#16 - Emptying the Attic, Gardening & Finding MORE Antiques at Our Small Portuguese Farm

Michael finishes emptying the attic this week, finding a few more hidden antiques and 'treasures' that we'll use around our renovation project. One man's trash is another man's treasure, right? He's also removing some of the last remaining floorboards. And we enjoy the last of the Christmas sun with some weeding.
Buckle up! We're excited for what 2024 has to offer at this stone home restoration in Central Portugal and can't wait to share the journey with you.

With all that weeding look up a snake head or serpent head hand weeder. I made mine from scraps I had. It helps speeds up the task and a whole lot easier!

question could you reclaim some of that wood to use for other projects Considering the price of lumber these days if you get a wood planer you can take the top surface off and it will be new again👍✌️🤙❤️🇵🇹❤️

Definitely! We're salvaging as much as possible. A lot of the floorboards and ceilings are rotten but the old walls aren't so we'll be building things with those ☺️

If the budget will allow it get you a Electric wood planer and a tablesaw and a miter saw it will save you time and money 👍✌️🤙❤️🇵🇹❤️
