I love my gen 5 30. I just hit 800 on mine today. I think it’s the best 30 yet. I still love the fat original gen 3 though but I think the 5 has it beat.
Thanks for the review on the Gen5. I got a G29 for hiking in North Idaho when I'm not carrying something bigger. I find myself carrying it even in town. It isn't a small gun, but it shoots and carries very nice. The G30 I shot once was great. I have almost picked one up a few times. Good to hear the Gen5 is a nice upgrade.
Falco leather holsters , best on the market after broken in imo they have some that come with mag carriers and they customizable with all lights and they have some hybrid and just kydex
I carry the G30S. Seems perfect to me. Lil smaller then a G19 but packs a better punch thats still very controllable. I undercut the guard and put some talon grips on it with a grip plug and called it a day. Its just great.
I love those and have wanted one for a long time! I’ve got the snubby performance center 500. A little too big to carry though. 🤣. The G30 is a really good carry option if you prefer big bore in a small package.
I have a G30sf, and a G30S (which is also sf), and a full size G21. I dont see any reason to get a Gen5 because Im not an MOS fan. I like the big .45acp and enjoy shooting all of them. Thanks for making this video brother. Try a Blade-Tech holster, you'll thank me later 😉
I'm a Reloader and Caster and I'm wondering how it does with Cast Bullets 230gr. Round Nose or 185gr, SWC both Cast ? Early Glocks with Polygonal Barrels had a reputation for poor accuracy with Cast Bullets.
The # 1 reason people leave their pistol at home or in the car is WEIGHT ! What does the gen 5 weigh ? Never been a glock fan but I do like the 30. 10 or 11 rds. of .45 does sound good .

Prolonged water only fasting got me from 240 to 180. I did 7-10 days at a time only regret was not fasting longer. God bless!

I’ve used talon grips on a few Glocks. The gen 3 needs it almost. The 5 has a little better texture to it. And grip plugs are a must. 🤣

I like putting the vector mag springs in the kci 26 round mags because i just don’t like how the vector mag looks. i have never had a failure to feed
They look good in a vector though. 🤣. I need to get more kci mags. Have had good luck with their Ak mags.

I’ve been wanting to get one but I’ve heard a few stories of these gen 5s Glocks 30s having failures to feed and or eject
I haven’t had a single issue.
Top tip to clean the lens of the weapon light: pencil eraser will clean it without a smear 💥

I’m not sure. I reload, but only jacketed and plated for my semi autos.
If you had to decide between G21 and the G30 which one do you prefer?
If I had to choose, it would be my 21 due to the optic cut.

It weighs about 2 pounds loaded. Feels like a brick, but I’ve gotten used to having it on me.
What light/holster are you running?
@@jay6920 I use a sticky holster for it. Usually I carry in my front pocket if the pocket will hold the 30.
