It really depends on the user. Your skill and your desire to wield it is what makes the difference. You can make magic on any device as long as you got that itch to create something dope. I would use either a Maschine device or an MPC or a Casio keyboard if I had to. Lol. If you can make noise you can make music… it’s just that simple. I used garage band on my phone to make beats when there was nothing to use. lol. It’s all about the drive and how you are able to manipulate your skill to bend to your will.
It's so true!!! Some of these producers can make absolute heat on their phone using bandlab! It's all about creativity and what inspires you!!! for a long time I was only using Logic Pro X, but I found that I'm more inspired using hardware!! it really is all about your personal preference!!!

Watch - How to Use Everything in MASCHINE MK3, Beat Making Masterclass (Part 1), (2 & 3) - 3 separate videos) by Boris Mezga its in the Native Instruments channel - absolutely the best tutorials and walkthrough of MK3 power - so much easier than reading the manual or watching snippets here and there 😎
I just broke out my Mikro Mk2 after it had been packed up for a long time... I now have a computer that will handle the software, and life has me in a spot to hopefully be able to spend some time learning to use it this winter... If I do get into it a decent bit, I could see getting the Mk3 eventually for the inputs and outputs , new software, and the additional controls... for now I just need to wrap my head around using this thing and learn some basics. cheers
Thank you for the video. Does the MK3 have a key detection feature? I'm not a musician, so if I sample something, I won't know what key it's in. The new generation MPC's have that key detection feature, which I assume makes it easier when knowing how to match your bass to the sample.
It doesn’t have key detection but, u can change the key of the sample to whatever key u want it to be. In the zone section of the sampler (on the 2nd or 3rd page I believe) u can set the key and then tune the sample back to its original tempo… or find a new tempo🤷🏽♂️
Me too. People really hate the maschine software but once you get a hold on it it’s not too bad honestly! Sped up my workflow for sure. I can make loops so quickly now!!
Is the maschine plugin part of the Komplete 15 collectors edition update? I just got Komp 15 collectors but I dont see it.I seem to have maschine Drum selections 1.3.0 .Do I need to upgrade further?
Went from an MK2 to an MPC One Plus and I’m glad I did. With Maschine I always had crashes and technical issues of which I no longer have. Glad I did since MK2 and MK1 support stops on November 6th. Remember resale value of any Maschine device is next to nothing. An Akai always maintains its value or goes up.
@@wm1573 Besides stems what else is worth talking about and we all know what happened with that mess. People hate the way the MPC software works so I don’t see much of anything else. I’m not trying to go lick for lick I’m just saying we will always want more no matter what you use.
Well most plugins people use for NI are third party. I assume he’s mostly showing the workflow and beat orchestration mainly as a controller, without doing it as a stand alone.
The workflow is really insane on these and more user friendly imo opinion in comparison to mpc I tried using the mpc software that comes with the mpk mini and it’s really confusing mpc leans more towards the day one users which isn’t all bad but for new comers to the mpc in general is gonna be a huge learning curve but once you master it its a different story
An added benefit is the embedded sound card. This is something that the MPC Studio does not have. It's relevant if you want to use Traktor and. the Tractor X1 Mk3 which does not have a embedded sound card.
It still has beats in it. Sure. Maschine devices aren’t for me but they still can make music. Why not? They do need to get their users what they want. NI seems to have gone asleep on the Maschine front. I’ll stick to my MPCs and DAWs.
@@BlackBeltTitus yeah ig just because its been around for a while doesn't mean it NEEDS to be replaced. You should make a video on some things that you wish were different about it and would like to see improved on the next version if it happens.
Would not buy at MSRP. Would buy an MPC One, unless you wanted to use it in a PC-based workflow - particularly if you want to use it to control a 3rd party DAW (they work amazingly well with Bitwig Studio). Otherwise, I'd just get a Launchkey MK3 or Oxygen Pro. Those pads are usable for production. Or... save $250 and get the Nektar Pad Controller for $350. $599 is hilariously overpriced given the current market positions and the competitors out these days (MPC One, Nektar Aruba, PreSonus Atom, etc.). The Mikro is more attractive given the price point, but I'd just get the Aruba for $100 more, personally.

I love it , workflow is insane imo the best hands on. Killer beat !
Thanks so much!!! Appreciate it!! You’re right the workflow goes crazy!!
The note repeat saves me so much time honestly
I totally agree
Same here!!! especially for hi Hats
Got mine a couple weeks ago and im learning slowly as a noob lol
Good luck!! It can be a little confusing, but once you get it you never wanna make beats without it!!!

Maschine Software need a serious update to follow up wha'ts currently on the market. For me it's not normal that this software is not 3.0
Yeah they are definitely slow with the updates! But with the komplete integration it has sped up my workflow substantially!!
There is so much pleasure and music in working with Maschine. I love it.
Totally!!!
It is worth buying 😊
I totally agree!!!
Someone has one listed for $250 near me. Its tempting just to have on hand 😂
I bought it for £350 during the Easter holidays, now making beats with it. Thanks guys
Love your vibe! Sick vid

I don’t believe so but there are cheap/ free 3rd party plugins you can get to do this for you inside the maschine MK3
@@BlackBeltTitus Thank you.
Dont listen thid Guy buy an MPC. Trust me MPC IS superior

Got my Mk3 right before Maschine+ released tbh if MPC software wasn't so clunky I would've went with an MPC instead but I've grown to love Maschine

Mine arrives tomorrow.
Unlike Akai, Native Instruments sucks at keeping its groovebox platform up to date.
Yeah honestly it’s definitely something they need to improve on
Then you go to an Akai page and people are complaining about the same thing it never stops😁
@@pwho405 People always complain but unlike NI, these complains wouldn't be fair.

Anytime I see a video titled "Is it still worth buying" I automatically assume it's not worth buying..
Is possible I can insert my own midi notes to it .
It definitely still stands up to the competition.. the only problem is the lack of software updates..
I completely agree
Maschine 3.0 is coming later this year

Can I put my own vocal and sample sounds thru machine and the mk3?
Vocals I’ll be honest is the best but you definitely can thru direct input. Samples yes!!! You can just drag and drop
so dope

should i get this now or wait for an mk4. do you think the advancements in the mk4 will be worth waiting for?
Honestly it’s tough to say. Cuz I’m not even sure the MK4 will drop soon. I love the MK3 but if you want to wait, my guess is it’ll drop in 2025

Synth guitars are insane!!!
Nexus and Along Lab make it easy lol!!!
Update cycle is one of the worst. The last major update to the software (2.5) was 8 years ago!
