I was an angry metal kid when this song came out. I listened to this non-stop. It was my personal anthem for years. I haven’t heard it in a couple of years and man, it still rocks!!!!
Same here. I first heard it on a live cassette back in like 1991 or something like that, but with Helloween not being a big hit in the US, I couldn't ever find anything else by them so I lost track of them until a few years ago when I found out they "reunited". This song still is an anthem for me.

Alright my babies.... You've just earned The Righteousness Award 🏆‼️ I seen this band open up for two other bands, in Oakland, California on the first MTV Headbangers Ball tour‼️🔥🥁🎸🎤🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Thank you so much for doing Helloween. This one is the most played song here in the states besides Halloween. They have an amazing catalog of music. They are the Godfathers of European Power Metal. Do more Helloween Please! Love what you guys do! Huge fan!
I FINALLY crossed these guys off my bands to see live bucket list this year. Not only the best concert I've been to this year but one of the best shows I've ever attended. One of those shows I never wanted to ever end. IF you ever go back to these guys you should check out a song from their most recent album called "Best Time"! Not only the sound of the song but the message and vibe of it I think would be right up your alley.
Saw Helloween back in 89 or 90 with Exodus and Anthrax, was a great show. March of Time, Rise and Fall, Dr. Stein, Future World and Eagle Fly Free are all great songs by them. Mike Kiske is a fantastic singer, sounds exactly the same live as he does on albums.
Great reaction! Helloween is a German a "Power Metal" band and the lead singer's name is Michael Kiske, a very popular metal vocalist from this genre. I have another suggestion...Want to hear a popular Japanese metal band from the 80's? You need to check out the band, 'Loudness' and listen to the videos of either 'Crazy Nights' (HD version) or 'Let It Go' (Remastered)'. The guitarist from Loudness is considered the Japanese "Eddie Van Halen" by many. Cheers!
The godfather of european power metal!!!! Michael Kiske , the singer , had a large scales in his voice , Kai Hansen, the pink guitarist and first singer of the band had make great tunes for the band and for his own band Gamma Ray, another german power metal . Great history!!!!!
At this point in time of the band, Helloween was : • Michael Kiske = vcoals • Michael Weikath = guitars • Kai Hansen = lead guitar and vocals - Hansen was also lead vocalist before Kiske, on the debut release : an eponymous EP in 1985, and full album, Walls Of Jericho and standalone single Judas (was not on the WOJ album, and was not released til several months after WOJ) in 1986 - their heaviest stuff at the time) • Marcus Großkopf (Grosskopf) = bass • Ingo Schwichtenberg = drums This song is from the 1988 album Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II, which followed Part I (released in 1987). Keeper was supposed to be a double album but the record label said no (due to some contractual technicalities or whatever - just more power-trippin corporate bullsh*t), and forced them to releases the material as 2 separate volumes. It wasn't even a balanced split ; Part I only clocked in at around 37 minutes with 7 tracks (or 8, if you consider the introduction track separate), while Part II was over 55 minutes and 8 tracks (or, again, 9, if you consider the opening intro track to stand on its own). Part I features their epic almost-14-minute song Halloween, and Part II has the title track which also runs nearly the same length (between 13 and 14 minutes). Both are worth a reaction, but AVOID the official video for Halloween ; it has been butchered down to "radio friendly" single-edit format (and a sloppy mix) of a lousy 5 minutes.
Amazing that you've reacted to Helloween! Pure 80's metal🎸🤘 to be honest it always reminds me of Maiden and the voice of the one and only Bruce Dickinson.
Often referred to as the pioneers of the genre "power metal". Hailing from Germany, Helloween have been influential for many bands of the same genre. With Halloween approaching, you should react to more Helloween
So many bangers from Helloween.... Eagle Fly Free, Pumpkins United, Keeper of the 7 Keys (live). Very underrated but still touring today. Kai Hansen i believe still is the lead singer
Michael Kiske is one of my favorite vocalists ever, and back when this song came out I looked enough like him that we could have been mistaken for brothers.
The first concert I ever went to was Helloween opening for Iron Maiden back in '88, and what a concert it was. Mindblowing for a teenager like me at the time! Helloween tend to make quite long masterpieces (Halloween, The King For 1000 Years, Keeper Of The Seven Keys, etc.) which might not suit your channel, but some of the shorter good ones with Michael Kiske on vocals are Dr. Stein, Kids Of The Century, Your Turn, Future World, We Got The Right, A Tale That Wasn't Right & A Little Time.
Keeper of the Seven Keys live from Pumpkins United in Madrid 2017 is a must. All members reunited on the same stage. Allt three singers and three guitarists. Truly amazing.
Michael Kiske was the boy with the silver voice, Helloween’s second singer. Recently they reunited and feature all 3 singers. You can check out the song “How Many Tears” live at Waken to listen to all three singers.
Is "METAL MONDAY" going to be a thing? Because I'm sure a lot of fans would love you make it a thing! Personally would like to hear your reaction to Anthrax and their version of "Bring The Noise"... and "I'm The Man"...
I’ve been a fan of Helloween since 1985. The singer’s name is Michael Kiske and he is, imo, the best singer of any genre. Recommend Eagle Fly Free as the next song of there’s you do a reaction to.
Seen them live last year. Michael Kiske still can sing like before. They have now 3 singers in Helloween, Michael Kiske, Kai Hansen, Andi Deris. Michael Kiske sings this song. The first singer was Kai Hansen who is also guitarist and then Michael Kiske came to sing for 4 albums before they replaced him with Andi Deris. Kai left after the third album. They reunited since 2018.
y'all gotta do Helloween's "Eagle Fly Free" next. Singer is Michael Kiske. This album and the one before it were the blueprint for the European Power Metal sound.

I first found this band from this video being played on MTV on Headbanger's Ball when it first came out. Loved the band immediately. This is off of Keeper Of The Seven Keys - Part 2. For an epic song, try the title track, it's approximately 15 minutes and what a beautiful story it tells. A must for late October is the song Halloween by Helloween.

You could eventually check out these ones: - Accept: "Balls To The Walls", "Fast As A Shark", "Restless And Wild", "Princess Of A Dawn", "Midnight Mover" - Warlock: "All We Are", "East Meets West" - Bonfire: "Sword And Stone", "Ready 4 Reaction", "American Nights", "Hard On Me" - Pretty Maids (a Danish band): "Future World", "Back To Back", "Red Hot And Heavy", "Love Games", "Rodeo", "Hell On High Heels" - TNT (a Norwegian band): "10000 Lovers (In One)", "Everyone's A Star", Intuition" - Gamma Ray: "Heaven Can Wait", "Space Eater"
This is scary, i was listening to this song earlier today from my playlist lol. 😮, Its one of my faves. Always thought the lead vocalist sounds like the lead singer of Iron maiden Bruce Dickinson. 👌 Another band i think youll love guys is Epica and the song called Edge of the Blade. I think you'll love it, it a little different from the usual metal songs. 😎🎶🎵🎸👌
Helloween are a German band that was formed in the early 80's. They are regarded as pioneers of Power Metal and a very influential band for a lot of bands today. Their lead guitarist Kay Hansen and singer Michael Kiske form another band called Gammna Ray that you should also check out.
No, Kai Hansen formed Gamma Ray when he left Helloween, but Michael Kiske remained with Helloween until he was fired in 1993. He was never a member of Gamma Ray (though he did do a guest vocal on one song). Kiske and Hansen were. however, briefly reunited in the 10s in the band Unisonic, before both rejoining Helloween in 2016.
My brother was stationed in Germany while in the army, in his free time he worked with a few rock/metal bands (even filled in on drums now and then), but he met these guys on more than one occasion. He played this band for me, and I was hooked. I finally got to see them in concert on the MTV's Head Bangers Ball tour in 1989 along with Anthrax and Exodus. (it was a complete mosh fest). While the other bands were more popular in the U.S., they did not disappoint.
Halloween got lost in the shuffle. Harem Scarem is another one that was great but wasn’t publicized enough. The song Honestly was a gem. Really tested Harry Hess vocal range. You really need to hear some of Skid Row’s harder stuff like Monkey Business, Youth Gone Wild, Sweet Little Sister or Big Guns. What you have listened to up to date has been soft in comparison
Helloween (note spelling) did not get lost in the shuffle - here in Europe. Here they rank among the most legendary and popular heavy metal bands of all time, and perform to packed houses to this day.
Never thought I would get a Helloween reaction. The pioneers of progressive metal. Michael Kiske is the singers name. He can still sing very well too. Check out Future World, March if Time or Save Us. If you really want experience Helloween's musical brilliance check out the epic Keeper of the Seven Keys title track.
Helloween are the creaters and the fathers of power metal in 84 but when the singer Michael Kiske went to the band in 87 he change the history off the power metal no one sings like him i. That time..... Today power metal is the type of .metal most played whith more bands in the world
Michael Kiske is the vocalist. He was a teen when he recorded this. Ingo Schwitzenburg was the drummer,he sadly committed suicide in the mid 90s partly caused by mental heath. He was an exceptional drummer and the reason i started to play the bass, because if I could have kept up with him then I could have kept up with anyone.
One of my fave bands ever. Back in the 80s i was fortunate enough to meet them having a drink in a back street boozer whilst they were on tour, no one in the pub knew who they were then there is little old me almost peeing my pants with excitement and yes i did get to have a drink with them lol i love anything by Helloween but Dr Steine is my fave 😊 pls react to more of they're songs ❤
"Eagle Fly Free" is another great one from these guys. And anything from Keeper of the seven Keys pt 2....especially live. Regardless of which singer you have they are great. Michael Kiske is the singer on this one. Andi Deris replaced him for a while, until the band reunited a few years ago. They also have another killer vocalist in Kai Hansen (the pink guitarist in this video) he was their original vocalist. Check out their catalog, you won't be disappointed.
Thank you Rob Squad for tapping into more of the 80's metal bands. There's a lot of them. I love bands with dual guitars harmonizing lead together. Helloween is rockin!! They're from Germany as is Scorpions. It was a big genre with lots of countries represented, such as bands like Loudness from Japan, Krokus from Switzerland, Gorky Park from USSR, Helix from Canada to name a few.

Besides Helloween, there are a lot of great European Metal bands from the 80's & 90's. You could eventually check out these ones:
- Accept: "Balls To The Walls", "Fast As A Shark", "Restless And Wild", "Princess Of A Dawn", "Midnight Mover"
- Warlock: "All We Are", "East Meets West"
- Bonfire: "Sword And Stone", "Ready 4 Reaction", "American Nights", "Hard On Me"
- Pretty Maids (a Danish band): "Future World", "Back To Back", "Red Hot And Heavy", "Love Games", "Rodeo", "Hell On High Heels"
- TNT (a Norwegian band): "10000 Lovers (In One)", "Everyone's A Star", Intuition"
- Gamma Ray: "Heaven Can Wait", "Space Eater"
Both Deris and Kiske are in Helloween today. In case you weren't aware 🙂
@@erikthompson619 Yeah, I know it 😎
This is scary, i was listening to this song earlier today from my playlist lol. 😮, Its one of my faves. Always thought the lead vocalist sounds like the lead singer of Iron maiden Bruce Dickinson. 👌
Another band i think youll love guys is Epica and the song called Edge of the Blade.
This was released in 1988 and was my introduction to Helloween. I've been a fan since.
One of the best 80's Metal bands!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻Great band!!! Dr Stein is a lot of fun!!!
their concerts are always full speed ahead...Michael Kiske was one of their best singers 👍👍👍🤘💥
I also recommend : Pink Cream 69!!!!❤
oh my...you guys listening to Helloween...need to see this haha...Michael Kiske on vocals and yes, he rules...
Big yes to Harem Scarem and Honestly! This one - meh.
Their debut-album is awsome. "With a Little Love" and "Something to Say" are my favourites besides "Honestly".
And "Stranger Than Love" on the next album.
His name is Michael kiske
Helloween - Eagle Fly Free
Helloween a great heavy metal band iconic of 80's
Helloween the Father of European Power metal. Keeper of the Seven keys 2 Masterpiece.
Future World another great song by them.
You two are awesome for keeping generations of great music alive 👍
Eagle Fly Free!!! You have to listen to the ridiculous drumming in it!!
Helloween DOES have a (13-minute) song called Halloween, though... why wouldn't they? 😛
Such an amazing band. Just saw them in May 2023... blew me away
WoW!!!! Helloween on your channel....Wow!!! I just saw this band perform in late May this year (2023) and they've grown into a Mega Band.
You definitely need to get deeper into the Helloween discography
Keeper of the seven keys is an epic masterpiece
You need to check out Unisonic's 2012 song... Unisonic! Michael Kiske and Kai Kansen from Helloween being AMAZING! He still has that voice.
One of the best power/speed metal bands ever and they were huge in Europe. And they still exist and make good albums.
I have a Gorky Park vinyl, no one I have ever talked to knows who they are. I really liked them.
@@diceportz7107 - Oh yeah. I remember them vividly from 1989. Pretty cool you have the vinyl!!
Was just listening to Helix a couple of hours ago. Great suggestion.
@@cjpew - Thanks. Yeah about a month ago I jamming to that Wild In The Streets album
Keeper of the 7 keys is awesome
