Good review, I have a set of these as well. Only part I think you forgot to talk about is the seated riding with powerknobs. I found that as a front pad rider, seated riding requires a lot of fiddling with the powerknobs to get the feel right and if you ride a smaller wheel and require your foot to bend up, your heel lock will get in the way. Thanks Mr. Wrong Way for featuring these!
I believe one of the selling points of these pads for advanced riders is knees over toes acceleration. Instead of needing to lean your entire upper body forward, you can keep your upper body relatively over your wheel and lean forward knees first. Caveat you need strong legs and very durable knees. I've been meaning to try to find footage of the PowerKnobz racers to see if any of them leverage knees over toes to their advantage, or if it's not something for high performance riding. I mention it since you throwing on a shin pad defeats this purpose. I'm curious how a knees over toes rider does on steep inclines. I do not recommend people try knees over toes without progressively bulletproofing your knees/legs first. Cheers, thanks for sharing feedback on these! I've been eyeing them with curiosity.
Exactly this, no unstable banana leans. Just a nice stable controllable stance. I don't race but I commute about 40 miles a day on the v13 and the powerknobs let you use more of your legs as leverage more consistently than a shin pad. I usually have mine pretty loose and then lift my dominant heel to lock the foot in to the knob and pedal and then use the knob as a leverage point when I need hard acceleration.
I love my powerknobz, I rode for about 4000 miles on the v12 padless then tried shin pads and they never felt right. Then I got my powerknobz and they clicked immediately. I now have about 4000 miles on my sus delete v13 with powerknobz and I would never go back on a big wheel. Thanks for the vid
@@michaelganshin2017 I can't remember what they are called but I got a big pair up front on my v13, I don't have em on my V12 since I don't ride it much anymore but they are excellent for not getting bounced out of your pedals as well as the additional control. I commute at high speed on roads (see my channel to see me doin 40 on a padless V12) I would recommend not jumping on a v12 much unless you keep your tire pressure really high. Even then it's not really a jump wheel. Ride safe ❤️
I have a set of the og powerknobz on my Master and they’ve been great. Commuting, off-roading, seated riding, and now some jumps and they’ve handled it all just fine. Get a used set on the cheap if the price is too steep but either way you can’t go wrong.
Also, I have to put in a good word for the customer service experience with Powerknobz. They responded quickly to emails and all my questions were answered. Which currently beats the other pad manufacturers I’ve dealt with.😅 It’s a small thing but I appreciate businesses who go the extra mile for their customers
Wrong Way, I want to thank you and @ElectrifiedRider for helping me understand PowerKnobz. PowerKnobz offers several options and I couldn't figure out what I was looking at, what the differences were, what I would get, or fundamental placement. This video helps so much. I used your code and I bought two pair of the 2 Piece Voidcore Prime V2 full pad kit (no Powercore). ~maverick 😀
To cut them defeats the purpose of the big ass velcro patch. But probably still holds better cut than a bunch of options out there. I ride the Fusion with steel toe work boots on my Lynx 👌
I've got the cohedron with the brake extension on my Falcon and it's a bit overkill, which I absolutely love. On a wheel that tiny I don't find myself missing the shin pad of the stock pads at all. I feel very in control and able to manipulate the Falcon however I see fit. After making a fairing for some extra surface area, I feel very locked in. That being said, these are my first set of aftermarket pads so I really don't have a frame of reference to other styles other than the stock pads.
Little bit annoyed that I paid extra for expedited shipping and they sent them standard shipping. STILL waiting on my order even thou they charged my credit card the day after I ordered them and then didn't ship them for two weeks with the wrong shipping.
To me, pads are best as indicators so you know where your body is in relation to the wheel, and to keep you from falling over if you lean too far forward or back. Too many people use them as crutches to get leverage on their wheel, rather than learning proper body positioning. These pads give a little extra freedom, so I'm sure they'll scare people who've relied on other pads to make up for poor technique.
I don't know if something's wrong with the ones I received or if they've changed the velco quality. I ordered mine after watching this review but the velco on mine is really bad, they come off the wheel way easier than my Grizzala pads
Great video! I'm undecided on purchasing a set. This video was helpful. They look awesome and sturdy. Question...are you able to close your pedals? I like to close my pedals when I'm walking through the markets.
I printed these, but they're too big and wide (what she said), making it awkward to throw your leg over and uncomfortable for seated riding. The front pad of the Cohedron has a gap between the pad and Velcro, causing it to come loose during hard acceleration. I wouldn't recommend the Cohedron for the Lynx-it doesn't fit comfortably due to limited space.
@@space.youtube Doesn't matter a bit to me, I just watch someone else. Probably matters more to him because...."I'll just watch someone else...". It's axiomatic.

Yes, I just got mine and the velcro quality is really bad, definitely not like what Adam is showing in this video, not sure if they've changed their velco to cheaper quality ones. The velcro on my Grizzla pads is 10X stronger
When did yu get them? I recently got another set that stick much better, but they still come loose when I need them. I struggle to get my Grizzlas off at all.
So many words about seated riding with those fusion knobs but no examples? It’s not only about your knees. Even on stock lynx jump pads that are much smaller you should move your leg to the side while riding seated otherwise you can not lift your heel. And without lifting your heel your ankle is bended too much into unnatural and even painful way. Do you really keep your heel grounded flat on the pedal while riding seated on the wheel?
I still don't understand the fundamental difference between those and big jumppads (and not gonna pay 200$ to try a 3d printed part that may not fits me).
I just received today, my INMOTION V14 I unboxed it and tried to power it on. It did not turn on so I put it to charge for about an hour with their 6.5 amp fast charger. The charger has the green light that it’s fully charged, but still cannot get it to power on this sucks this makes me lose faith in the company right out of the gecko.
