Story Summary :-
Op is the only daughter of her father who never married because he had the mentality that women were just gold diggers. He had a furniture company that was worth around eight million dollars and Op's path crossed with that of her husband when he showed up with his mom to establish a partnership between their company and that of Op's dad. Op's dad promises to give them feedback but Op's husband starts hitting on her. He even proposes to her and Op's dad is skeptical. He warns Op that her husband is playing her but Op goes ahead with the marriage. Op's dad, however, does not partner with his in-laws firm.
A lady soon surfaces in their life and it turns out she had given birth to a boy for Op's father. She attempts to use the boy as a passport out of poverty and insists Op's dad includes him in his will. Op's dad does so but passes away shortly after and his baby mama becomes torn in Op's flesh. Op's husband and mother-in-law support her and Op felt they genuinely cared for her. She never knew they were only after what they could get once she inherited the company. She does inherit the company but lies to her husband and his mother that she didn't. Husband wants a divorce and mother-in-law slaps and commands her to give it to him. Op lets them know it was all a lie. She starts the divorce process but equally sues the mother-in-law for assault.

I've been in 4 serious relationships in my life. My parents warned me about 1-3. I didn't listen. They were supportive, but told me not to trust my partner. Like OP's dad, they just knew. My folks adore my current partner and tell me all of the time that she's the one.
The way he proposed was manipulative. Put loads of pressure on her to say yes, even if it's just to avoid embarrassing him. First very big red flag.
I dont think that kid is her brother and the MIL is in cahoots with Priscilla. There is plenty of OP's dna in the shared home and they could have used that to get the results.

I have to admit I was on the edge of my seat with this one. Husband straight up pulled a longgggg con. 🤦🏻♀️He had way more patience than I could’ve ever had in that situation. I love how she did her own acid test, keeping in mind how things were apways off about her husband and mother-in-law. Where Priscilla was up in their face and loud about what she wanted, the others played the long game, the icing on the cake is that the mother-in-law slapping her to gain an assault charge and their company losing big time for their abuse.
I was listening to this while cleaning and I was honestly expecting Priscilla to be in on the scam with her husband and MIL.
That's what I was waiting to hear, I thought that Priscillas , along with with the husband and MIL was family scheming together. The infant son was Priscillas and her boyfriend/husband or perhaps, the husband's real wife or maybe his sister.

Never assume that the DNA test presented to you by a person who stands to gain loads of money if the baby is related, is legitimate. OP should've insisted that Priscilla's son be re-tested by somebody OP could be sure wouldn't fake the results for Priscilla, in exchange for money. If not OP, then certainly OP's father.

The labs usually sent results to both parties , I know people have the abilities to get anything the needs quickly and for a fee off the internet and if you don"t know , you can easily get duped. Plus Pricillias is not dad's spouse / girlfriend or partner and is not his duty to provide for her. Dad's only responsibilities is to take care of the child, if proven to be his son. I also curious about how dad got hurt and almost died , Now that OP had to step in and run the company, then once again husband attempted to get OP to go behind her father's back and form the partnership that her father already said " NO"to. After she had just told her husband and MIL there was not going to be a partnership until her dad could be returning to his business. Then all of a sudden the dad's dead. OP has control of the company and husband and MIL are sure that she will approve the partnership. When OP realized her father was right, and performed her own acid test, They Failed.

There is NO responsibility of anybody to put anyone in any will, no matter what state you live in. Also, the OP in this situation really dodged a very large bullet in that she did not get pregnant or have any children by the husband. Having a child in this situation would have been the final nail in the coffin, not for her father, but for her.

Why didn't op conduct the DNA test herself to make sure the child was her stepbrother? The mother could could have manipulated the results to suit her and her child.
