I like just having you talk to us about anything. It’s like visiting with a friend. Videos of you organizing, cleaning, decorating, walking the dog, gardening, singing, shopping…all are interesting.

Kay, what you called "random" is my jam. Was with you throughout, nodding at times in recognition. We here were your silent listeners, so thank you for opening up. Nascent. I learned that word years ago when I, too, struggled to articulate what was basically beyond words, and yet words are the way we make meaning. This is a fertile time, Kay. Trust it, and yourself. (This is where I'd share my own story if we were having tea together.) Sending you all the best.

It seems as soon as your singing career has taken off and brings you such joy, it is natural that you look at your life in general and reevaluate what is important to you and no longer makes you happy. Go with what makes YOU happy, I for one would miss you but that should not be your guiding light.

You have got this Kay! when we know it is time to take that break, we just know. Maybe you even change up that channel and have it as a mix of this one and organizing. No reason it has to stay exclusive to that theme. There are a large number of us who come here to hang out with you. Build the content you enjoy and it will resonate with a group. Just because you are good at something does not mean you have to do it forever. you are a fabulous Organizer, it's ok to change interests. You helped me organize, and you even got me to play videos games, which I am grateful for! Go forth and make videos you enjoy, do them on one channel to simplify for yourself, and stop looking at the stats. Just create without looking at them. See what happens.

You're one of the lucky ones that gets to do what they love AND get paid for it.

Kay, I too am an introvert, a bit shy, and usually take the safe life path, but every so often my gut points me in a different direction - and it has never been wrong! I completely changed my career at 40, big learning curve, and I loved it and did really well in my new career!! I never regretted it even though it was scary to do it. So.. Pursue your happiness! Listen to your gut and believe!! Do the hard thing if it gets you towards what your gut is telling you to do. People who love you want you to pursue your dreams and be happy!! Go get it!! We are all cheering you on!! Love you!!😘

Thank you for this. I'm a "busy" retired granny in MD. I ❤ your channel. I was also in choral groups, so I appreciate seeing you in that environment. You're one cool lady. Things will work out.

Deciding when, or if, to step away from something is always difficult. Like you said, trust your gut, take your time and do what’s best for you! You’ll figure this out and when you do, you’ll move on to an even better place. I have faith in you my friend! 💕

You're still torn and it sounds like you feel guilty about your decision. Don't be. Let go completely from that channel if you feel you need to. And yes listening to a friend when they are ofloading is invaluable too. And just as important is that lady on the bus with that backpack which was almost, almost as cute as your dress. That dress was a good choice. You looked lovely. Yes, follow your intuition. ❤

I jumped in to watch as soon as I saw it posted, not realizing that I missed quite a few. Will have to go back and catch up.
You are so right about your intuition.
I am also a musician and though it was a risky choice to leave teaching, it was the only one that would make me happy; poor, but satisfied.

You are very intelligent to listen to your inner voice. It is there to protect and guide you. I'm glad to see you follow that..yes listen to the wind. See the stars. Know you know instinctively what's best for you.

The CUTE dress debuted!! Um, I may need that veggie hoodie in my life. The person in front of you at rehearsal had it on her chair. We do need friends. They're our tribe, our pack. I feel honored that you're willing to be vulnerable with us here and grateful for the encouragement it is to others. We are very disconnected from nature and from one another and it does seem that it's getting worse. You may have been rambling, but good stuff came out. We don't value one another or our planet enough -- all precious. I've never had a therapist, but I'm also an only child and I definitely relate to the fact that you just learn to process on your own which is both good and bad. You should enjoy the things you spend great amounts of time doing. Life is short. It's okay to do what you love.

These kind of conversations are what I live for Kay!!! I got really emotional hearing the points you touched on. I've been catching up with all the uploads since I was behind and during each one I wanted to comment on lots of things but I got overwhelmed with my own thoughts 😅😆
First I gotta say, it's so sweet how much you care about all living creatures, even your plant babies 😭 Every time you talk about spooders it makes me feel a little less uneasy. Your spooder segments help disarm them for me and I hope to someday get to a place where I can feel comfy removing them whenever I spot one instead of instinctively go to wack em 😩😩
What you said about intuition is SO so true Kay!! I consider myself to be very spiritual, so things like intuition don't deter me or are weird to me. In the physical body our intuition is linked to our gut!! Also I'm in my 30's and struggle with loneliness because I don't have any friends locally. The handful I do have are all online; they live in different states and countries. I've always had people around me claim that loneliness is due to discomfort with being alone and I HATE that notion!! I love my alone time but human beings are inherently social creatures. We're not meant to go through life completely without a support system. We absolutely are pack animals!! I also think there's something in the air collectively because sense of purpose, reevaluating priorities, and pursuing passions has been such a theme that I've been noticing with many people, myself included!!!! I even watched Zach Highley's video that you mentioned out of curiosity to hear his story. Anyway, this is why I chickened out in commenting cause the things you share with us get me all rambly and yappy 😆😂
You have a wonderfully big heart Kay. Thank you for being yourself and sharing these aspects of your day and your thoughts with us 🤗💗

Chronic bottler of emotions here 🙋🏻‍♀️But I love these thoughts. Friendship matters so much! I feel so much happier when I seek social interaction even though I am a more introverted person. Also, it's so scary to put yourself out there but I have learned so much about myself as I have sought to become a writer.

I was a high school librarian and an urban school and for most of my career. I was fortunate enough to absolutely love my job. I’m glad you’re going to be following your passions and we all need time to be contemplating life and what we want for the short time we’re on this earth

Kay, I enjoy your content on this channel as well as the main channel. What I like most is that you are always authentic and a lot of what you are expressing resonates with me. Know that you are respected and appreciated for putting yourself out there like you do. Take the time you need for however long you need it. Your supporters will be here for you. And if you decide that the main channel is done, you will be missed but I personally understand. Everything for a reason and a season. Blessings to you, Yves and Clover ❤

😊 💐 👗. Hearing the 🎶 playing reminds of my 🩰 days and the orchestra playing inside the 🎭. 💯intinution and self soothing. Especially being an 80s kids therapy, and talking about our problems out loud was not a popular concept. The only options were: journal, talking with friends or keeping it to yourself which was not a healthy option, but not much was available at that time; and all of that emotions carry’s over into adulthood.

I enjoy these videos ( i almost typed visits becauae that's what it feels like). These are the things i think to myself (i need to get outside more, am i following my passion? I need to find a place to sing with a group). It's nice to hear someone else say them out loud, and i can nod and agree! Suitland high school? That is not far from me, and i know of people who have taught there or were/are students there. So much talent coming out of that school. So, i've commented on several of your videos tonight. I think this about wraps it up for now. It's been a very Kay week. I love vlogtober with you!🎉

I am going through a similar thing with my career. I am torn between doing something that will be best for me vs financially providing for my family. But I think I have finally found a way to do it is subtle change. I don’t want to let my kids down but doing something that I absolutely hate isn’t good for them to see either.

Intuition is a wonderful thing, if people acted on intuition more instead of cold logic the world would be a more beautiful place.
Iain Mcgilchrist has written beautifully on this topic and also on being in nature and the healing power of nature. Totally recommend his books!

We are not meant to do life alone., we do need each other.
