Thanks bro this really helped. I went from getting less than 50% on the QR section and DM section in the practice tests to getting 700+ on both on the day.
Heyyy i was just wondering if you ended up improving towards the test or if you got the 700+ on the test day because I’m literally in your position and i cant seem to raise my score on those two :c
taking notes for myself and summary for u guys 1. *asses the more difficult questions first* and guess/ flag them and ONLY come back to them later if you have time (each question is worth one mark). in abstract reasoning it’s a pattern that’s way too hard to solve, in verbal reasoning these are the questions without dates and individual true/ false questions. in quantitive reasoning this is the most important, judge by the number of calculations. also questions which you find difficult. (know your weaknesses). 2. *cut out all the unnecessary steps* while taking your exam. for example, do more calculations in your head. memorise the formulae that keep coming up, use the memory function on the calculator. 3. learn how to *skim through info* for verbal reasoning. 4. make a *list of patterns* for abstract reasoning. 5. know *how many seconds you have allocated for each section and question*. practice with your phone timer with each question to get an intuitive feel. 6. *practice* is the key to this exam. practice as much as you can.
nancy vanessa Was there new question types in Situational Judgment? And was the Decision making section harder than Medify? I’ve heard that from other people but I don’t know if it’s true. Any tips? Thanks a lot.
@@mohd-a i didn't use medify so i wouldnt know, but the question types for each section were the same as in the practise tests, in general very similar in terms of question style and difficulty. hope that helped :)
Hey I have been watching your videos and just wanted to let you know they are so helpful. i have my ukcat today but i haven't timed my self with like the second timer for each question.
Thanks for making this so-much, you are literally a GOD! All these videos, all the effort you put in, they are all appreciated by people like me! - My UCAT is on the 20th of August ;)
Aah thank you so much! It's so tough to get the VR questions correct and done on time because the passages are so lengthy. I think you prefer reading the question first and then skimming for the answer? Personally, I don't like that because I wouldn't understand the context of the passage and may even get mislead. But reading the entire thing is too time consuming, and if I read too fast I can't retain the information :( SIJ is the least time consuming imo but I tend to get partially correct more often than not because I try not to invest too much time into thinking about what's the best answer. Haven't started the others yet as I just subscribed to medify today!!
@@KharmaMedic not quite :c I'm really struggling with time management and using the calculator in QR. I solve questions usually taking the same time as the average, but can't do it according to the table you've mentioned, and when I get stuck I try to solve it and understand instead of moving on. But I'm in practice stage so I guess it's fine. Just my second day of subscription
@@KharmaMedic I'm actually not a medical student rather a criminology student who's amazed on how you spend your time well. Im a freshman student so your videos helps me a lot. Sending love from PH!
I have 6 days left to study for the UCAT (it’s on Oct 1). I am currently scoring early 600s in QR, VR, & AR, 300 to 500 in DM (according to Medify), and band 1 in SJ. I want 700 to 800s in all sections. I bought your notes from Etsy. What should I do??? I also have the SAT on Oct 5.
In the actual exam do you get a timer/clock on screen telling you how long you have left? Great video by the way! My exam is on the 30th so I will definitely be using these tips whilst practicing!

How long would you consider ‘too long’ to spot a pattern in the abstract reasoning section? Since for me, the time it takes varies a lot between different questions. Thank you!
i would say that you should spend around 30 seconds at the start of every new set to work out the pattern because once you have that figured out, you can easily click on every question whether it's set A or B in no time, but of course sometimes the pattern is much more difficult or a lot easier so it really depends, hope this helps
