- Hello Everyone, Today we Restored the antique butcher's knife into a good looking Dagger. I got this knife from my elder brother's junkyard i insisted him to let me restore it and i surprised him giving a restored and good looking dagger like knife. We really did alot of hardwork on this butcher's knife and the finishing view of this restored knife is really enchanting.
And badly i did not take a good pic of old knife for thumbnail so that's way i used patch tool to make some more rusty and attractive.
The finishing view seems like a King's Dagger. I am still wonder that i made that pretty knife.

Brass is not easy to cast as like the aluminium but brass needs alot of temperature to melt down we can use our home made furnaces for melting brass. IF you to make your own furnace you can see our another project video about how to make metal melting furnace:

Brass Almost melts at 900°C to 940°C.Using your Homemade Furnace. While melting brass wear safety masks to avoid zinc fumes. Also Remember to wear other SAFETY stuff during casting Metal because safety is first priority.
It was totally rusted so i removed the rust with the help of DILUTE sulphuric acid. Dilution was compulsory for reaction with iron.
Remember that use the acid with complete safety and having complete information because ACIDS are not playing liquids MUST wear safety or rubber gloves and keep outside all the procedure while you are using the acid because alot of gases fumes releases while the reaction takes place.

So many people complaining about the metal handles but I think it’s actually cool that he is doing something different to usual. You can find heaps of videos of people restoring knives to have normal wooden handles but like he does something creative with different processes so just chilllll
Maddie Hopkins most people use or flip the recreated knives/blades they make. Wood is just overall a better material. Lighter, Cheaper and (in an opinion type of stance) a better aesthetic.
props to him for doing something different, but it is apparent that either he makes showroom knives or he just enjoys impractical knives
Plus I really like this one for some reason
Wow your the only person I have seen be positive about the metal handles I agree
Metal handels are electricity conductive are you for real ?
Maddie Hopkins I think he does that so the handle last longer
Looking through the comments, i saw more people talking about the people complaining than i saw complaining
Often the owner of the channel will go through and delete comments. Wonder if that's what happened here. He does have a crazy amount of dislikes.
Actually, there seems to be more people complaining about people complaining about people complaining than both people complaning about people complaining and people complaining put together.

Guys this person has done all of this work and has given his time to do this and you are hating on him cause of metal handle
If only it was his ONE terrible handle... Every time he do shit, and it's painful to see that(
Ikr certain people are so weird nowadays
While the handle is a bit of a gripe to me at this point (especially since it seems he doesn't fill up the gap entirely, which has to be uncomfortable as hell to hold). My main issue is the fact that he apparently doesn't temper his blades which is ridiculously dangerous.
Binyam Amarebeh I hate metal handles
I LOVE the handle. I just want the handle. I want all the handles.
There is something calming about seeing something that most people would throw away as junk get restored to usefulness.
I gotta watch these restorations before bed, they get me so sleepy

Butcher's knife
*tests it with an apple*
i guess there are some vegan butchers out there who will really appreciate this knife
Also, who cuts an apple like that?!
He could’ve gotten a live pig and cut its insides out but I don’t think that would be very marketable

💯 Briliant Works👏👌
@Random Hands, if you're a beginner in knife making/restoring, job well done, but (just for the future projects to be so much better) if you're already using powertools, pay more attention to the detail, especially when it comes to handles, make it more symmetric, more precisely cut and I guarantee, your work will receive so much more appreciation and support for the next projects :)
I also restore/reedge/sharpen old knives... old enough to be rusty at least. I like the brass handles you do. I'm gonna try that. Nice work.
Please don’t split the bosses. Keep them solid and bore them out to fit over the tang. They’ll come out better, I promise.

Juan Solo how do u temper the knife?
Juan Solo yeah. What is tempering? It has been mentioned a few times in all of the comments.
@@Cerberus03 heating it up and cool it down fast in Oil, it makes the steel hard so the knife can hold an edge longer.

the fact that you can slap together a handle in pieces that looks like a disaster and then turn it into something great takes a special kind of mind - most people can see a finished product but it's how you get there that's unique. Great project.
You do some amazingly beautiful work from the restoration of the blade to the development of the handles ! I’d love to see you do a Japanese chef knife set, I’d love to see your take on the style!

"Do the same process for almost 3 times." You mean 2 times then? Or 2 and a half?

Beautiful, most people think once something gets rusty throw it away, big mistake.
Just use white vinegar to derust. Its safe and it works.
Phosphoric acid is the best it's strong and it doesn't attack the metal
This is so satisfying to watch.
great effort and perfect output
Great video. I personally wouldn't spend so much effort on the handle on a restoration. Keep that part simple.
@Elijah snapp , restoration is just making an old piece usable again. He did a great job at that part for sure. He wasn't creating a new piece from scratch. Give credit where due.

It’s for disposing of the bodies he’s killed using the knife.
It looks amazing! I love the handle
Amazing!!!👏👍
It's Soo close to being an amazing knife. So much hard work, kudos for that but why put so much into it just to leave it rough?
Most of these videos are by ppl that just started making videos. More props to them for putting in effort to record and make videos. It just makes me really upset they get so famous for doing sub-standard work.
He left tons of corrosion on the tang under the wood, and dimensionally ruined the knife by free hand grinding the piss out of it.
But it's shiny now, so like and subscribe. Lol

That's basically a completely different knife...the serrated edge was gone, the sharp thing st the end of the handke was gone, and you heated it up (quenched it and the sand thing) which basically completely changed it.
Stop hateing

Yeah. But you can use it now
He had to work with what he got. It was useless when he started and now ita atleast useable.

So...like, 2 times?
*almost*
No 2.9 times, I guess.
no you do it twice & then you're about to do it the 3rd time & then you're like "mhh no"
Just do it twice and half-ass it the third time. That's gonna be almost 3 times. XD
Came to comments for this
This man didn’t give the blade a distinct bezel and just left out the serrated parts. What is that handle? Since when is a restoration turning the original into something completely different?
Exactly my thoughts.
there was no serated part ...except for that put there with a hammer trying to cut god knows what. that knife had been used hard, the spine showed the impact of a mallet or hammer

Good job mate, it looks good. You could have sanded more of the sides off the knife but it does the job.
If I were u. I more prefer antler handle😏👍🏻👍🏻
So he never tempered the knife after hardening? I'd love to see this thing do a nice heavy chop down on a cutting board. Bet it wouldn't last more than three decent impacts.

You should take into consideration the shape of the tang before you decide on a handle. A properly shaped handle would have made this a lot better. Overall it's alright but the handle really kills it.

kind of looks janky and half assed. you didn't line up the brass very well or make the blade look very uniform. its creative but you could have done better if you took more time
It doesn't really take much more time doing it properly!
