I like how you make your gyms disability friendly with elevator type things in the grass gym and visuals with the music in the electric gym. That’s a nice thing to do.
Micheal, I really appreciate your inclusion and thought of disabled people in your ideas. It makes me feel really welcome, not to mention not many people have that kind of thing in mind most of the time. Love your gym leader concepts!

Toxtricity is meant to be the players ace. Thats why they give it to you after the first gym, along with some candies. Plenty of time to train it up, along with a lot of time to recognize its potential and easily become a favorite

I think I would be a poison type gym leader. It’s my favorite type and has very low representation in the gym department. I’m thinking a chemistry lab with smog that blocks your view and causes you to bump into trainers. You need to activate fans to open the door to the leader
Poison is my favorite type too. So many great 'mon ever since generation 1 came from it. If I was a gym leader, i'd go with my second favorite typing, ground. It is a pretty decent type, and also has very little representation. Their's giovanni, and then clay and that was it. I would be a geologist, and keeping with this theme, the gym would have cracked & uneven flooring everywhere (probably with lots of ledge jumps), and your goal would be to go to a section, flip a switch, and make the floor even again, so you can go challange me. This is based on tectonic plates, and i thought this would fit since I'm a ground gym. I would give the player earthquake, and the badge could probably be based on soil, i'll just call it the DIRT BADGE.
So who’s gonna tell him that there’s a real tree house city you can stay in? Oh fine, I’ll do it. Hey Michael, there’s a place called “Finca Bellavista Treehouse Community” in Costa Rica.
This comment go more likes than I thought. I was hoping Michael would see it (and he did) but I would have never thought it would be the most liked comment (at the time of typing this). Edit: Never mind, that title has been handed out to another.
Honestly, for the Galar gym I was expecting one of your Pokémon to have the ability drizzle or the move rain dance so that thunder would never miss. For example, rain dance on Lanturn and thunder on Vikavolt
I appreciated the "if I had to limit myself to only Hoenn Pokemon" bit, being someone who also started in Hoenn and only really knows about Pokemon from Unova and below.

Not a bad Electric Gym idea. I might suggest giving Vikavolt Mud Shot instead of Thunderbolt, to cover its two weaknesses of Fire and Rock. Another possible Electric Pokémon could be Heliolisk, so it could abuse Parabolic Charge for healing, and use either Grass Knot or Surf for Ground coverage.
Michael: The goggles are to shield my eyes when flying Also Michael: She died in a flying accident! I don't think that's a safe place to go flying about
I decided to try to think of what kind of gym leader I'd be, and I ended up with a much more detailed idea than I expected, and I'm quite satisfied. I would be a fire-type gym leader in Unova, specifically during the events of Black and White 2. My gym would be located in Driftveil City, thus replacing Clay. The story would be that Clay was remodeling his gym and accidentally dug into a dormant volcano, causing said volcano to erupt and ruin the gym. Because it was so far underground, the damage to the city would be minimal, but the environment would have changed. The cold storage would be gone and replaced with a hot spring. Clay would have to retire due to injuries he sustained from the eruption, and later on, I would come along and rebuild the gym with a volcanic motif. The layout of the gym would be several platforms in the middle of a pool of lava, with trainers having to cool down sections of lava to make bridges. There would be a big volcano in the middle which would occasionally shake. The theme around my gym is subversion of expectation. My personality, both irl and as a gym leader, is very quiet and reserved, which I think would be an amusing irony for a fire-type specialist, since all the others who had appeared by B2W2's release (Blaine, Flannery, and Chili) are incredibly energetic, so a fire-type gym leader who's calm would be the opposite of what the player would expect, and my gym would reflect that. Trainers would be told that the volcano in the middle of the gym might erupt if they take too long, but it never actually will. As a gym leader, I imagine I'd have an odd (and strictly platonic) friendship with Roxie, since we're both new to the gym leader lineup yet our personalities are basically polar opposites (I'm a quiet person and she literally sings in a band). We'd want to include Cheren in our circle of friends, but he would initially be hesitant and refuse, though he'd eventually come around. My team would consist of Darmanitan (my ace that has it's hidden ability letting it become fire/psychic, the latter being my other favorite type), Heatmor, Volcarona (Alder's no longer champion in B2W2 so it wouldn't overlap with him), and Chandelure. I'd add either Arcanine or Ninetales in challenge mode depending on version as a reference to them being exclusives in other games, and both in the Pokemon World Tournament. Keeping with the volcano motif, the badge I give out would be the Igneous Badge, and in line with the long, thin style of Unova's badges, it would be shaped like a long, thin volcano peak with lava flowing out of the top and down the sides.

Yep, I already have made my own Water/Fairy-Type Gym in the Unova region consisting of a Sylveon named Livi, a Samurott named Shelly, Poppy the Primarina, Dascbun called Sugar, a Fizin named Bubbles (great dolphin Pokemon) and a Dianice named Jewel, with Shelly the Samurott as my ace Pokemon. I was going to include the Alolan Ninetails, until I have seen the dolphin and how cute and awesome it looks. Victini (nicknamed Ellie) doesn't count because it's a Fire/Pyschic-Type. Finally if I was only allowed one starter, then it will be a Swanna (nicknamed Odelette) instead of the Primarina.
Mikey: "my gym would be the 8th gym. Also mikey: * puts his gym in the third town. Edit: I never played gen 1 or know much about it, so I didn't know about Giovanni.
3:35 yes, lanturn is a lot useful, i had it in my sword playthrough, it helped me a lot because water is weak to electric, and so the pokemon and trainer AI bases on this type match the whole battle, but lanturn has the ability to heal himself if you use electric against him. for everyone: if you happend to catch the pre-evolution of lanturn, chinchou, or lanturn, keep it in the team, it is useful, a lot
If I made a ground gym my team would be: Nidoking, digtrio, G max Sandaconda also donphan hippodawn ( sorry for bad spelling on hippodawn.) same puzzle and region
Gym: Bug Puzzle: bug catching (similar to wooloo challenge in milo's gym) Pokemon: escavalier or accelgor ( depending on your game), orbeetle, vespiquen, araquanid, rimbombee, and signiture pokemon being Gmax butterfree
Oh no im not that good at doubles my ground types usually resist boomburst but that damn thing has levitate so my only saving grace is only a pokemon with crunch or if my ground type had mold breaker or any pokemon that has mold breaker and can learn earthquake or high horsepower or drill run
This is a good video. The concepts are great, and I can imagine this actually being a gym in the games. Good work, Michael! Let us hope Lord Helix and Arkoos bestow your wish upon you

Gacha Cake Roll I honestly think its a good team! I like how you went with your own region, and, unlike me, Actually designed your character and told how she would look. I also appreciate how you said your gym leaders age, and mine would be the same age aswell since thats how old i am and the gym leader would basically be me. A mega sylveon is a great idea and honestly, Im personally scared of sylveon, so it would be a great team member.Your team is great and I think it would work in game! Phew that was alot of typing.
Personally, I would be a dark type leader with a gym similar to that of Fortina in Platinum. I love the flashlight mechanic and that people can choose how many trainers to fight. The puzzle however would be with turning on lights in a certain order, which count as flashlight areas, and if a trainer looks at you while in the area, no matter the distance, it would cause a battle.
Type: Ghost Puzzle: Maze with trainers and even puzzles within Team: Chandelure, Gengar, Aegislash, Dragapult, Decidueye(ace) City: Humilau City Region: Isn't it obvious? Congrats you got the Phantom Badge

Find the right book on the said decipher) first room will be the unown symbols, decipher these symbols, decipher it wrong, you will challenge the trainer. Second room is deciphering hieroglyphics, and last room will be the gym leader's room, in order to battle me, you need to answer a certain riddle that I adore so much.
I like to think that even though Castform wasn’t in the teams, he’d still be there floating around and help. In Galar, Castform would make it rain, and in Hoenn, Castform would summon sun. It would even give you the gym badge!

Maybe in 20 years well get a 2nd gen 2 remake. Also, Id pick Goldenrod, and my theme would be wall:D (and yes Ill have a Miltank:D) Or Eeveelutions, since they do say its a "cute" pokemon gym.

I absolutely love these “If I Was a Gym Leader” type videos! It really shows how creative people can be! And for anyone who wants to describe what they’d do if they were a gym leader, feel free to comment below! If not, have a nice day regardless! 😊
You are clearly fishing... and it worked! I would be a water type gym leader in Couriway town in Kalos. My gym would employ the use of waterfalls and to get to me, you would have to use the ride Pokémon version of waterfall. There would be rocks in the waterfall to prevent progress, so a trainer would be fought and a button would be pressed. My theme is napping to the sound of waterfalls, so at the top of the gym I just sit there in my hammock. My team would be Empoleon, Greninja, Lapras, and my prime Pokémon Vaporeon. My lapras can gmax and is for tearing down opponents against my incredibly balanced Vaporeon. I know Siebold is a water trainer, but he quit to be a full time cook ok? Thanks for reading!
I would run a ghost mono team in lavender town in kanto. My gym would be right next to the tower to defend it after what team rocket pulled in red and blue last time. My gyms puzzle would honestly be straight forward and use alittle help from the ghost pokemon of the tower. It would be a maze with a gastly leading you through the gym releasing cries at every room. The trick is that at every room, it enters the next room before you when you find it, other ghost types will be standing at other doors looking like gastly to fool you. How you beat the puzzle is listening to their cries when you interact with them, which they can't change to fool you. If you get it right you move on, if it's wrong they battle you. It's five puzzle roome in total to complete. I would be waiting at the end for you to battle. My team would be for starting, Mismageus, Haunter Sableye Dusclops Shedninja (focus sashed of course) And Spirtomb as my ace. My theme would probably be some creepy nightime flute and chime music.
I already commented this, but seeing these seem to make you happy, and hey, if a little thing can make someone smile, why not? Gym: Fire Puzzle: I've always loved poke-shows from the anime, so that because it helps trainers grow a bond with their pokemon. You would get a costume area, and dress up yourself and your team. You also get to keep your costumes at the end. Team: Delphox, Flarion, Blazakin, Talonflame, and Centiskorch City: Can I make one up? I'm gonna make one up. It's a small village city in the mountains, that has a history of using fire to create beautiful pottery, eat, and light their homes. Because of this, fire is important to their culture. The city is named Moeru Kokoro, Which means "burning heart" in Japanese. Region: Kalos. Sorry, this is long! Also, all my pokemon would have nicknames of course
Michael now: Grass is my 2nd favorite type right behind electric Michael in his Unique typings that I want video: My second favorite type Fire Me: You changed dude?
His opinion changes. I remember when Torterra was his 4th favorite Pokemon, but later did not even put it in his top 10 because gliscor is his new favorite ground type.
My gym Location: Castelia City Type: Steel Puzzle: I would make trainers put swords in special doors, but you only get the swords by batting gym trainers. Team: Empoleon, Magnezone, Ferrothorn, Metagross, Honeedge, and Alolan Sandslash
Here would be my Gym and Type Specialty for each region. I don't care if I use a type that is used by another major boss since the Johto region set precedent for that with Clair and Lance, Bruno and Chuck, Koga and Janine, and Will and Sabrina. Same will apply to ace Pokémon. If I use a type already used by a Gym Leader, just assume I replaced them by either beinh their predecessor or being worthy of the role. I'll also explain the Gym Puzzle. Kanto: I would be a Ground Type Gym Leader, replacing Giovanni and after successing Blue. My team would be Sandslash, Marowak, Dugtrio, Nidoking, and my ace, Rhydon. The puzzle would involve using Dig on a Pokémon in order to navigate up and down between different layers of the Gym and access the room I lay in, seperated from the rest of the first floor. The Gym Badge would remain as the Earth Badge, but changed to be a faultline splitting a piece of the PokéEarth, emblematic of the TM I give you, Earthquake. Johto: For Johto, I would be an Ice Type Gym Leader, taking over after Pryce retires. My team would consist of Dewgong, Sneasel, Cloyster, Jynx, and either Piloswine or Mamoswine depending on which Johto games are used. The Gym Puzzle would be the same as Pryce's since I feel like he'd enjoy having me keep it the same. The Gym Badge would remain the same but the TM I'd give you would be either Ice Beam in a Gen 2 Johto game or Avalanche in a Gen 4 Johto remake game. Hoenn: For Hoenn, I would be a Poison Type Gym Leader. The team would be Muk, Roselia or Roserade depending on which version of Hoenn is used, Weezing, Crobat, and the ace, Seviper. The Gym Puzzle would involve mixing chemicals in order to correctly make the chemical formula shown on the screen. A customary Perodic Table will be provided. The badge would be known as the Chemical Badge and be shaped like a flask with bubbling chemicals inside. The TM you receive would be Sludge Bomb. Sinnoh: I would be a Dark Type Gym Leader using Spiritomb, Absol, Drapion, Honchkrow, and my ace, Weavile. The Gym Puzzle is simple. Its like Koga/Janine's Gym but completely in the dark. The badge is known as the Void Badge and is simply a black hole imprinted on a badge. The TM you receive is Payback, used by the slower Dark Type on my team such as Spiritomb and Honchkrow. Unova: For Unova, I would be a Fighting Type Gym Leader, using Scrafty, Toxicroak, Heracross, Lucario, and Mienshao as the ace. The Gym Puzzle would involve running on treadmills to open up secret pathways where you must test your strength both by defeating a trainer and by having your Pokémon punch one of those miniature punching bags used to test your strength that you see in many arcades. These will only open up the way to the main path is you hit them with the Pokémon in your party with the highest Attack stat AT THE TIME. Its not based on base Attack stats, but on who in your party at that moment has the highest attack. The badge would be the Combat Badge and be shaped like a black belt in martial arts. The TM received is Drain Punch. Kalos: I would be a Dragon Type Gym Leader with a very powerful team of _all Psuedos, all with Steel Type coverage moves._ Do I care about balance? No. Do I care about levels? Also no. The team would be Dragonite, Goodra, Salamence, Garchomp, and the ace is the Pokémon of peak perfection, Hydreigon. I will not use a Mega because... I mean, just look at my team, I wouldn't need one. Besides, Mega Garchomp is too slow anyways so why bother with it over regular Garchomp? As for the puzzle, it'd be a test of navigating a castle lair with several traps, trainers, and the occasional chase scene and historical reference. The badge would be the Castle Badge and the TM you receive is Dragon Pulse. Alola: For Alola, I would be the new Dark Type Kahuna, taking over for Nanu. The new team would be Alolan Muk, Zoroark, Honchkrow, Pangoro, and the ace, Weavile (I like to believe Nanu would keep his team in retirement but if not, I'd make Krookodile the ace). Kahunas don't have puzzles, so one will not be used here. Of course, the Island Emblem and Z Crystal received would remain the same. Galar: Like with Kalos, I'd be a Dragon Type Gym Leader, taking over after Raihan becomes Champion. My team would also be simular to Kalos since it'd be consisting of all Psuedos and all with Steel Type coverage. The team would be Goodra, Salamence, Dragonite, Dragapult, and a Dynamaxing Hydreigon as the ace because Hydreigon is better than all of the Gigantamax Forms and better than any Pokémon in general. Plus, given Raihan's preference for Sandstorm and him being the Champion, I feel like he'd use Tyranitar, Dracovish, Garchomp, and Kommo-o alongside his Flygon and Gigantamax Duraludon as a Champion anyways. As for the Gym Puzzle, its simply a gauntlet of Gym Battles where the trainer you face uses Dragon or Dragon-like Pokémon who can use the four main elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. As for the Champion's Cup, my team would be the same but with Garchomp added on. The Gym Badge would be the same but instead of receiving a TM, you receive five copies of a TR since I feel like you'd deserve it after beating five Psuedo Legendaries. The TR would be Outrage.
Gym:Normal Type The gym would be set up like a maze and whenever you defeat a gym trainer, a new path opens up. My Team will also consist of: Ditto(with imposter) Porygon Z Toucannon Oranguru Snorlax Bouffalant(Ace Pokemon) ..and they're all in premier balls, my favorite ball. I'd be the 7th gym leader in the Unova region. I'm the replacement for Cheren.
Gym type: Ghost Puzzle: a series of walls that disappear and reappear based on how many times you walked into the room. Pokemon: Golurk. He's my tank as well as ground coverage for the 2 members of my team weak to fire. Decidueye: it's my favorite starter pokemon of all time, so it deserves a place here. Frosslass: ice is my favorite type, and frosslass is such a cool pokemon. It would be a special sweeper. Alolan Marowak: My favorite Alolan type pokemon, and a really cool fire/ghost type Mimikyu: my counter to the dark type with it's signature z move "let's snuggle forever" Finally my Ace, a shiny Mega Gengar. Gengar is my second favorite pokemon of all time, so he gets a spot on my team. He would be my highest level pokemon, he would put opponents to sleep then use dream eater to damage when it needs to heal. He would also have sludge bomb for poison coverage and shadow ball for when opponents are awake.
I just realized the number 99 and JJ Watt also apply to the electric theme because of his last name “Watt.” As in a wattage, gigawatts, and all that other fun electronic stuff

@@captaindoesyoutube7925 That sounds brutal.

Boy you are Freakin genius writing this

I'd probably be a Steel Type gym leader since my dad's a welder and I love him.
The most powerful pokemon in my team would probably be Aegislash, I hear he's pretty powerful from a competitive standpoint plus I think it would be befitting to have a sword pokemon in a Steel Type gym.
As for me I think I will be a psychic type gym leader and my ace is gardevoir she is my favorite pokemon and is pretty good having a base state total of 518

I would be a ground type gym leader.
Garchomp (mega), Flygon, Mamoswine, Golurk, Camerupt, Rhyperior
Itd be a single battle. Idk what else to add.
My team would be for starting, Mismageus,
Haunter
Sableye
Dusclops
Shedninja (focus sashed of course)
And Spirtomb as my ace.
I would try to do my gym leader work as good as possible.
Imagine if you have MandjTV as your last gym leader, then your team was:
Filled with Grass, Ground, Rock and Fire types
Michael now: Grass is my 2nd favorite type right behind electric
Michael in his Unique typings that I want video: My second favorite type Fire
Me: You changed dude?
No think his second favourite type will change according to his convenience.
His opinion changes. I remember when Torterra was his 4th favorite Pokemon, but later did not even put it in his top 10 because gliscor is his new favorite ground type.
I didn’t say that
You did
Goku Yeet what do you mean?
My gym
Location: Castelia City
Type: Steel
Puzzle: I would make trainers put swords in special doors, but you only get the swords by batting gym trainers.

Kanto:
I would be a Ground Type Gym Leader, replacing Giovanni and after successing Blue.
