i'm sliding through cause i'm looking at this pairing with the 172a i have which is really brilliant. and i've previously owned 76's and 2a's in the past. but when mitch started talking to him his countenance is so strong that dude started talking g back to mitch in his own tone and
demeanor haha. you have to pay attention but it had me dying.

The Urei has a lot more sustain and midrange information than the BLA 172a, However the BLA 172a compression is a lot more controlled and has a lot high end information. When it comes to mixing todays Music, the clones/ the cheaper options never really provide that smooth mid-range translation. But for the price one would say it sounds pretty good.

Drum sounds great on urei for 100% the tail on the snare is so yummy. But BLA is useful still on other sources.
