Según tu video el error lo da antes de conectar el acelerador/freno. Por lo cual no creo que estén relacionados. El error 4,4 es un error de daño del controlador, pero como bien dices según el manual aplica en el 8080-I. No se si sera lo mismo para tu modelo. Siento no poderte ayudar mas.

Hello @berislavtopol1404 and thank you. A resistive throttle and hall sensor throttle at the end give out a very similar signal; an approx. 0V to 5V signal. That is why it works. But better use parameter "2" instead of the "1" About the current adjustments: "Battery Limit" refers to current that comes in the controller. But it is not as precise as we will like you have to play a little with the percentages until you get what you want. "Current percent" refers to the current that goes out of the controller to the motor, that is AC current.

@cutlascutlas5830 Comprueba que el circuito de sensores esta bien, osea que no están roto o no funciona y que están bien instalado y alineado. Mira que el motor pueda girar libremente sin restricciones o rozamiento. Comprueba que tienes correctamente el parámetro "Speed Sensor Type" de tipo de sensor de motor. Intenta a subir un poco el parámetro "Motor Nominal Curr". Un detalle: si el número de polos del motor es 5, el valor para el parámetro "Motor Poles" seria 10.

Sigue igual a pesar de hacer lo que dijiste, también probé subir a 90 el "motor nominal curr" sin éxito, revise el imán de los sensores hall y están alineados, he medido la impedancia de los sensores hall y todos tienen 2.08 mega ohmios, el motor no gira libremente tiene un ligero freno

Hola, Revisa que la identificación de ángulos de los sensores de motor se hizo correctamente. Lo ideal sería hacerla de nuevo. También revisa los valores de "TPS High Err" y "TPS High Err" el primero bajalo un poco (un 5%) y el segundo súbelo un poco (5%). Me comentas si mejora.

Hi @@omniamohamed6392 If the controller gives an error when the throttle signal reaches its top limit, then you will have to increase a little the parameter: "TPS High Err", this parameter indicates the controller where is the top limit signal of the throttle. Avoid if possible to set it at 100% because then you may lose the controller capacity to detect a fault in the throttle.

Probably one of the pots is voltage, another one amperage and the last one threshold. There will be some ranges that you will be able to play with in all of them. Set the voltage at upper limit of your battery and set the amperage low for start. Leave the threshold as it is (provably around 10%) Another point: Usually it is a VERY bad idea to mix batteries; different models, old with new, etc. The fires you see in the news are usually for this king of battery mishandling.

En un principio: Puede estar el pedal de acelerador estropeado o puede estar mal configurado. Comprueba la señal del acelerador con un voltímetro, esta debe rondar de 0V a 5V, siendo lo más cercano a 0V (0,5-1V) cuando no estas acelerando. Y ha de subir hasta approx. 5V (4,5V normalmente) cuando está acelerado a tope. Si la señal la da bien entonces es la configuración; Los parámetros de que comento en el video sobre el acelerador.

Gracias por tu respuesta, el controlador alimenta al pedal a 12VDC y estoy intentando saber como puedo cambiar esa salida de voltaje, para el acelerador, pero no ha sido posible, no da la opción en los parámetros de configuración. adicional a eso, en el conector del acelerador, tengo 4 cables y no tres como normalmente se usa en los aceleradores.@@gonzalop.chomon327

@@leonelestidthramirez4081 Este controlador necesita señal de 5V como te he comentado. Lo mas facil seria instalar un acelerador preparado para 5V. EL controlador tiene salida de 5V para ese dispositivo y otros que funcionen a ese voltaje, por ejemplo los hall sensor del motor.

@jeanterine4712, 3-4 flashing light means: Angle Sensor Error: It can be: - Connected the phase wires or the hall sensors wires on the wrong combination - Damaged hall sensors - Identification angle procedure not made or failed - Wrong setup of kind of sensor I bet for the first or third reason ;)

It refers to the physical motor poles not the "electrical" motor poles.

Recomendable on your setup but not mandatory as you are at quite low voltage.

@leonelestidthramirez4081 el código de error 1,3 es de bajo voltaje de batería. Posiblemente tu bateria no tiene suficiente voltaje y/o has puesto un parámetro de voltaje incorrecto en la configuración.

@@leonelestidthramirez4081 Podría ser un mal contacto entre la batería y el controlador. Pero primero has de mirar lo mas obvio; si por ejemplo tu batería es de 48V y el controlador tiene el parámetro de voltaje de batería a 60V entonces el controlador te da ese fallo.

El parámetro que has de poner es el número de polos x 2 Que equivale al número de imanes. Si es necesario mira el video de nuevo que lo explico bien.

@jamesfraser7483 Yes, it is commonly used for ABS and other plastics. Don't know about ASA. But you have to find the right solvent for each plastic. I believe they use acetone for ABS.

Hi @ubcnme1 while at the manual says you need a 12V signal to activate the 3 speed functions. While at the manual says it needs a 12V signal. It actually does not work. And it has been reported that using ground signal to activate them does work.

@gonzalop.chomon327 Hi I actually got the 3 speed function to work. I installed a 3 way toggle switch. I got 12 Volts from pin 11. And in the app I changed the setting to #2 for 3 speed and it works like a charm. I have Eco, medium, and full power.

Si la batería es de Litio y de unos 60V de voltaje nominal; necesitarás que el cargador dé hasta unos 67V, que es voltaje de una batería de litio de 60V (nominal) cargada.

¿Que laminador usas?

El voltaje de salida del cargador debe corresponder con el máximo que admite tu batería. Si es más bajo entonces no cargara al 100% la batería. De todas maneras yo siempre cargo solo hasta el 80-90% para prolongar la vida de la batería. Osea que no cargarla a tope, no solo no la daña sino que es beneficioso en el caso de las baterías de Litio. Ahora bien si necesitas el 100% de carga entonces tienes que mirarlo.

Lo que comentas es una averia tipica de los sensores del motor (Alguno/s se ha estropeado) HAcen que no arranque o arranque erráticamente y/o se pare. Lo extraño es que conectando el PC se arregle temporalmente. Comprueba los sensores del motor y todo los cableados del motor y del controlador para empezar.

Puede ser el acelerador o las 3 velocidades???? xq he descubierto recién que cuando se presenta la falla paso de 1ra, 2da y 3ra velocidad y se soluciona la falla

@@cutlascutlas5830 Uff podría ser incluso una fase de motor que este mal. Lo primero revisa todos los cables y conexiones a conciencia.

To clarify now I'm pretty sure it's bringing the 2-3 error code which is supposedly over temp protection. I think I might have a short in my wiring harness somewhere but I'm really not sure. Do you have any idea which wires if shorted would cause an over temp error?

​@@carlton88444 Hi Carlton, On our first post you say error code 3-2 (internal reset) and on your second post you say error code 2-3 (over-temperature) As per you describe when it happens (Pussing throttle too hard) it is more likely to be a internal reset due to a momentary drop of voltage or momentary over current. First check all cables and conexions, make sure you are using the correct wire gauges, connectors, etc. to make sure there is minimal losses. I recommend you to not set the Battery Current and Motor Current at 100%. I noticed that this controllers do not perform well when set them at 100% in any value. So use 99% or lower in any of the % parameters. A 1% difference does not make a big difference after all. An probably it will solve your 3-2 error.

@@gonzalop.chomon327 thank you Gonzalo! I will adjust the parameters and see if that helps. I do believe that I have gotten both the 3-2 and 2-3 error codes at different times. The issue first starting happening with 3-2 internal reset error code when I would punch the throttle too hard. I would have to plug and unplug the battery in order to reset this code. Then just yesterday I started encountering a different problem. When I would hit the throttle even with no load it would stop, start flashing 2-3 over temp a couple times and then it would reset back to green automatically. My guess is that I have something loose in the wiring because occasionally I would move the controller and wires around and then briefly it would work normally. In addition to the 100% setting for percentages causing problems do you think that loose wires could also cause these issues? I'm also curious about wire gauge. I'm running 8 gauge wire from the battery and they're not very long. The phase wires are the standard relatively thin wires that come stock, probably 22 gauge. I would think they would be too thin but after 10 miles of riding I immediately checked them for heat and they barely got warm. All of the wires were cool and the motor was only at around 125 degrees Fahrenheit, not even too hot to touch with a barehand. I will go through all 3 of these and report back. @@carlton88444 8 AWG for battery - controller wires looks very right to me for your motor (1000W+) anyway check that the connections/connectors do not get hot. The phase wires can be thinner than expected as they are running alternate current (AC). It is possible that a bad connection (loosen wire) or shortcut on any of the signal wires that in somehow interferes with the controller can cause a problem/s like you mention, check all them out.

@@gonzalop.chomon327 still can't get rid of the temp sensor error code. 2-3. So I bought another controller, a vesc type. I wonder if I shorted one of the wires on accident that in turn shorted the controller's internal thermistor, but I don't know.

Yes, sometimes I had difficulties with the cable. Usually after several attempts disconnecting the battery and so on I was able to connect. Try to add a ferrite ring to the cable because it maybe noise problems. Heard that using Android app instead of PC app works better but never tried myself.

Never used Bluetooth connection with this controllers. So it is very little help I can give you there, sorry. Can you try to connect directly to a PC?

@@jrides4983 El error de "Over Volt" significa que al controlador le está entrando o saliendo (en frenada regenerativa) un voltaje más alto del que soporta, o bien que que está programado para un voltaje menor. 1- Revisa el voltaje máximo al que está programado el controlador y ajusta según tu batería. 2- Si sigue dando error; desactiva cualquier tipo de frenada regenerativa. 3- Si sigue con el error; entonces deberás poner una batería de menor voltaje o un controlador que aguante mas voltaje. 4- También pudiera ser que el controlador estuviera defectuoso.

Hola Alexi: Se me ocurren 3 causas para ese problema: 1- No están conectados los cables de fase y/o los cables de los sensores en la combinación correcta. 2- El procedimiento de identificación de ángulo de sensores no se ha realizado, o no se ha realizado correctamente. 3- El motor tiene algun/os "hall sensor" dañado/s.

It works as a mix of both, torque and speed control. Twitching the PID values you can move from a torque controlled monitoring to a speed one. But never one or the other purely.

Thank you for the response. Do you know what is the logic of the "mix"? I'm sending successfully thrust cmds (0-5V)from a Computer to a Kelly controller that rotates some Motor. I also sample the hall sensors of the motor for velocity measuring . My goal is to control the velocity of the motor. If the thrust cmd is a transferred to Torque or Velocity I can build a simple Velocity Control Loop , but if its a "mix" , thats just a mess 😞

@@Travellerrrr Telling you the truth: There is almost none information how to "Tune" the PID in this controllers. Let's say that the throttle signal is more related to speed than torque at low PID numbers. I have found that the default PID values in some motors are overkill at accelerations, while with other motors are lame. So I move them up or down until I find a nice driving experience.

Usually the red light will flash with a code, 3-2 or 4-3 or whatever. At the end of the manual you will find what every code means. If you can not find it let me know the code and I will try to help you.

I never had that issue, so I don't know how to help there. Sometimes if the voltage is too high the controller does not start and becomes difficult to connect to it. The way to solve it is to connect the controller to a low voltage source (Battery or power supply) and try to connect and reprogram. I do not know if it is possible to change the firmware on a Kelly controller. There is no firmware database at Kelly´s web page nor procedure about how to do it. I suggest you connect to Kelly to see if they can help.

Para ajustar esos valores adecuadamente lo ideal es tener un banco de pruebas (banco de potencia y velocidad), pero entiendo que muy pocos tienen acceso a uno de las características necesarias. Pero al menos se pueden ajustar un poco para aumentar o disminuir la aceleración. Para ello has de subir o bajar los 3 parámetros (Kp, Ki, Speed Error), en bloques de: 1000 unidades el "Torque Speed Kp", 80 unidades el "Torque Speed Ki" y "400 unidades el Speed Err Limit" respectivamente. Subiendolos se consigue más aceleración y bajandolos se consigue menos aceleración.

Seleccioné la opción cero en "three speed" y ahora tiene más velocidad, pero cuando selecciono la opción 2 en "three speed" tiene poca velocidad y la misma velocidad en 3ra, 2da y 1ra.

Revisa como lo has cableado.

Primero conecté el pin 11 en medio de pin 22 y pin 12 (en un interruptor de 3 posiciones), al medir voltaje el pin 11 da 9.4 v pensé que por eso no funcionaba por lo que en vez del pin 11 le puse 12v del convertidor dc-dc y nada sigue igual. Conecté 12v al pin 22 o pin 12 no hay cambio de velocidad sigue en la configuración que le ponga en velocidad media. th-cam.com/users/shortsnymAlXGva28?feature=share

Se me ocurre dos cosas que pudieran causar este problema: 1.- El acelerador está estropeado. 2.- Esta muy bajo el valor del parámetro "TPS Dead Low" y no detecta correctamente el punto de parada. Pudiera ser otro problema pero ahora mismo no se me ocurre mas.

A la entrada del controlador hay un banco de condensadores que al conectar la batería sin pre-cargarlos pueden producirse daños. Si la batería está siempre conectada entonces no sería necesario el sistema precarga.
