His shows are super scripted and specific. In an interview he said one time he was having a panic attack on stage but his show is so scripted he can’t even step back for a second to calm down, so what makes you think you’re entitled to interrupt his show that he wrote and planned specifically for you (the audience)?
I feel like some people just get "chill dude" vibes from him and they want to feel like they're part of the show. Also him reacting to them and not ignoring them kind of contributes to it. Yeah it's funny but the more you react, the more people think it's okay; and with a show revolved around satirical and offensive humor, it could be difficult to tell if he genuinely wants people to stop or not. So it's not really that they feel entitled to do so, just that they might think it could contribute to the show. Though at the end of the day, good intentions or not, it's kind of rude to say the least.

If you let people heckle it will ruin your show, and you'll just have to hope that next time people just know you won't respond to them, like every one who goes to see a comedy show is a big fan who knows. It's a bad idea.

I just want to know how much of the show they say through before he pointed them out? I wonder how much they heard they heard? Lol
I remember going to the make happy screening in LA. He did a q and a after. I was a kid, and absolutely in love with this guy, but also INCREDIBLY shy and quiet. I was front row and waited 6 hours in line to be in the front row. I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t ask him SOMETHING. Again, I was so shy. So I raised my hand and very shyly asked if he gets heckled a lot. I KNEW he did, but didn’t really have anything else to ask in the moment. He was so sweet. So kind. Extremely gentle and smiled very kindly at me. Could tell I was shy and made sure I didn’t feel dumb for my dumb question.
He’ll forever be someone I look up to, even in adult life.

Bo Burnham is one of the most intelligent comedians of our time and i highly doubt he found it hard to not laugh at an overused ‘joke’ if you can call it that, that only little boys find funny. on top of that, shit like this is why Bo stopped performing because he thought people didn’t like him and the audience members frequently interrupting his show by heckling throwing him off and therefore he had panic attacks. so my point: i don’t at all think Bo found it hard to respond without bursting into laughter and that woman is hardly a legend for using an outdated overused joke.

Guys, I hope some of you realize that this is why Bo decided to stop his comedy act for a while. He thought people hated him. This isn't fair to him. He literally hated who he became. It's hard to do a comedy act for a bunch of people and to make everyone genuinely laugh and not offend anyone. His comebacks are super great tho...
The good thing is that he is being productive in his post-comedy career! He's currently focused on a cool project! :)

Ignorant. 1970s vidya cameras weren't camcorders. Most ppl didn't even have video cameras, but those who did often got much BETTER quality footage than phones from 2005-2013, or even some of our current 4K smartphones, bc of the large LENSES they used and the many Xx levels of optical zoom that have NEVER been good on phones. Most of these performances were filmed with pre-HD(1080p) phones between 2008 - 2013ish.

That was a genuinely horrifying thing that happened to those girls. That’s disgusting, the man who yelled that needs to be torn apart.

@@milescooper3525 There's still justification for him to be upset. His shows are more performance art than they are stand-up comedy, especially since music and body language are so important in a lot of the segments. Timing is literally the most important thing in the show, so if someone throws him off they risk derailing the entire rest of the performance. It's why he's so quick to make jokes when the people doing lighting/audio make mistakes, because not only is it his job to deliver the best performance he can, but because those lighting/audio goofs can throw him off his pacing and screw up his upcoming bits, as well as make the audience lose focus on his point.
It's what kills me about these hecklers. Yes, it's his job to expect interruptions, but that doesn't change the fact that it's incredibly damaging to his show when these interruptions happen.

In the performance at 3:06 Bo actually had a panic attack, and it was irritating him that the audience wouldn't stop singing along, so he actually started improvising to stop them from doing so. I saw the full video a while ago and it honestly broke my heart to see him like that
