bottle!?
@BondingOverBourbon no I would like to have that. They don't have it in my area. Neither the 90 or the 10 star but I'm glad you got at least the 90. I only get the 80 ancient age
Did you make it to Ayra’s other location it’s not as big as the Oak Creek store but it offers the same great selection in Racine see you at the raffle and I’m pretty sure the Wisconsin Bourbon Bros will be there
Awesome selection. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching @alittleoldfashion
Wow. Great job hunting! If you put in the time and effort, good things will happen. Glad you were rewarded. Cheers
We appreciate the kind words. Now it's time to over-correct the budget and cut down on our spend 💸
Another great vid! Thank you guys.

What's on your list?
I’m going to crack my RY3 and smoke a cigar around Christmas
Hell yeah! I'd join you in spirit if we're weren't going to be in Vegas for Christmas
Nice video. Great bottle pick ups! I'm still looking for the Blue Note Bourbon Honey. I want the Wheel Horse Cigar Blend! 😢
Word is the Wheel Horse bottles are starting to drop. Keep your 👀 peeled

They're super tasty! Ancient Age 10 star doesn't really get distribution out here. It's really only available in the south.
Coy 🤤 Hill 🤤
Nice Haul. Mitchers 10 is my top bottle that I'm hunting right now. Congrats
Thanks! We hope you find it 🙏

Congrats! Stagg is definitely some of the better stuff out on the market. How does it feel to grab something harder to find than your usual bottles?
