    Great tutorial!!!
    I have the same controller 7218 with mxus 3k (20s, 5t, 19" moto). For now everything works, but two things I do not understand.
    First: I have hall throttle. And TPS type is set on 1. And it works fine. How? However it works on 2 as well. Confusing.
    Second; I have set Current Percent to 100% and Battery Limit to 50%. So, acording to Your explanation, Kelly should draw 40A from battery (half of 80A rated continuos). But my current clamp meter shows that kelly draws 100A from battery when accelerating full. I did not try to set Battery Limit to 100% to see if kelly would draw 200 amps because my clamp meter can not show that much. Although in user manual for 7218 it is written that kelly can pull 200 amps for 20 seconds. So I'm thinking that Battery Limit is not percentage of 80A continuous rating but percentage of 200A max rating. At least for that 20 seconds. But 20 seconds on 200A would launch you to max speed on 10% uphill with seconds to spare:) Any thoughts on that?

      Hello @berislavtopol1404 and thank you.
      A resistive throttle and hall sensor throttle at the end give out a very similar signal; an approx. 0V to 5V signal.
      That is why it works. But better use parameter "2" instead of the "1"
      About the current adjustments:
      "Battery Limit" refers to current that comes in the controller. But it is not as precise as we will like you have to play a little with the percentages until you get what you want.
      "Current percent" refers to the current that goes out of the controller to the motor, that is AC current.

    • @gonzalop.chomon327
      @gonzalop.chomon327  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @gonzalop.chomon327
      @gonzalop.chomon327  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@smelker You can only modify the top speed for each "speed gear" at the parameters, but actually I noticed a slightly different behavior of the motor at each speed, like having less acceleration at low speed and higher acceleration at high speed.
      So it is possible that the software has some internal setup that changes power as well. (I am not fully sure about this)
      Anyway if you limit the top speed you will be always using less current in general operation.

      In some of the trapezoidal Kelly controllers you can change the "Control Mode" Value range: Torque/Balanced/Speed and by default is on Torque mode. Meaning that the throttle will mostly act as a torque regulator.
      While in the Sinusoidal Kelly controller you do not have that option and it is set up by default at a balanced range. So throttle controls torque and speed on a more reasonable way.
      Anyway you can modify the starting torque and acceleration changing the PID values as commented in the videos.

      There is no need of any kind of protection on the throttle signal it is only 5V and very low power.

      Hi @@omniamohamed6392 If the controller gives an error when the throttle signal reaches its top limit, then you will have to increase a little the parameter: "TPS High Err", this parameter indicates the controller where is the top limit signal of the throttle.
