To anyone that owns a G19 and is looking to get a G30S, they both fit in the same holsters. Perfect if you want to add one or the other to your EDC rotation. Great shooter.
@@hugostiglitz9864 I can't speak for all kydex holsters. But kydex with a leather back should definitely fit (Crossbreed Supertuck). The G30S is a little thicker though, that's true.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I am going on 73 years old. My Glock 30S has been my every day, everywhere, carry gun for over four years now and it will continue in that roll until it's passed down to my grandson someday. The only mods are TruGlo night sights and I undercut the trigger guard. For self-defense carry I prefer to leave all the internals in ultra reliable Glock condition and no stupid shit bling changes on the slide or frame. Love my 30s. 1st shot out of the box was a bullseye...punched the X. That was about 7 years ago. It's been my go-to ever since. Even with my extra large mitts the SF fits my hand like a glove.
BTW - I was really surprised at the variation in speed of that Remington ammo. Might warrant further testing - when ammo is affordable and available enough for "testing"! Thoughts??
I noticed this. Shockingly wide spread and way too many low velocity readings. I'm sure it would be effective, but perhaps the equivalent JHP version would hold to higher velocity and lower spread.
Yes sir I thought that too. I was starting to think that maybe the chronograph is going crazy, LOL! I'd be curious to see if their velocity settle down later when ammo isn't so stupidly expensive as well.

I had a non tactical model FNX45 I called “Mjolnir,” i.e. Thor’s Hammer. My theory was 15+1 of .45acp should be more than adequate for any problem solvable by a handgun.

My EDC handgun is either a Glock 26 or Glock 30S. I normally carry the Glock 30S during the fall and winter and the Glock 26 during the spring and summer. The Glock 30S is my favorite of the two handguns, and I have had the Glock 30S worked on by Wilson Combat where this handgun received the following work/upgrades: battle sight rear sight, snag free front sight, WC etched logo, black armor-tuff finish, front cocking serrations, stippled frame and thumb pads, slide top serrations, flared ejection port, extended magazine release, and extended slide lock. Everyone who sees this pistol comments on how good the handgun looks and I comment on how well the gun shots. This is a very easy handgun to shot with low recoil and I have found this handgun to be highly accurate. Like others, I find it extremely difficult to load 10 rounds into the magazine and I normally carry these two handguns with 9 rounds in their 10 round magazine for a variety of reasons. I purchased the Glock 30S due to the fact that I had several 1911s in 45 acp caliber, and there has been some talk about the state of Virginia passing a law which restricts/limits magazine capacity to a maximum of 10 rounds. Should such a state or federal law be passed, my EDC handgun will primarily become the Glock 30S. Thanks for allowing me to add my comments.
I just bought the Glock 30s and im in love. Im committed to a 45 for my carry and this fit perfectly. If 10 rounds isn't enough, the Glock 21 13 round magazines with fit.Awesome
30s is no joke. I almost sold mine but so glad I didn't!!!! When 9mm first got hard to find I did find .45. Plus, here in the country we have foxes, coyotes, and black bear, etc. One bear is very bold and comes searching for neighborhood trash. I carry usually when in the yard doing work....might need a 10mm!
Best handgun I own. Never was a glock fan til I got one. Did my research and it was between a 30s or 10mm glock 29. 30s way better choice, slimmer slide, ammo easier to find, ammo costs less, not as much recoil, more upgrades avail, and almost as potent as 10mm with good plus P ammo.
My favorite Glock and YES, IT IS A SUBCOMPACT (i.e., this is how Glock advertises it online in retail stores). This pocket cannon, with a 10 round .45 ACP magazine, is a joy to shoot. A relatively soft shooter that is easy to keep on target. I have no idea why this isn't the most popular Glock (and yes, I have a Glock 19, as well as a Glock 26). Great review!
I bought a glock 30s a few months ago and do really enjoy it. I like the 10 round double stack and you can definitely feel the power, but it mitigates the recoil well.
Good video! My 30S has become my primary off duty carry since I got it! I "frankensteined" a 9 round mag with a 13 round mag spring and a Taran Tactical +4 to use as the primary magazine. Also just added Hackathorn Ameriglos. LOVE THIS HAND CANNON!
This is the 1st video of yours I've seen, but it won't be the last. I've got to say, I agree 100% on everything you've said, and that's rare. I bought my g30 a couple of years ago. It wasn't long after the Glock single stacks came out. I haven't ever been a Glock fan. I thought they were ugly, and I never found one comfortable for me to shoot. But when I saw the G36, I wanted to try one out by renting one. After several trips to the range and always finding that gun being rented out or unavailable, the guy behind the counter suggested I try out the g30 instead. So, WTH! I rented it and the Springfield XD-S. I tried the XD-S out first since I'd owned a few Springfield's and liked the brand. But what I discovered was that that little devil hurt my hand to shoot! So it only got a couple of mags through it before I switched to the g30. Wow! What a difference! I fell in love with a Glock! If you had ever heard me badmouth Glocks before, you'd know how shocking this was. It wasn't long until I went home with one. I'm a huge fan of the short, fat .45ACP. Most of mine have been 1911s. My EDC has been a Colt Defender in .45 for several years. But now I've got an alternate carry in .45. Just wanted to say again how much I agree with you about the g30. I've never tried the Ameriglos, but I've thought about them several times. Mine's still got the standard Glock sights on it but I have a set of Trijicon HD's waiting for me to put them on it (someday). Great video!
Thank Glock for the double stack .45 pistols of today like the modern double stack 1911's popping up today, HK and Glock are the ones who pioneered semi-auto polymer double stack pistols
Great video! You did an awesome job at covering all the stats and provided multiple shooting angles! Other vids are either Stats or just shooting from one angle. Keep up the great work. I love my 30SF!!!
I love my 30s. I hit a fire extinguisher with it at 200 yds up a hill, across a valley. It took me about 10 rounds to walk it in, but I got it. Proof the 30s is more accurate than I am. It’s been my edc ever since. True story.
The first Glock I shot was a G23, I think. When I brought it up to shoot, I loved the sight picture. Aligning the dot in the big fat U I found really easy, much easier than 3-dot sights. I don't know why that is, but that's my experience. And I shot the G23 better than my Sig P226 that I'd been shooting regularly for a number of years. I has night sights that still glow, so I think it's a fair comparison. Maybe it is because my eyes are beginning to fail - the fat lines are easier to see. Just me. I like Glock sights - I do wish they were metal.
Great Quality Video Review.... the picture quality looks like that has improved also. Might be in my head, but are you using a better camera here?? Regardless, Great Video Review Justin. I prefer my Glock 30 Gen 4, but a winner either way. Take Care Sir! 🥳👍🇺🇸🐉🤠. Beretta Sr.
The two main cameras are not so new - one is about a year old and the other I added at the end of 2020 (a matching pair now). I have been taking a few extra steps during setup to get a better and more consistent image quality (a constant challenge when you work alone) - and I appreciate the comment that makes me feel like I'm making some progress! In the studio - I have invested a lot in lighting and sound - I hope those segments will raise the viewer experience (even though it's my face still). I have challenged myself to increase quality, even if it is at the expense of quantity. We'll see how it goes.
I was just holding a G30 Gen 4 in my hand yesterday. I was going to buy it, but was already buying 2 M&P's. I wasn't going to push my luck with my wife 🤣
@@BERETTA9mmUSA I may just add it this week 😁. I had a 30S a few years ago, but I like the 30 gen 4 more. And I've watched your videos with yours 👍. Stay safe my friend 😊🙏🎉
Bought this as my birthday gift last year..........haven't shot it yet,...however I used to carry it's big brother, the 21SF for my job.....love Glocks.
The Glock 30 is one of my favorite carry pieces. Accurate, reliable, easy to control, easy to conceal. If you need more than 10 rounds of .45ACP, you are in a bad situation.
I have never shot a more accurate pistol; something about the 30 that just shoots so dam well. Feels great even in regular sized hands with the right stippling.
I love the G30 platform, and like the 30S even better. What would really put my affinity for the G30S over the top is if it had a grip length akin to the G19/23/32. While I'm at it, a single stack G21, same length & height, 10 rnd mag & narrow slide like the 30S.
Agree with the idea of a grip length of the G19/23/32. Those 3 pistols, for me, have the ideal grip length. My little finger just barely gets a positive grip on any of the three. On the G30S, my little finger sits halfway on the bottom of the magazine and halfway under it. Just a tad too short for me to get a real positive grip.
My edc prior to purchasing my Glock 30 SF was a Sig P365 XL. I love that gun. But the frame weight of the Glock makes is feel easier to carry. It has better balance. I shoot both well. But I love the sense of security from carrying the Glock 30 SF.
Glock 30 gen 4 is my EDC. Vedder Lighttuck with a claw is the perfect holster for it. I even have a G29 upper for it when I want to shoot 10mm. My favorite Glock.
Love my glock 30sf, had it for a year now. It's funny I named it Mjolnir, and this video is titled "Hammer of the Gods"! Great shooter, and you handle it well.
Yea brother i have the glock 30 gen 3. Love it, she is also a fat thick boy not the s. The thing that i love is the fact that it shoots the 45 caliber round and the recoil is very manageable. The only thing i changed on it was the true glow sights i put on it and the nipple i put on the slide release. I wonder what the difference in the regular fat boy 30 and the s.
I had both 21sf and 30sf, both were both super accurate (more than my sig 1911 and SW625 45acp) under 25yds and totally reliable without cleaning! I only got rid of them along with most my 45acp pistols because I couldn't afford the ammo and have too many glocks.
I found the 30S, and a 30 w\SF Frame at the store. I went with the 30, only because of the ability to also use a 29 (10mm) barrel in it at times as well. At the time, I couldn't find a conversation barrel that would've worked for the 30S. 30s was noticably skinnier.
Just bought my g30s. Excited to go break it in at the range. Always liked Glock , saw myself buying a Glock 17 or 19 for the longest. But since I already had my 9mm beretta I knew I needed a 45 acp pistol better. And it’s compact , perfect for conceal carry. Carries 10 + 1 rounds. Sounds good to me 🤷🏻♂️ a lot of compact pistols hold like 6 rounds. My .357 snubby pony held 5 so it’s doubled now. Came with an extended mag with 13 capacity. Love it
Im in the Same boat. I want a Glock 19 but I already have a beautiful beretta 92fs Inox in stainless steel. I also have a Glock 26 for conceal carry, but I need a 45 caliber to make my arsenal complete and its a plus knowing that I can cc the Glock 30s as well. I'm going to sell my taurus tracker in .357 mag 4" barrel and use that money to buy the Glock 30s
@@Ofc.2018 cause typically you dont need 23 rounds of .45 acp to stop a threat and its way smaller. say you shot 10 rounds of .45 and its not enough, your pry in deep shit so thats why a 13 round mag as a back up is good.
Should be awesome! I'd get the Gen 4 and then put the 30S slide on it. The 29/30 frame are the same for the most part. The 30S slide fits right on it. You only need to swap mags and slides. Not to mention you get more rounds in the 29 with a flush magazine and the 10mm hollows are pretty devastating if needed in a defense situation.
The 29 is an awesome glock. 10mm (the best mm) would be a better CCW choice IMO. 230gr in the 700 to 850 range vs a true 10mm 180 gr at 1200fps. The 30 benefits from ammo availability and price... or it did before 2020. Now I see more 10mm available than I do 45acp so that advantage may not be there. Would I buy a 30... yes and have. Would I pick it over a 29 at the same price... probably not. Great video on a good gun.
Yes sir I was wondering if you had a Glock in 45 Gap? I looked back to your videos and I didn't see it but I may have not looked hard enough. Was wondering if you had shot one maybe if not you would put it on your list and try it out. Thank you sir.
You can conceal any size handgun depending on the climate and the clothing you wear. I've been carrying a G-21 in an OWB holster all winter long concealed by my winter coats. Its still cold enough out where I live so I'm still carrying it and other full size guns as well. When warm weather hits thats when I swap out to my subcompacts and micro size guns. I carry my G-30s in every climate more so in an IWB holster in spring and summer with the 10 round mag w/pinky extension. I've had my G-30s for 7 years and love it. Its a nice smooth shooting gun. Thanks for the video sir.
I’m carrying one now in a Crossbreed IWB in cross draw. Love it and you’re correct that it’s easy to shoot accurately. I handload for all my practice but carry Sig V-Crown in 200 or 185 Gn ammo:)
Subscribed as soon as I saw the hat - unbelievable you got to be that close to Robert Plant on stage to take that picture! Think you may have convinced me to get a glock 30 as well.
Great shot of Plant. I saw them in San Francisco at the Carousel Ballroom on their first tour, I had already worn out the first album lol...and great shooting at 15 yards
Just picked up a nice used one up at my locally owned gun store….never thought about these until I got stationed in Cali and was looking for a compact pistol In 45. CCW is not as bad as I thought being active duty military here…only took 4 months. Thanks for the great video!
I've had my 30s for almost 8 years now, I agree it is like an extension of my hand. I do kinda wish glock made a threaded barrel model though. Love the 30s and your content, keep up the good work with that hammer.
Same thing can be said about any big name handguns. Smith and Wesson, Sig Sauer, FN, Walther, Ruger, Springfield, Glock...Aint really a bad choice out there cept Taurus and Kel Tecs are shit

I bought a glock 30s a few months ago and do really enjoy it. I like the 10 round double stack and you can definitely feel the power, but it mitigates the recoil well.
The 30 and 30s in by far the most accurate glock for me. It is an absolute nail driver. Hopefully my 29 will fall right in line with the 30
Had one, sold it, needed to have one again and just bought another. One of the best carry options in 45! Nice video & Zeppelin forever!
Love my Glock 30s. I even magnaported it. Now one Glock that gets no love is the Glock 36!! Another EDC favorite!
A friend of mine had a G21 and 36. He sold the 21 and kept his 36 to keep his 1911s company since he reloads.
I can’t believe its been 8 years. Bought mine late 2014 and has been an excellent edc. My first and only Glock.
Can't say that's a bad model to be your only Glock.
Good video! My 30S has become my primary off duty carry since I got it! I "frankensteined" a 9 round mag with a 13 round mag spring and a Taran Tactical +4 to use as the primary magazine. Also just added Hackathorn Ameriglos. LOVE THIS HAND CANNON!
2:29 😎 Like a badass!!!
love those esoteric electric lust of gun lighting on the wall
I wish more companies would make 45s in a variety of flavors! With modern double stack technology for better capacity. I just love 45
Exactly, there’s only so many striker fire double stack polymer 9mms before it gets stale and boring
Thank Glock for the double stack .45 pistols of today like the modern double stack 1911's popping up today, HK and Glock are the ones who pioneered semi-auto polymer double stack pistols
The glockiest glock that glock has ever glocked 🤣
Love the 30s first 45acp I ever had and just fell in love. The grip is a little slick for me but put a rubber grip on it and just feels so good.
The Glock 21sf is my favorite. I need the 30sf or 30s in my collection.
You have a calm voice and demeanor, your like the Bob Ross of target shooters.
Hi! The GLOCK 30 is just a great gun. Simple accurate and the standard 30’s are great 👍 the sight upgrade is mandatory. I love it long live GLOCK🇺🇸
@@damonstanley7646 You will have to add the Glock 30 next year with a couple extra magazines.... it is Awesome, I promise. 🐉🥳👍🇺🇸🇺🇸. Beretta Sr.
@@BERETTA9mmUSA I may just add it this week 😁. I had a 30S a few years ago, but I like the 30 gen 4 more. And I've watched your videos with yours 👍. Stay safe my friend 😊🙏🎉
SR -- you need a 30S. I love mine!
Maybe there are 11 guys attacking you all at once.....
I have never shot a more accurate pistol; something about the 30 that just shoots so dam well. Feels great even in regular sized hands with the right stippling.
Likely someone else has already said this, but....
The "SF" refers to front to back grip thickness, not height.
I've got a couple Glock 30S's and a 30SF... Love that round and platform! GREAT Review...Thanks ';-) Mike~
Love my 30s! 10 round magazines for city protection, 13 round magazines for woods carry. Nice video brotha, thanks.🤙
The G30 sf if my favorite Glock. I been trying for a long time to get my hands on the G30S
I agree, it's one of my favorites. Only issue is that the magazine sometimes pinches pinky, while shooting.
Love my Glock 30S as well... Best gun I own!!
When you said " has anyone ever said I"m upgrading to Glock sights....me either." I about peed my pants.
I love the G30 for it's soft recoil but that fat slide makes carrying a bit uncomfortable . The G30S is on my hit list now for sure!
"I'm just curious, have you ever heard anybody say, 'I'm upgrading TO Glock sights?'...me either!" LOL
A glock 30s is a keeper better than a 1911 less money more shots easy to clean and so many parts available 🇦🇹💯👍
Recoil looks very manageable. I am watching this video thinking of purchasing this model. I think you sold me on it! Thanks for the great review.
Love the hat, love Zeppelin, and love the photo you took! When and where were you lucky enough to see Zeppelin?
Not the S, but my Gen 4 Glock 30 (Stumpy) is my favorite Glock. She's my accurate little Stomper!
Some guy was selling brand new 30S slides on Ebay a few months ago. The gen 4 with the 30S slide would be my favorite!
I think the 30s may be the best Glock ever and one of my all time favorite handguns!
The "Sledgehammer" 💪💪
I'm sold. I'm a fan of carry guns that "start with a four (4)!" Oh, massive Led Zeppelin fan! The 2007 O2 arena show was breathtaking. 🇺🇸🎖👍
I had both 21sf and 30sf, both were both super accurate (more than my sig 1911 and SW625 45acp) under 25yds and totally reliable without cleaning! I only got rid of them along with most my 45acp pistols because I couldn't afford the ammo and have too many glocks.
"I have too many Glocks" said......NOBODY, EVER!!! Except you 🤔 🤔 🤔 Hmmmm?
I've got a G30S and it's my EDC. Great little gun - 10+ rounds of .45 caliber awesomeness.
@elihollins1 yes buy the g30s! It's a great pistol
Bought one last November and love it I carry it with the glock 21 mag its on my waist as I'm eating this chili cheese dog right now
Just curious... since you carry it with the G21 magazine, why not just carry the G21?
Is the dog Hebrew National? Those are the very best and are even kosher...l'chaim!
@@Ofc.2018 cause typically you dont need 23 rounds of .45 acp to stop a threat and its way smaller. say you shot 10 rounds of .45 and its not enough, your pry in deep shit so thats why a 13 round mag as a back up is good.
@@Ofc.2018 It still wouldn't be as compact the Glock 21 is way bigger gun all around I get what you saying tho
How about the 29? 10mm sub compact....
It's awesome. Shoot it good, like the 30s.
Great video on a good gun.
glock 29 10mm love mine
Coming soon... ;-)
Other than my M-16 yes I’m that old when I was in the army the Glock 30 Gen 3 was the first hand gun we ever shot. Like it and still do . Thanks
ummm....no you did not shoot this in the Army.....
Been carrying the G30sf since I retired from the PD. Love it & it’s my EDC.
That has to be the least consistent ammo ever.
600-758ft, it is ridiculous! It is like 2 completely different cartridges!
I love my Glock 30. My everyday carry.
Yes sir I was wondering if you had a Glock in 45 Gap? I looked back to your videos and I didn't see it but I may have not looked hard enough. Was wondering if you had shot one maybe if not you would put it on your list and try it out. Thank you sir.
45 gap is actually a good round. Just never took off because of ammo price and mag capacity.
Great video. Thanks!
Good shot. That hair 😲 and he owns a Camaro 😆
I just love how you follow through after the last round and at the same time take your trigger finger out.
Gen 3 Glock 30s here everyday carry
I just got the Glock 30 gen 4 two days ago and I’m super happy to have it. I’ve had the the non railed 36 before but never one of those thick girls.
Great video and what a nice pistol! Congrats from Brazil!
Excelente desmostracion y explecacion... saludos de Argentina
The 30s is a great hammer! Great video!!
its a great shooting firearm... One of their best....Thank you
I’m carrying one now in a Crossbreed IWB in cross draw.
Great Video! What is the model name of the Ameriglo sights?
I've had my 30s for almost 8 years now, I agree it is like an extension of my hand. I do kinda wish glock made a threaded barrel model though. Love the 30s and your content, keep up the good work with that hammer.
You can buy a threaded barrel
I love this pistol. Your video showed us how this pistol should be presented. Well done.
Thanks, sir!
That was nice shooting Just!
Glock is the only gun I will get, clean/oil/test function and throw in a holster and go. They have yet to let me down in any way.
Same thing can be said about any big name handguns. Smith and Wesson, Sig Sauer, FN, Walther, Ruger, Springfield, Glock...Aint really a bad choice out there cept Taurus and Kel Tecs are shit
@@The_Draque Even Taurus is making some decent stuff now
I carry a Glock 19 but I'd love to carry a 30s.
