I absolutely love Michael Kiske's work with Helloween! This song was my anthem through high school.
Hamburg's Best Band and one of the Best of whole Germany. You choosed one of their "Charts Songs"...but check out the more EPIC Ones like HELLOWEEN/KEEPER OF THE SEVEN KEYS/RIDE THE SKY etc.....a lot to react to for sure ;)....and yes,Germans CAN ROCK ! ;) .... Michael Kiske was about 18 Years old when he recorded this Song!.....and yes,he was and still is inspired by Halford!

YUSSS Helloween....the Iron Maiden of Germany!!! One out of the first three bands that got me into metal when I was 10 years old (am 42 now)...the other two being Iron Maiden and Anthrax :D
Hmm. I grew up on Helloween in 1987-1989 when i was introduced to the world of heavy genre ) Their first 3 albums were very influential for all others who cane afterwards )
The mastermind here, Kaj Hansen on lead guitar also has Gamma Ray and Unisonic.

Other songs with Helloween: With Michael(This singer) Keeper of the seven Keys (Loooooooooong epic song) Futureworld, Dr Stein, Wind mill (A Ballad) With Kai (First singer) Ride the sky, Victim of faith, Judas. With Andreas (The "current" singer) Any thing from Masters of the rings album, High Live (Do you like reacting to live videos more ?) Forever and one (Another ballad) Remember I told you in your Gamma Ray video that Kai was "Back in Helloween"? That tour is called Pumpkins United and is a great album with many old songs sung either by Michael, Andreas, or both! I would probably say,: "react to those videos!" But there are so many more songs that are great with them! As always, my dude, a great reaction!

Check out "Ride the Sky" from their first album. It was before they had this lead singer, and the guitar player with the pink guitar (Kai Hansen) was the vocalist. Hansen later quit Helloween and formed Gamma Ray.
"The Dark Ride" is an amazing song with the vocalist AFTER this one. But more recommendations with this singer:

Michael Kiske (The vocalist) has lended his talent with bands like, Avantasia, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon, and Edguy to name a few. If you want to hear another amazing vocalist, check out Shaman - Fairytale. I would go with the studio version first, then live. The vocalist there is Andre Matos. Andre sadly passed away last year, but his music will continue to live on

@@ChrisPage68 Indeed, the production company that worked with both After Forever and Epica back then tasked her with providing some vocal coaching for Floor and Simone and other services to these bands such as management of choirs, backing vocals, sound engineering and so on. She even wrote some lyrics for Epica.

Their 2 keeper albums were the first of the genre that we nowadays call Power Metal. Some say that hundreds of power metal bands try to make albums that are on the same high level than those helloween albums from the 80s.
You seem to have liked Amaranthe so I recommend Cyhra. The vocalist Jake E use to sing the clean vocals in Amaranthe.

Oh Yeah... Michael Kiske was considered among the best at the time. Together With Halford, Dio, Geoff Tate, Dickinson... When Bruce left Iron Maiden in 94, Michael was considered as replacement since he at that time had left Helloween. In 1990 the band took a Whole New direction. Mainly because the "leader" Michael Weikath wanted to try something New. Away was the classic "powermetal" sound and back was something else which wasnt very popular among older fans.
This lead to Hansen and Kiske leaving the band... The rest wasnt very pleased either. The Drummer "mr. Smile" Schwintenberg got some serious drug and alcohol problems, which lead to him being kicked out of the band... and in 1995 he commit suicide after suffering With depression for years…
The old and New guys got together last year for a anniversary tour under the name "pumpkins United"
These guys have tons of great hits, personal favorites are dr stein and hocus pocus

His type of singing is not the same as Halford since it s not all in falcetto but more hybrid combination of twaining head voices and chest pull wich is more solid in my opinion ! But Rob Halford is a legend and a pioneer and still got it !

Man I haven't heard these guys in forever.i listened to Keeper of the seven keys and keeper of the seven keys 2 albums for months on end. I must of worked on keeper of the 7 keys for 6 weeks (guitar) before finally getting through it mistake free. I probably dont remeber even half of it now lol.
