(Powerknobz are a very small team so there can be delay for printing)
What do you think of the Powerknobz, would you buy them ?
Great video! I just recently ordered a set for myself. Looks like you were picking up speed very efficiently with the new set-up. I like how they help facilitate seated riding as well. Cheers!
It accelerates fast and I'm not even used to yet, imagine in a couple days of riding !
Love the ride review, it's great to see how PKs can really enhance the riding experience of any wheel 🔥
Thank you, i saw that some people has made videos but without talking or showing the side of the EUC, which doesn't show how great they are
Nice video, these pads are really nice
I just saw your video, nice review as well !
Just bought some powerknobz, waiting on them to arrive can't wait. I also have a lynx!
Congrats, I'm sure you'll have a blast !
Awesome showcase
Thank you !
nice info thanks
You're welcome !
Salut Mathieu
J'étais déjà convaincu mais là c'est vraiment décidé, je vais les commander merci beaucoup hâte d'avoir ton retour en offroad
Je suis sur que tu vas aimer, mais attention il y a un peu d'attente car il y a beaucoup de commandes
Weeeeeeeeeeeee!
Fun fact: the acceleration is so easy, so fun, that's why I cut out my Sherman OG *twice* when torquing at low battery. I need a wheel I can trust with PowerKnobz now 😂
True story, you would need a Lynx !
I bought a set and had a similar experience. The only thing is that having your toes off the front if the pedals would change your center of mass and essentially 'preload' you for acceleration. I tried them in 'nomal' and 'toes forward' position and don't see the knobz as providing more acceleration than other pads in similar positions. I do, however, like the fact that seated riding is not impeded.
You may be right, as for acceleration, a completely different technique and body position has to be used to have the best performance
Looks great, love that you can still accelerate while seated. Is there a good place to service your EUC in Montreal?
Noaio on Rue Sherbrooke
I love the PowerKnobz and have them on all 5 of my wheels... Master, Master Pro, Commander Pro, V13 and Sherman Max. They're for a more unique style of riding.
i've ridden my Sherman-S for more than 3000km with standard Pads, then tried with Powerknobz, i would never thought that the Big Sherman could accelerate this fast !
Must be rich😂
@@GenghisKhan311 Not rich, just debt free, i guess you could call this ''richer'' than most people that have debts
@@MathieuTechMoto smart man. I stay the same way. If i can't pay cash i don't get
@@GenghisKhan311 The recipe for an unstressed happy life :)
You're a skilled rider
Sometimes i'm not so bad, i have still a lot to learn but thank you !
i don't have a EUC but plan to get one something that worries me about velcro is the thought of leaning forward or backward hard enough that the pads just drop off and you might take a nasty fall
For me its well sturdy enough
@mathieu I just don’t get one thing: what are PK better than we take a regular pads and remove only front top acceleration pad. Don’t we get the same result? I’m not sure about heel part, does it differ from regular back bottom pad? Does it block your heel from possible lifting during acceleration?
It really hard to explain with words, you really have to ride with them to understand, but the big feature of these is how wide they are, so your feets are becoming one with the machine, it has nothing to have with the tiny adjustable toe block from the factory
Bonjour Mathieu ! So you say that applying different/uneven forces while braking will reduce the wobble. Some also say that having different/uneven foces while accelerating would also help to reduce wobble. I somewhat have this because my forward pads are not equidistant. ie: not exactly positioned equally. Also on one side I have the brake pad and none on the other side {lol..} It's an experiment in progress. What do you think about the front pads not being spaced equally ??
PS: I still get wobbles.... but I can somewhat control them...
Ive always used my powerpads as symmetrical as possible, which could be a mistake, but with the setup in the video i didn't had any brake or accelerations wobbles like on standard pads
But there was one major problem with standard power pads, is if i tried to accelerate very hard from a stop, it would steer very hard to one side even if i was perfectly centered in my movement's, maybe uneven pads would solve this, but i see no reason to put the old pads back
I have found that always pushing down with your toes on one foot to accelerate and the other foot either neutral/flat or lifting up your toes and pressing down on your heel helps with brake and speed wobbles. When I brake hard I do the same. I alternate feet during riding a lot but when I accelerate hard I go both toes down but only relax one when I get to the speed I want. I really don’t get wobbles anymore unless I have to hard emergency brake from 35kph+. They are easily controlled by pressing harder on one heel and one toe at the same time. If you do get wobbles accelerating, then you should accelerate out of it and start alternating pressing on each toe quickly, so that basically you catch up to the wobble with your carving and control it. Stay safe.
@@-renoboarder-4820 thanks for the tip !
With my long legs regular power pads have always been an issue for me. It looks like these would fix it.
It probably would !
I've watched a couple other videos for these pads and REALLY want to get a pair, except I've heard the only negative is they are not the greatest for Trail riding.... any thoughts?
What people don't like in the trails, didn't test yet but i can't imagine being worst than standard pads with the right riding tecnique
@@MathieuTechMoto yes for very instense riiding or racing these arent good ... esp. for quick turns in racing.. they look fun for cruising and seated riding, but I would not want them on races or serious technical trails as you want you legs secure in the front so the wheel is part of you and you are "locked in" as one. I still can get more speed with front pads since my weight is pressing against them & the front pads really help in turns when you are on tracks... Again if that isnt your style and you are a cruiser like this guy then they look GREAT!
@@revolutionaries007I love the fact that you are literally talking out of your ass.
@@JeskaRain U are the one talking out of your ass. Racing on a track u want power pads as they give your inner leg support if u set them up right ... lets see who wins if I am talking out my ass .. they arent good for RACING in tight turns ... u obviously havent raced much.
I cant wait to see all the racer use them.
Why do you not have front pads for acceleration?
That's exactly the point of the Powerknobz, is to get rid of these combersome front power pads, but it can be hard to understand until you try them
It's allowing to move much more freely for acceleration , jumps and offroad
Hi )
available in UK?
I'm not sure, check out her website
I will let you know why the pads are not as good as you say. The wobble you had when accelerating around 4:02. You don't have control of the back of the EUC when you lean forward with your legs with these pads. The breaking great, accelerating high speeds bad. If you hit a hole at high speeds, and lean forward you will hit the ground instantly.
Thank you for the information !
@@user-ke9yk5qp3u You are welcome my son
@@user-ke9yk5qp3u All i know, is that i know nothing ! 🙂
You are completely correct , these are not the future pad in my eyes to accelerate fast contact is needed for control!!!!
I don't think you will find any experience, top rders using them!!!!!!
You move pattern will fu.ck up your knees in the long term.
Thank you for watching !
Having your feet that far forward negatively impacts stability especially at high speed
Thanks, I'll try different positions
Looks like you don't get any leverage, so for turning at high speeds, there's no contact at the top for control ,off road riding, on hills you just won't get the contact you need , especially on powerful wheels to makes the climb!!!!
For me, I would more than likely fall off the front as there's no contact....
Right from the very beginning, we soon realised you need leverage to climb properly, or you end up getting fatigue through gripping the euc , so I can't see that these are a future pad in my eyes ......
