- I stopped at a couple liquor stores in DC. Amazing selection, less than amazing prices. Still found a couple good deals though!

Dude, it was crazy 😆. I guess people shop there but I'm def not their target market. I think it's for tourists and people with unlimited budget who like to put Pappy in their old fashioneds.
I’m sure their target customers are lobbyists, politicians, and foreign dignitaries. Gotta grease the palms in DC.
Rather absurdly, since they’re right next to the Four Seasons hotel, they did 8 figures in sales last year

Really liked your other DC store video, that was unique and I watched the whole thing, started looking for a Widow Jane Decadence after lol. Can you interview Blake about how Seelbach's is able to do what they do and how challenging it was to build?
Thanks man! I had much more fun making that video but I'm still trying to figure out what people want to watch. That Decadence was awesome! I'm not sure if Blake will take my calls but I'd love to talk to him! If you guys keep watching, hopefully soon I'll have enough clout to interview Blake and other interesting people in the whiskey game.

I’m looking for a Russell 13 and will be in the area. What’s the cheapest price you’ve seen one? Are there any other good grabs you’ve seen?
DC is tough. Odds are if you see a Russell's 13 it will be $350+. The one I have I got at a VA ABC drop last year. Maybe VA will have a drop while you're in town and we can both grab a Russell's 15! How much did you pay for your PT?
More than is reasonable for a bottle of whiskey but less than I see them selling for. It was a little under 400.

Yea I felt the same way. I hear stories of people paying 250-300 but who knows if that's true. I've never seen one that low. But thanks for making me feel better! I was prepared for some trolling lol
I bought two PTs up in NH. MSRP for a 9 year is 350, 10 years go for 400. Not sure what the MSRP is on the 8 years, but under 400 is still a great deal. People ask over 1000 for them!
Bourbon Concierge is honestly a waste of time. I feel bad for anyone who spends money in that store. It's fun if you want to go in and see cool bottles but the prices on everything in there are ridiculous. If you haven't checked out DMV spirits, I'd recommend that place. It's just off Mass Ave in NW on the other side of American University. Best prices I've personally seen in DC.
My last hunting video was at DMV spirits. My favorite store to hang out at for sure!

Don’t sleep on that Bardstown Foursquare collab. It’s delicious. $140-$150 is about where I see them in Ky. Smooth rum and tobacco leaf. Real solid.
I will definitely try one soon. Bardstown and Foursquare, it can't not be good.
It’s alcohol and why does that store have all those bottles no one in their right mind would pay that price for whiskey.
I guess if you want to keep all those bottles in stock you have to charge a price almost no one will pay. But I guess some people shop there since they're able to keep the lights on. Whoever pays those prices is the reason the market is where it is 😕
Washington DC has different rules. Money doesn't matter to their clientele. Imagine if you wanted to influence a senator... you know you can go to that store and find a bottle to do it.

Honest opinion. Everything I have from willett is not that good. It’s a pass for me
I cracked it the other day. It’s good, it’s different, but definitely not worth the price. Although I didn’t figure it would be.
