Such a rabbit hole Zoe. as others have said basically they are the biggest influence on power metal. You like Lovebites and these guys were a big influence on them. How many Tears is one of their earliest songs and all 3 vocalist trade off. First singer was the guy playing the red guitar, Kai Hansen, then the bald guy, Michael Kiske, then Andy Deris. In 2017 all wars stopped and for the fans all the old members joined to form the ultimate version of Helloween. Imagine the egos that had to be put aside. For pure vocals Forever and One.
@@Lonestar1430 Weikath had issues with Kiske, and Kai. In an interview one thing Kai said was there was never an issue with him and Markus. You watch that whole show nobody is having more fun that Kai maybe Markus and Andi are close.
The "bald guy" may have a little drive & delay on the vocs. So does Andi Deris ;) That's common for high-pitched vocals. But nothing voice-altering and no pitch correction as both clearly aiming for fun over perfection here, missing some minor tones here and there.
From the U.S.A.. I wouldn't categorize them as Glam Metal but Heavy Metal, but what's in a name. They are from Germany. The bald singer is Michael Kiske and the one with long hair is Andi Deris. Other great songs are How Many Tears, Future World, Halloween, and Forever and One to name a few.
Amazing thanks Mark! Glam Metal, Power Metal it is all Metal with a melody in my opinion 😉 although purists I am sure would beg to differ. I'll take a look thanks !
Very nice video, I Want Out is a hit, but i think is not a good song for Vocal analisys, and they were in the end of a 3hrs show. Keeper of the Seven Keys from Pumpkins United DVD is what you need to hear. We got the Right is a super song too, like March of Time. Unisonic - Exceptional from Michael Kiske e really cool as well.
Well... I'm a simple guy...I read "...reacts to Helloween" and I click "like". They are the grandfathers of European power metal. You should listen to "Halloween" or "Keeper of the seven keys" from that same tour, both songs are more than 13 Minute but it is worth it.
The song title also got me a bit puzzled, but perhaps she just wanted to express she liked the song so much that she wants to hear more of Helloween? In addition to this, there's a typo in the picture: it should be "Halloween" instead of "Haloween".
@@pepejulianonziema8427 well you can see by the voice color and passages in the voice and easily tell who is a tenor and who is a baritone. Geof Tate used very twagy , aka might( head dominant ) mix to reach high notes, that is unhealthy, and very often results results in a lose of an upper register. Similar case is Steven Tayler, he had surgery to restore his voice, and probably vocal lessons to sing more properly. Geof is still doing fine in the mid 4th octave. Which for a baritone shouldn’t be that easy, since for that he is using a full chest and don’t struggle, for baritone it already high, either belt or mix. Tate might be actually a dramatic tenor. Though many call him a baritone, a haven’t listen him to much to jusge. Kiske is a lyric, tenor maybe, which is the most common tenor type. For a Kiske literally nothing suggests that he is a baritone, he lives in a tenor range, also his voice is light, his low nots are struggled, even when he speaks it is clear that he has a high voice. Where do people come with those generalizations? Copare Kiske to a real baritone, fe Frank Sinatra or a Jhony Cash, if you can not hear the difference idk. For tenor up to g#4 should be pretty effortless, middle range, for a baritone everything above Eb4 is upper range. Kiske connected Eb5s and so, baritone can not do that. Reach up for the light, Wacken 2011. Despite old has all his range, also a sign of a naturally high voice, and his tehnique was never perfect, he is self taught, and if he didn’t have natural abilities he would definitely destroy his voice by now. Who is then a tenor? If he is not
@@pepejulianonziema8427 and tenors can sing low, just not with a power and strength and warm tone that baritones have, it is just where tenors do not feel comfortable, ao in Opera roles were written down to c3 for a tenors, but tenors can go lower. Also with mic and a effects, gain etc tenor can sound much better while singing low then in real life without equipment
Nice analysis of this song, you should react to other songs from this band , all live from Waken live, keeper of the seven keys, how many tears, Halloween, and the guy playing the red guitar in this video is Kay Hansen one of the founding members of the band, and the first vocalist, watch this video Kay's medley, Waken live. he sings songs from the first album.
I also would've never heard of them if my older cousin wasn't a 90s kid 😁 I guess you've never heard of them because they never got the recognition outside of Germany back then - bands like Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray or Edguy gained more traction.
On Europe they're pretty known, but they never made on the US, for example. By the way, and now that you mention them, Kai Hansen, founder of Gamma Ray, was on the stage too, he is the guy with the red guitar. He was one of the founding members of Helloween. He founded Gamma Ray after leaving Helloween.
Greetings and Love from Germany 💚 my first video of you. I searched for Helloween reactions and came across you. I'm a Maiden, Helloween, Gary Moore maniac since 1985. The bald🤣 singer, you called him, Michael Kiske, was sick. Here's what he said in a Magazine Interview bout that. Bout rumors...On the lip synching playback comtrovery when the tour first started Kiske: "It was not all playback. I'm quite glad I did it once because I never done anything like that and I am certainly not going to do it anymore because I can't, it just doesn't work. The situation was I had an infected throat already before the first show. I wanted to skip the shows and the management said we cant start this tour with cancelling shows. So they talked me into it, the whole band made that decision and then management came to me and said Michael we have recordings of you from six weeks earlier, it was recording we did in some rehearsal and they said you just go out and sing and if the sound guy sees you are losing your voice he will sneak the playback track in. I didn't want to do it but I said i will give it a try. I'm so used to singing live of course so I messed it up. I pulled the microphone to the audience when the sound guy had my voice out there. I did it cause they talked me into it. We only did a few bits here and there. I am not going to do that anymore. the next time when I don't have a voice I will either cancel the show or I do it the way I can." So, thanx and i hope there's moore Helloween to come. Have a peaceful X-Mas time together with your family and a healthy new year, my dear....from Köln/Cologne... all the best 🌈✌🐾💚🌻
Glam metal is understandable mistake. This is not a proper power metal tune like Eagle or How many tears (practically thrash). The unforgivable mistake is that bald guy is high larynx and long haired guy is low larynx…exactly opposite sound results. The long hair guy is screechy high larynx even busting into falseto on eee or oooo vowels, where as bald guy tilts to close the eee and ooos like opera guys, very robust closed chords. I just saw them live and bald guy is twice the volume, and am not talking about mic levels. Probably the engineers have to reduce gain on bald guy, you can tell by the talking of both. By the way the guitar player also sings as good as the other two, all three share vocal leads in the show. It is like hearing the difference between halfford, Dickinson, and Tate, on the same tunes. Bald guy never screams or breaks falsetto (like dickenson remains focused chords sound wise) and the others do like halford scream or crack as they please. EDIT: forgot, the sound volume on stage is ridiculous loud and would be bleeding into those mics even with gates on. They have to move the mic very close to the lips for low pitch’s and talking. This is not like in a bar or something 😂

"Imagine the egos that had to be put aside" Specially between Hansen and Weikath...
@@Lonestar1430 Weikath had issues with Kiske, and Kai. In an interview one thing Kai said was there was never an issue with him and Markus. You watch that whole show nobody is having more fun that Kai maybe Markus and Andi are close.
@@jamesgreen5431 Yes, I know they ended in quite bad terms... More or less as Dave Mustaine and Metallica
Thank you James! I'll take a look.
Helloween have been defined as Speed Metal, Power Metal and even as Happy Metal 😁
ive learned two things tonight. helloween is glam rock, and kiske uses effect on his voice. never knew that....
Thanks Hugo! I'll take a look. 🙂
Well... I'm a simple guy...I read "...reacts to Helloween" and I click "like". They are the grandfathers of European power metal. You should listen to "Halloween" or "Keeper of the seven keys" from that same tour, both songs are more than 13 Minute but it is worth it.
Sascha thank you! 🥰 I will take a look ! I am still under the weather so I am taking a second week off but next week I'll be back on it!
Oh...get well soon. 🍀
This is Power Metal....
Liked and subscribed.
The bald guy (Michael Kiske) is on my Mount Rushmore of metal vocalists, along with Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Ronnie James Dio.
im from sweden i love helloween
It’s not glam rock. It’s sacrilege to consider Helloween as such. 😂😂 It’s power metal. Thanks for reacting to this. I enjoyed it very much.
I just went down a rabbit hole and ended up watching this, and had to come to the comments to say the same thing. Lolz
Hallo Zoe, kann es sein das der Titel eigentlich I want out heißt?
The song title also got me a bit puzzled, but perhaps she just wanted to express she liked the song so much that she wants to hear more of Helloween? In addition to this, there's a typo in the picture: it should be "Halloween" instead of "Haloween".
@@MissLoonasSpeech Open the "show more" and scroll down, it is I want out.
If you like this you have to check out forever and one and a tale that wasn't right by helloween but it has to be live .
Thanks Wayne I will!
A reaction to Keeper of the Seven Keys from the pumpkin united would be amazing!
He Michael kiske, is that good.
i have not heard a really solid suck eggs in a very long time... thank you!
I am not sure what on earth that means....
Bald dude Kiske is a tenor, for other dude long hair Deris they say he is a baritone, though I think he is tenor too
Kiske is not a tenor
@@pepejulianonziema8427 he is like a textbook tenor, if he is not a tenor none is
@@macakucizmama831 Then do you think Geoff Tate is a tenor too?
Обалденно! Отличный отзыв. С уважением из России.
I also would've never heard of them if my older cousin wasn't a 90s kid 😁 I guess you've never heard of them because they never got the recognition outside of Germany back then - bands like Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray or Edguy gained more traction.
Really? I think it had a lot to do with my parents mainly listening to Neil Diamond and Celine Dion 🤣
Efeito in microfone . Kiske? Are you completely crazy.....😮😮😮😮
Bout rumors...On the lip synching playback comtrovery when the tour first started
Kiske: "It was not all playback. I am not going to do that anymore. the next time when I don't have a voice I will either cancel the show or I do it the way I can."
So, thanx and i hope there's moore Helloween to come. Have a peaceful X-Mas time together with your family and a healthy new year, my dear....from Köln/Cologne... all the best 🌈✌🐾💚🌻
Love your shaved hair!!!
Glam is it's "favorite" type of metal. Favorite.
Helloween.
Lol 👍
the song “keeper of the seven keys”. thank me later.
What a band.......what a singers.........only Bruce Dickinson can Sing at this level........and Fabio Lione ( ex Rhapsody of fire)
Amazing band!
Eric Adams can do without any question!
A little known and underrated band to checkout is Rawhead Rex.
Ooooo I don't know them...... will do.
If you liked this you should do a reaction to Out For The Glory, from Helloween's last album 😝
Long haired guy many classify as a baritone, while bald one is a tenor
But I think both are tenors
They could be! I need to go have another look.
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach thanks, and btw you are very charismatic and I love your videos
nice hair, good reaction too, try the dark ride
Please more helloween 🙌
I will do my best! ;)
Thank you Ricardo! Took a bit of a bashing for that one!
better reaction could be to the original track imho. Kiske (bald guy 😂) does not need effects on his mic
March of Time, Keeper of the Seven Keys, Twilight of the Gods, Halloween. Helloween invented Powermetal.
You calling helloween glam metal hurt my soul.
React
Helloween - Forever and One (Kiske + Deris)
Helloween - Keeper of the seven keys (Kiske + Deris)

Why is there people hanging on her saying Glam metal.. This is one of their more poppy songs... I mean to be honesty people have just gone to far with the descriptions of the different metal.. I have been a metal head since late 70s .. and to be honest if you played power chords you were just metal until late 80s or early 90s... So you call these guys what you want to .... She is the teacher after all.
Thank you! I was getting a little bit overwhelmed by the glam vs power metal thing. hahhahaa I love it! 100% just metal. I will remember that for the next one!
Thank you for doing the videos you do.. Like i was saying you shouldnt have to worry about getting a style of Metal correct.. Just think no one should get so picky about something so small. You are great i love what you do .. Thank you @@ZoeStibiVocalCoach
Dis is SPEED METALS! 😅
I got chastised decades ago for calling Helloween "hair metal" lol
You look like my music teacher from my childhood. I was in love with her 20 y. ago. I don't like the skipping. Nothing personal.
Thanks John! All good. ;) your music teacher had good taste then!
Michael Kiske in need of effects?! Wouldn't think so, he's in his own league.😎
There is definitely something on there you can hear two notes. .... maybe I am wrong. 🙃happy to be!
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach I saw the First First show of this tour on 2017...in my city Monterrey México, the firts time that they play all together...Michael Kiske do playback on some songs (hes sick that night) :(
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach Pretty sure it is just an increase in reverb, Kiske can do things with his voice not many mortals can. I believe if you dive in more you will agree agree with this assessment.

Glam metal.
xD
Lol the one time I said the wrong word and that is the only comment I get 🤣
it is power heavy metal not glam....
When you hear the notes from "sometime wenneed to alone" the higher notes is the long hair guy, his name is Andi "andrean" deris. You must react to his great vocals at Helloween the king for a 1000 years live sao paulo 2006-2007
Watch the original version before you judge 80's POWER METAL
Lol the ONE time I say a different style and everyone jumps on the fucking band wagon. Who cares what style it is?!!!!! For me Glam and power are the same fucking thing or do we need sequence for glam?!
Not a glam metal band. Power/Speed Metal. And PLEASE listen to Eagle Fly Free.
Whaaat ?? !!! Helloween glam metal ??? This is power metal. And Kiske is not using any effect but reverb, you listen the backing vocals and confuses them with vocal effects.
