Thanks for giving Ricky the credit he deserves, had it not been for injuries, his impact on the NBA would have been even more profound. I wish him all the best in this new stage of his life.
I would say above average he put up 12 and 8 assists not many guys put up that many assists

He is the 67th player in NBA history with 5160 assists, and José Calderón (another legendary Spanish guard) is the 68th with 5148. Not bad, I would say. @@timboslice8559
Ricky Rubio is a streets won't forget player. Injuries and other issues probably didn't let him develop the career he could have had but he still had a great career nonetheles. Great player to watch
I feel like Spanish players are somehow too selfless. They create so much game, give so many passes so smartly, involving their teammates but they don't mind not being the ones to score or even get the assist. You see that on Rubio, you see that on Calderon, Marc Gasol, Pau Gasol and you can keep on going. They could put +20 points a match if they wanted to play that way. But that selflesness is also the key of their internation team. Second best team international country in history after USA by far.
Ricky Rubio is the reason i got back into watching NBA games, after a 2 decade hiatus. Maybe i should retire too. Sad to see Ricky go.. he was a wizard on the court.

Ricky worth even more as a human than a basketball player. All the teams love those kind of players, Steven Adams, etc. Appreciate you shout-out him 🇪🇸
On the 16-66 season he started and played over 70 games in, he had a positive plus minus. Playing 34mins a night for a 66 loss team and he walked away having won more than he lost on the court. He was a winner in a losing situation.
It is really a shame that Ricky Rubio's game didnt translate to the NBA and it's rules. Of course I'm spanish and I'm biased but to me he's one of the best FIBA players I have seen. Everybody remembers Pau and Marc but Ricky's level of play in the NT the last few years is comparable.
