Thank you so much for sharing this. As someone who has had M.E for 22 years this has given me new hope. Im a fully qualified counsellor and was struck with M.E at a very stressful time in my life. I was so afraid that if i stopped pushing myself ridiculously hard my life would come crashing down. I ran on adrenalin ( fight/ flight) constantly until my body broke down. Its difficult to look at possible connections to our thoughts or see a psychologist because so many ignorant people tell us its ' in our minds'. The truth is its our thoughts that initially trigger the hormonal response of fight or flight. Thank you so much again for bringing this amazing content. I wish you all the best going forward. Be sure to put your Mom's loving support in your gratitude journal!!! You are very lucky to have each other. Much love from the West Midlands!! X

Oh my goodness, that makes so much sense.
I always thought my anxiety/depression caused my fight and flight symptoms, not the other way around.
This is fascinating. Totally changed my mindset and makes much more sense.
Can't thank you enough for sharing this with us. You ladies are honestly just amazing. You have helped me so much in the past few years. Thank you so much.
I'm also really happy for you McKenna. And the way you look at McKenna here Andrea is so sweet. With so much care and support. Very well done to you both xx

Well this is the first time ive been introduced to your channel and your vibe together is off the charts!! Im super close with my mum too (I am currently dealing with moderate-severe CFS) and ive just shown her your greg the bouncer analogy and we were both giggling. I see myself a lot in you funnily enough - similar bubbly vibe and also have taken a massive interest in all of these topics. One extra thing which i can HIGHLY recommend (particularly for any deeper traumas or even for tackling fears getting in the way of manifestations) is EFT (emotional freedom technique) - its been a game changer for me! Anyways just wanted to say i love your vibe and keep it up - youre doing a lot of good in the world by putting this vid out there xx

hi mckenna!! i just wanted to say thank you. i’ve struggled with severe anxiety ever since my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and have been going to therapy since, but there’s something really special and motivating about seeing a girl my age benefit from all the practices i’ve learned about. i’ve had these tools at my disposal for a while, but this video helped me realize that my bouncer (his name is Barry) was telling me that i’d never get better and so i shouldn’t even try. I will be trying ALL of the things you mentioned in this video starting today. i already feel more hopeful.

This video is amazing, not just for people with CFS but for everyone, especially young teenagers. I’m going to get me 16 yr old daughter to watch this as she feels anxious and overwhelmed at times and i sometimes don’t have to words to try and take the stress from her. I have also subscribed to that magazine as I have never seen it and it looks right up my street. I wish they taught things like this at school as students would relate to this xx 👏👏👏

Excellent video, so glad it’s working for you. I don’t suffer with chronic fatigue but listening to everything you were saying has given me the push I needed to book an appointment for therapy for other issues. I’m lucky that we have access to a therapist for free through my work but I still didn’t do anything about it but whilst listening to you, I’ve referred myself. Definitely not one for being vulnerable in any way at all - which is probably reason enough to seek counselling 😂 Thank you for the encouragement xx

Tomorrow I will listen to it again and make notes so I can remember the circle plan, the books and the podcast exercises etc. I'm so proud of you! Iv only just very recently started to value my own worth and after years of putting myself down iv literally just this year started to realise that yeah, actually I'm worthy so iv started speaking up for myself too and setting boundaries to stop the chain of being treated badly by some people . This was such a good video/chat!
I’ve worked with a lot of children with different needs/mental health issues and a lot of what you’ve talked about have been useful in smaller bite size sessions with children when they have had a meltdown down…after a cooling of period talking about different things that can help with strategies. Also breathing techniques are brilliant in a lot of different situations. Drawing can also help to distract the brain to think about something else and not the negative things that your ‘bouncer’ is trying to tell you something negative! Keep up the good work… sending positive energy/thoughts to you. X

Hi, first of all i want to say how beautifully you both banter with each other, bless, if anything the laughter & connection was perfect 🥰
I missed my daughter who has left home watching you guys but felt a joy too.i came across this video while i searched "cure into chronic fatigue", coincidentally it has been be 13 yrs for me too but only confirmed diagnosed was in 2020 & since then i have been working through it, every thing you said was bang on, both you & mum had good metaphor & how explaining things in a way made it helpful by examples given.
I am a little confused by one thing, your title of the video & to what understanding i am on, so all things covered by your video i agree & to what improvements i have seen with myself too, not having many crash as much aswell & doing better than before, does the cfs go completely, because i have come into terms of acceptance & having them rollercoaster rides i now work more on management & other techniques. I am a mother of five, 47 yrz old, body crashed after or maybe during last child birth, was in a verbal abusive relationship...
I have to add that i see dedication in reading the comments & hats off to you for replying to each one.
Also since the therapy & now where you at what is the time farme of changes, would you say your therapy was directed to cfs, i have had different types of therapy too, my last one was on trauma, i do feel much better & i am currently working to carry on moving forward with all the knowledge gained, the podcast came forward to me was "overwhelming brain" with the information you shared even it was known i still found it helpful to listen as it always good to refresh & the way you put it out so thank you so much. Self care & self love is so important regardless but i believe it gets translated in a way that it makes you feel being selfish, i work on communication too but when i was at peak my body was just not giving out the right msgz but now that i have worked & working on myself things are getting better, if anything not for others but for me defo! Although fatigue is throughout the body i have more exhaustion from moving around so i have had to practise alot on pacing & have challenges in doing things xtra, ie if i go out & then come home to do work then i know this is too much...
Sorry for the long comment, probz the first, maybe becuz the energy i felt was so related. Lot of love & blessings, will try to look at your other videos too.

Well Done McKenna & Thank You 💛, I bet you're one proud Mama Andrea 😍. I totally agree that positive thinking is so powerful but it can be hard so, every so often, I have to 're-train' my brain, especially at work so I can shift my perspective which can help with my overall wellbeing . I also have a good old chat with my body, especially when everyone around me has lurgies & I can feel a sniffle coming on 😷.. I just say ''Nope, I'm having none of that, no way, I am staying healthy'' & I imagine my cells blasting the germs away 💥😉. Have a good evening xx

I am working with a therapist who has me reading “When the Body Says No”. I agree it is easier to ingest if you listen to rather than read it. I do have to take it in short bursts but I am amazed at what I have learned about myself. Truly profound! Thank you for this video. I connect so much with your experiences,

This is like a relatable easier to understand version of The Chimp Paradox. Tried reading it, rather intricate but fascinating stuff. Im 52 and have suffered anxiety, ED, skin issues, IBS, low self esteem, obsessive behaviors, migraines blah blah blah, and now bouts of crushing fatigue and colds & flu, which hinder my 'Go To' coping mechanism which is exercise (extreme). All v complicated yet i know its intertwined and yes i know its stemmed from my childhood and a very negative critical controlling parent, whome i still deal with.. I think i need to reach out to a professional to try get this under control as its blighted too much of my life. Thank you for sharing this. ❤😊

Muslims say the gratitude prayer 5 times a day. When I was a kid I didn’t say it with the understanding I have today. I thought it was just an obligation but I kept learning about all the science behind it as I grew older. I now stop everything that is making me not present and pray when it’s the time to pray. I make sure I take 5 minutes to be present.
Thank you for your video and beautiful energies

Hiya, I watched this video when you first put it out and it really resonated with me. I think I may have had cfs most of my life, I have thought it was low thyroid function many times as I have all the symptoms, however as my bloods always come back normal, I blamed other things. I am going through tests again now in my 40s and am hoping I get somewhere. Thanks so much for sharing, would you maybe do an update to let us know how you’re getting on x

Yes I've read a lot about this theory - my 13 yo is chronically ill with POTS and we've been trying some of this alongside lots of whole food supplements and a physiotherapy programme. She also has Ehlers Danlos so possibly a bit of other stuff mixed into her picture - she was fully bedridden with POTS at 6 yrs of age. We call her limbic system "pimpy" lol and we talk to it and tell it everything is fine. I also think doing physio and exercises and not giving into the nausea and fatigue constantly sends a message to the brain that you are not scared and slowly turns this programming off.

I’ve related the stuttering on words to “Greg” coming up and saying “you’re acting a little bit to tipsy now, you need to take 5 minutes to compose yourself or you will have to leave” so we then go off and take the breaths because we aren’t letting “Greg” tell us we got to leave anywhere 😂✌🏼❤

It is so eye opening and lovely to hear topics like this spoke about on a platform that can often overshadow these issues. You’ve really used your platform for the right reasons here, and I hope as many people as possible can see it. I’m defo sharing with my friends! To struggle everyday with intrusive thoughts and find a way to mellow them out, honestly does change everyday life. And takes the negativity out of every other moment. And the whole three circles thing is such a simple amazing summary of it all, to put understanding behind why these thoughts and feelings happen. You should be super proud of yourself, and how you’ve articulated it all too! 💕💕💕
