    People need to learn their equipment before being so eager to upgrade to the newest shiny toy on the market. A lot of people will upgrade but meanwhile only learn about 40-60% of their current machine. Remember the end users (listeners) do not care and most likely have no idea what you used to make a track. It's not about the gun, it's about the shooter.

    I've had a Maschine Mikro MK2 for 8 years... I JUST upgraded to the MK3 as I found a good deal for one on eBay. To me, the MK3 is singlehandedly the most useful and fun piece of hardware for my specific production/hobby needs. If you learn it deeply, it is SO POWERFUL. In Summary, learn your gear, and more specifically learn the MK3 and Maschine software fully, and it is unbelievably versatile. YES, the MK3 still holds up in 2024!

    Great vid. As a MPC & Maschine user, i love NI hardware, i love NKS and being able to adapt 3 party plugins even those not supported, they can be adapted and navigate the plugins sounds. The pad sensitivity kills akai. The missing featur for me is time signature change for each pattern, although there’s a work around. The only thing in 2024 that’s missing is Kontrol MK3 design has made it almost impossible to match the mk2 integration. Wonder what maschine MK4 would improve upon, as MK3 is top notch now….

    I love my Maschine but the integration with Logic Pro os bad. I really would like to be able to fully run Maschine and just have the outputs routed into Logic Pro. Things that need to be integrated (maybe a separate app from NI) - Audio channels, BPM, Midi Notes and Changes. I want full Maschine running and full Logic running, not some VST in Logic.

    The only reason I could see me wanting a new maschine was if the audio had multiple ins and outs for audio and tighter integration between cubase then I’m sold as it stands I create ideas and rhythms on the MK3 and then render them as audio into cubase and it’s a quick workflow to be fair.

    The Mk3 definitely still holds up, I would just like to see a software update.. they really don’t need to put out a new Maschine in my opinion.. just give us a great software update without breaking or taking away what is already there NI .. I would love to be able to use maschine as a vst in studio one and still have use of my transport controls, tap tempo ect.. full screen for The vst version..
    maybe a new standalone version with more ins and outs, adat in and out , more processor power.. (8 and a 16gb ram) option.. But for the controller workflow we don’t need a new machine, we need actual good updates..

    I enjoy my Maschine/Ableton live (testing Waveform 13 -it's very nice) workflow a lot. I just want some updates. It would be great to get a few more sample edit tools. Like more 'detailed' options to stretch samples, for example. While playing samples as an instrument/synth, more modulations/effects would be nice, maybe adding the ability to work with a sample as a granular sample, etc. Just more ways to utilize a sample and play it like its own 'synth'. Maschine is almost there as a truly powerful sampler, and I don't think any of the above example updates would be impossible to add. I feel a solid update to its 'sampler options' would boost sales in a big way. And, of course, Machine software is falling way behind.

The guy, Sim Wong, that bought Ensoniq & E-MU could have carried on the the legacy of the Emulator, Drumulator, SP-1200 and the ASR-10 but, they stop making musical instruments and moved on to more profitable technology. I don't like that while Arturia NKS support they don't support Analog Lab in Maschine. Maschine is fantastic for creating ideas and getting tracks down and has easy MIDI and .wav export to a DAW like Bitwig. But if I can't get access to all the sounds then it's a problems. But overall the MK3 is great hardware and like you said has great sounds.

If you don't already have V Collection and especially Pigments they are fantastic. Bought a Keylab Essential MK3 just to be able to quickly modify that sound. JUST STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT! What more can NI do as far as upgrading features on the hardware piece itself? ALMOST NOTHING! As long as they provide usable updates and your current piece of hardware is still working, BE CONTENT with that!! Look at what Akai did with support of Renaissance and Touch. As far as I've seen and heard, all of NI's hardware is still usable with current Maschine software. I admit that I'd be curious as to what updated features they could incorporate on a new Maschine unit! But again, besides maybe a touch screen, a possible XLR-input and some additional knobs to control some parameters... I truly believe not much is gonna change. (JUST MY OPINION ONLY)

    • @Creative_Spasciz
      @Creative_Spasciz  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Another great comment!!! I agree, in my opinion there really ain't much they can do physically. I think a touch screen would be nice, if it works properly....I would rather keep it to no touch screen and working versus touch screen with an added problem!!

    What I can't stand is the ScanApp. It's poorly written code. Period. If Reason, Ableton Live can get it right why can't NI? After all the money I spent on the controller, sample packs I shouldn't have to find a work around their BS poorly written code.

      @@Creative_Spasciz I have a fuk ton of vst 's. Which some are incompatible to work in Maschine. Both Reason and Ableton have in the scanning feature the ability to skip over the one's it's having problems with and never having to scan them again. This is a code solution. NI instead wants me to find the vst it doesn't like and remove them from their folder. This is insane because of the amount of vst's I have. I've tried every solution to minimize this flaw in their program when NI could remedy this by just looking at what Reason and Ableton did to remedy it.

      @@Creative_Spasciz Have an mpc live right now. Pretty much as a sampler and resampler so i dont program on it much. Just sample, chop and bring those chops into a DAW. Makes it so dont have to sit in front of a computer doing the tedious stuff and its portable. Record samples or some chord progressions resampling the plugins, shop it up and off to the races. I had a machine and a maschine+ in the past, liked the workflow but saw everything else moving beyond it. Like maschine software sort of stopped updating aroudn the auto-sampler and polysynth updates. Havent heard anything about it since. Since them the MPC has added plugin instruments in standalone, tons of pretty good FX and functionality and now they are bringing STEMs. NI is just not that great a company anymore so beware since their support for products is pretty slow or if anything at all. BUT, if you groove with it, then its all good cause thats what matters most but NI has been a disappointment. Master of presets and kontakt.

Its more pronounced if you wanted to say have 2 keyboards following the tracks on 2 different groups. When you go back to pafs, all the keyboards kinda click over with it instead of stay put. Theres no easy way to say be triggering sounds on the maschine on jam, while playing along lead on the keyboard unless you drop the keyboard to midi mode and just permanently leave it there.
