Yea
YESSSSSSSSSS that would be awesome! Love your work !
My new hobby is watching other people's hobby!
Yup.
XDXDXD
ye it's the way forward. I now am heavily into carpentry and boat building without having to get off my fat arse
Well... I think we are alike*.
Hahahah gud
Black effect on the blade was neat!
He puts more effort to a rusted tool than my father to my family
cheesecake dude damn..
Don't say that man after all he's your father he knows what's best for you and your family
UH OH...Daddy issues!
ROB-IN-PHILLY is it funny tho?
@@lordfencepanel8666 Isn't everything?
All that and we didn't even get to see him cut a tomato real thin. There are rules to these things lol
it's probably because an ANGLEGRINDER won't give you a solid edge
@@ElseeKay oh it can, you just have to not suck
thats a cleaver probably doesnt have a thin enough angle for precise thin cuts but more of an obtuse one for cracking bones and edge retention.
Awsm job man.. Some texture on the aluminium part of handle would have eleviated the looks and grip.!!
Best one.
Thoroughly amazing. As someone who couldn't cut a straight line to save his life I watch this in awe
Haha

LOVE your knife restorations!! I like your knife restorations even more than your sword restorations-it’s so nice to see something old and rusty be turned into something fresh and useful. Whenever I have trouble sleeping I put on one of your videos and I’m instantly relaxed. Thank you for your amazing work!
Absolutely beautiful! Always amazing projects
Awesome work and I like the fact that you used a different metal from brass which seems to be your favorite. Don't get me wrong, brass looks great too. I enjoyed your video, thank you.
I love it. These videos it's enough for relax for afternoon... And when you want 😍😘
¡Estupendo trabajo de restauración...! Saludos desde Honduras.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I really liked the colour set up on that friend well done.
What a stunning chopper!! Lovely work.
Wood part of the handle looks great, love the finish on the blade. Nice
That’s too beautiful to keep in the kitchen. Wow.
Honestly, I kinda find the Japanese restoration videos a bit more interesting since they don't use too many machines in the restoration process.
But hey, this is pretty cool too.
I know what you mean. It's interesting to see the different methods used. I've been watching a bunch of the Japanese ones, and this started the same until there was suddenly an angle grinder.
This is more satisfying to watch
@@lenkaido1357 Okay, your opinion...I respect it.
Could you please refer me to some of those channel so I could check it out? I've only found documentaries of Japanese swordsmiths doing their craft, but I was wondering if there were any blacksmiths with a TH-cam channel like this one.
@@rafaelfranceschetti3428 宝創るちゃんねるATENALES is a channel I've been watching a lot lately. I don't think most of the restoration channels I've started following quite fall into the category of blacksmithing, but it's fascinating to see all the various techniques. I never would have expected to enjoy watching people sandblasting things, for example. The channel I just mentioned does everything manually with almost no use of power tools. Another whose name I can't think of polishes everything, down to nuts and bolts, and it's all so beautiful!
Unbelievable creation of a piece of art. Most beautiful piece of cutlery I have ever seen. Thank you for a great video.
Love the handles you guys make! I like them much more than other restoration channels. Keep it up!
Me too just love em
Not to be rude, but this the best looking one you've made! They're all good, but this one is my fave. Excellent work, sir!
saw this in a tasty vid
Red eyes
How is that rude?
@@legoatjagoat4691 just that I picked one of favorite ones. Because there are all good!
"How dare you imply that not all of my product are perfect!"
Looks pretty good, and i also like the fact that u coloured the blade so it's not always just the same. :D keep it up!
Very good restoration I like the handle and how you darken the blade you will get allot of use chopping up meat, vegies, and fruit......
Thanks for the spread of Mistry’s (Carpenters)
You did a great job, and used some very interesting techniques both with chemicals and castings.
Am I the only one who gets irked when they dont wear gloves with these projects? Protect your hands man!
Many_Lives You don’t wear gloves when using rotary tools and lots of other machinery. You’d risk it getting caught and pulling you in
Especially when it said, "Highly Corrosive."

He is probably more comfortable working without gloves in which case he may rarely be susceptible to be injured.
He has insurance so "he's in good hands" 😁
Yes! Omg yes!!!! You nailed it!!!! I love it.
It's beautiful. It's definitely a craft to be proud of.
This is actually your best knife. Congrats!!!
Much Beautiful than a brand new factory made knife.❤️
It's actually more beautiful, not much beautiful.
Great comment regardless.
Thank you @Aid -
The Amount Of Skills You Have Used here Is Amazing!!! And Such A Finish Shows Us what A Great Thing This Blade And Handle Is Stunning Worked Details Its Beautiful Thankyou!!!
Absolutely gorgeous!!
cleavers are near and dear to me, you did some odd things but i love how you did it without modifying the blade at all
I don’t care how you get these things I’m just amazing at how good at it you are
Beautiful job. Nothing sweeter than a beautiful blade.
This is also a symbol that dedication and improvement can bring overwhelmingly positive results
yes
Good job. You got the handle right on this one.
That knife will crack, after the hardening process you have to temper the metal to give it flexibility. Put the knife into an oven at 180 degrees celsius for an hour and a half, this is enough to temper it though you can alternatively use an open flame on clean metal so as to see the colour change. The metal will go a wheat/gold colour along the blade and if a flame is used the handle will remain silver. Between the handle and the blade, the metal will be blue if this is done correctly. After this process, you can continue the restoration however you please, even blacken the metal. In its current state however, the metal is hard enough to crack if dropped.
As soon as i saw the quenching and then the polishing i looked for a comment to see if i missed the tempering process
For sure especially if he tries to use it as a chopper (which I believe it’s a cleaver?)
@@eriktheginger99 Exactly right. As soon as it's used for it's intended purpose, I would put money on it cracking
@@1986Faruq He definitely did. I just really hope he doesn't try to use it to cut hard wood
It's a cleaver not an axe though.
I love the tapping when they speed the video up
The black and silver really looks gorgeous. You choose this colour scheme well. Makes it look expensive
In my not so humble opinion, I think this qualifies as art.
Great video. I am your fan. i love you
ummmmm
wholesome
That is breathtakingly gorgeous
Wow! Your best one yet!! Beautiful! 🤩
Such a great work! Congratulations!
Andreza Bosso hey you looks sexy
Looks awesome! Thank you for not using brass on this one.

~~~ WOW ~~~ Amassing Job. Well done.
Dude you should totally start creating these masterpiece by yourself..
drew13600 hold up so you're saying that cleaver he made it by himself previously?
This video is so real that I can even smell the burnt metal !!
Fake video
Now that is an amazing knife! Great job!!!!!!!
I absolutely love your work!
Your work is beautiful, so much nicer to restore than replace. Keep up the good work.
You should restore your hacksaw as well.
He needs a new one to restore it, and there you already have a new one. Lol
Can’t stop my self from watching ,, So satisfying
Very good blade. Black is beautifully shining. Good job! !
Make your own I bet it would look awesome!
Like so he sees this!
BBC: Beautiful, black cleaver.
Wow, amazingly good job.
Magnificent work! Beautiful job! It was a joy to watch the transformation from a rusty tool to a piece of artwork!
Use tru oil on the wood next time. Its great stuff.
LOL people will complain about everything. Wish I could do this kind of stuff. Well job
Schön,einfach nur schön!!! Es fasziniert mich immer zu sehen das es Menschen gibt die ihre Finger nicht nur zum Nasebohren benutzen!!!!Klasse!
By far the nicest handle you've made yet
Is this like visual asmr for anyone else ? These time lapses restoration videos put me to sleep! Great video though lol
Can you make a restoration of titanic ? 😀👍👍
That's popping ham hard amazing skill set really
There is something really really really special about this guy. I watch a new video and with each one I become so relaxed from my day to day thoughts It is epic man. Thanks from one human being to another for all your craft and fun videos. Jim
No music
I would have kept the wood natural, just oiled.. but that's personal preference.. shape and material of the handle a perfect fit for the now lovely blade.. compliments!
Who else watches this late at night just cuz, or is it just me, cuz..😂its like 4am and this my 4th vid🤣🤣
Nice to see that you take the time to re-harden (and temper) the blade so it can perform its best.
Best work yet bro!
This sounds like asmr
Yeah it does
Hi. My question is , what kind of liquid (acid ?) did you put the metal at the beginning to clean from the rust ?
Great job. I wish I were as steady with an angle grinder as you are. I gave up even doing rough stock removal because I always slip and cut places I didn't want to cut.
A work of art. U should be really proud.
Hey have you ever restored a katana? That’d be amazing
will try soon
Random Hands Don’t feel that you have to that’d be cool though
I love your videos😍
Wow that cleaver was beat up! Very nice Restoration!
It is great sometimes, admiring other people's work. Awesome job!!!
Your ideas and methods to achieve them are unique. Keep it up and your fit and finish will improve. Always strive to make your next project 100 times better than your last.
That was just amazing.
I like the burnt wood. Just what my grandpa used to do to his stuff. Makes things look so cool.
After disliking 20 videos in a row i am in love with this video👌
You know, I was always interested why they called it “dry sanding” is there wet sanding? Paste sanding? And the research for wet sanding was actually really interesting how it “floats” away all the particles that have been sanded off. But I still don’t understand why we don’t just wet sand everything if it seems more efficient.
kellen liame well we have dry sanding because things like wood shouldn’t really be wet sanded.
Some master craftsmanship on display! Well done!
Wow amazing way to restore a cleaver.
