It's just such a great feeling when you're making and creating toons and the buzz you get when you stumble upon an oyster or gem of a sound which fits perfectly with the construction.Bit like an Easter Egg hunt. It actually takes me back to childhood and the rush of discovering something unexpectedly new and special. I' m 67 and only picked up Maschine about 10 years ago (Mk1) after fiddling with the Roland MC303...and that was quite a jump, haha. Great video, thanks and cheers and keep makin sonic poetry, but most of all, never lose your sense of fun and exploration.
Love seeing more Maschine + users out there! I bought mine to get away from Ableton creation flow and I almost always have fun banging out beats on the Maschine.
@@distillednoise credo che prima dovrò fare qualche traccia decente e successivamente un upgrade del laptop, poi vedremo... ma ovviamente ci penso già da tempo! 🤣🤣🤣 ahahahah
Just wanted to say that this vid helped me a lot making the decision buying the Maschine+. Not only does it show how to make a cool track, it helped me manage my expectations on what it is and what it isn't. Now that I have a Maschine I love it so much. I think it's such an amazing device to start sketching and jamming right away. I didn't even attach it to my PC for the first month and now that I have it's even better. When I jam in front of some friends they are always blown away by it. Thanks for the great vid!
I'd love to see a video where you take the ideas out of maschine and try jamming into a full arrangement. I also bought a maschine to add some out of the box production tools to my workflow but unfortunately it's kind of become just a groovebox, and once I have a 16 bar loop I just bounce out stems and arrange in a computer.
I agree. I am a beginner but I quickly saw that it is best viewed as a sketch outline and helps me synthesize my thoughts about the parts of an arrangement
@distillednoise I do the same. I have Ableton and Reason+ but eventually all the "parts" of my music end up in Ableton. I use Maschine and Reason+ to develop and assemble my parts but Ableton is my assembly line to get to final product
@@aceboku5I like the fact that Maschine works so well though if you want to keep it as the source as well... like it's easy to go back in and add or tweak stuff and then get new stems or tracks out... also easy to update arrangement in it to keep track outs the right length etc. I found MPC was annoying and more of a one way trip to get into computer... sure it has the plugin mode but meh, not worth trying to sync it up.
So, i had the opportunity to get a free Maschine mikro mk3, i honestly can't belive how easy it was to pick up. I love the software experience as well, but i was impressed how well i could get the grasp of it. I necer produced music even though it was a desire of mine, and this video represents the fun i'm having with it! Thank you
I would love to be able to load a kit and just lock in a sound, then load another kit in the same group but the lock sounds don’t get replaced. So essentially a lock feature. I have to load another group to look at other kits then copy and paste a sound over into the original group. Only downside to this is it overrides any routing into my other daw I.e Logic Pro.
Are you sure it’s not possible? Im not so advance with Maschine but try having a look at the Native Instruments video series on Maschine maybe that feature exists !
@@distillednoiseno it’s not possible and if you can find the answer I’d most appreciate it! It’s quite surprising considering it’s a basic function with other samplers. For example loopclouds drum sampler can do it!
Just imagine being able to load a kit with the patterns and lock a whole channel and midi for example the hats, Then load in another kit and lock in just the kick and so on until you have a groove your happy with then can always replace the samples if need later on. I’m thinking for midi aswell as the sample. It’s just bizarre it’s been out for years and I’ve been requesting it for ages now with no luck 🍀
I only use machine for jamming out a bass or synth now and it’s a shame as would program drums if it had this feature so I use Atlas and Loopcloud Drum instead.
Maschine is great for live stuff. And the expansion packs take all the work out of the basic sound design. Would never use it standalone though, always as a vst plugin
Definetly not :( the passage between maschine and ableton is not so easy. You can open the maschine software as a plugin inside ableton, but mainly if you want to use ableton power you need to turn everything from the maschine into audio for what I know. But I still think it is a good machine since you can easily export to audio all the channels etcetera.
I dont know what it is, but everytime i start on maschine, its going to be a banger😮 or at least something i could work with. A magic box and Its THE workflow for me.
Glad to heat there is someone who love it! I still have to get comfortable with it, but so far i had so much fun and pretty good stuff came out for me too :)
I bought it long before the push 3 was out, also I think Native Instruments sounds are better than Ableton ones. I didn’t like push 2 much, so I’m not sure i will buy the 3 anytime soon.. but we never know ahah
I'm a longtime Ableton user, and have both P3 & M+. If you want a "remote-control-for-Ableton", Push is clearly better... but as a creative sketchpad groovebox, M+ totally wins for me, despite some of it's limitations.
Maschine with software, absolutely yes Standalone, hell no I work exclusively with Maschine since the day of it's release and I would never part with the software : no other software in existence is better optimized for for music production example : ABLETON can runs 10 massive synths at once and Maschine runs 45 instances, no glitch no hiccups: it has surface limitation : but not really, it does way more than anybody believes it does : I wonder what M3 software will introduce? 😁😁😁 Cheers 🥂
Yep I always tell people that Maschine is probably their best bet... MPC is cool but one way transfer to get it to computer... fun though. I am still partial to Toraiz SP-16 though for an all hardware flow, it's pretty awesome. I also enjoy simpler dedicated machines like Volca or TR-8 or smaller synths.

Such a beautiful comment, thanks for the good vibes!! And yes, that feeling is awesome 🥰 likewise, keep enjoying your Maschine 💙

Glad you agree 🤓
Came to make this exact citation. He's so right! Gear doesn't make the music good
Damn dude. You got me ready to leave work and go bang on my MK3 lol. This was fire!!!!
Ahah amazing man!!!

Love the energy and enthusiasm
Please do more videos just like this! I don’t make house too much, more hip hop, boom bap, lofi but I really enjoyed this one❤
I might want to learn how you do those genres :) Thanks !!
Excellent commentary and presentation. Many thanks!!!
This is great, very inspiring. Thanks for the video!!!
Thanks for the message 💙
of the best videos ive watched for maschine workflow, supa inspiring ty for sharing your flow mate, keep it up, true sound_!
Thank you so much 😊
As a beginner I'm focusing on the "PC only" workflow, but the result sounds so good... bravo Francesco! 🇮🇹❤
Grande Angelo! Presto passerai anche tu alle tue prime macchine eheh :)

You’re right! The integration is pretty hard tbh and myself too i didn’t do mych so far
what a helpful video!!! thank you sm!!

I found maschine very good for sketching, i'm on mk3 version + jam.
Yes! And then I move the audio loops into Ableton :)

Let me know here in the comments your thoughts on changing workflow 🤪

Love this vid thx.

Nice to see more newer mk3 content, had mine for years but I don't really use it as much as I should. Where do you get your loops from?
:)
Got them from a bit everywhere. This is a pack called Housemaster
Pls User Sample Pack ☺️
well he knows how tos use that machine+
Could you try a video with maschine daw and not just the hardware
I’ve never used the software so far except for exporting loops from the maschine

Are these samples are pre-loaded on the machine+ or do you load your own? :)
I like this tune. - Sounds a bit like Traumer 😁👍
I loaded them! I don’t think it sounds like traumer bro, maybe other tracks of mine but not this ahah
Nice one, will also get m+ asap. Can You reopen the project in ableton easy ?

Thank you for your video. Can a vocal file be imported into maschine so that music be built around it ?
Sure you can! 😊
@distillednoise Thank you. How to do it ?
Have a look at how to import files into the maschine on the manual, it’s the same as any other sample
Is the machine plus still valid in 2024
The cpu ok to do full songs?
I didnt have cpu issues so far!
hi where can I find that house master kit
You can type on google “Best Service Housemaster” it should pop out 😉
Maschine is the shiiiittttttt😁🤘
Not my style but this is straight heat! Nice bro!
Thank u!!
Is the sidechain effect built into maschine?
There is a way to do it with compressor receiving trigger from the kick.
well it was damn time
Touché
