      My only critique is in these stories after Kobe is gone , some details can flipped and flopped around. You think that Kobe looked at Phil Haney like he didn’t know what he was talkin about being long and shortening up your dribble ?

    Tim Grover hated that Kobe questioned his methods. Teaching is a one way exercise for him. Whereas with Phil you can see that teaching is a dialog, with each participant refining each other.

    • @Jay_Nightlife
      @Jay_Nightlife หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Grover explained that one of tge differences between training him and Mike is that Mike didn't question whereas Kobe was very involved w/ all the questions and expressing what he wanted. After a game, they'd suppose to go to dinner and discuss some things but they'd often not make it out of the car because they'd be breaking shit down intensely. Kobe said he needed people involved w/ him as passionate as he was around. Two or three a.m., he'd be somewhere puttin up shots or workin on something that he felt he should've gotten right during the game.

      even all the using opstacles and bump pad to score? i was like f this
      all you need is a ball a hoop a court ( indoor most preferably) and a rebounder
      you also need to know how to work THE RIGHT WAY a lot of ppl just hire trainers that don’t know wtf they’re talking about

    Im not gone cap Paul was the perfect player to join the Lakers in 2018, his game complimented what we always needed since Kobe left, a two way wing who can shoot at all 3 levels, he was at the party with Russ another LA legend i went to school with in jr high on western and 126th im on the same page as him in the year book. He decided to stay in OKC we was disappointed breh. Once LeBron joined the Lakers with no other star it made me have the ultimate respect for him. Then we traded for AD after we threw that whole 2018 year. If it wasn't for PG we wouldnt have gotten AD. Fast forward PG gets traded to Clippers as a if you don't get him im not coming. Lakers win title in 2020 but it always felt like PG belonged on the Lakers. Its problem too late now because of the money but we definitely would've taken care of him extension wise and the burden on his body wouldve been lowered

      Dudes a fan of the greats and knows he will never be that great. Didn't put enough work in, never had that killer mentality. He had great moments in his career but he isn't a great player. Just an above average player. Nowadays he is more of a fan than an actual player. Him on podcasts was a move to keep his clout and gain more media attention, hoping for another good NBA contract but he also knows his body isn't performing like it used to and he doesn't want to push it. Maybe his podcast shit is to tell contending teams "Hey I might not be an allstar anymore but I got knowledge all around me, I can contribute to winning a chip." I doubt it's gonna work tho. I think most fans are gonna get burnt out on PG before he even retires.

What credit can you take for taking a Michael Jordan or Prime Derrick Rose and training them? The talent and drive is there you’re just riding the wave!!! If you want to prove your worth go train Ben Simmons or a Kwame Brown to prove you’re the best trainer in the world!
