I really like the antique gold, I wish I had bought the rest as well. I've been using vallejo metal colour to mix.

I've been playing around with the Copper a little, and I really like it as well. VMC is a great medium for it. What I might try if I really want to push the shine is Duraluminum with the metal varnish used as an actual varnish.

I am very fond of my vallejo liquid gold, but I may need to try this one out. Looks good.

I have tried Liquid Gold. This is about as good, but without the hassle of dealing with IPA to paint.

I used these for Custodes with a drybrush highlight of Vallejo metal colour Chrome either mixed in or on its own over the Greenstuffworld metals. I tried using oils for a wash for a completely gold figure but found the oils can interfere with the reflectivity of the gold paint, so i went with Games Workshop Gloss brown washes.

Yeah. I was more targeted with oils on this than my usual "slather it all over" method.

@@MTFTabletop Adding flow improver and drying retarder can make them act more like oils, i'll give an oil pincash another go in the future but glossy acrylics like an ink wash or gloss GW shades tend to work the best for metals if you want a pristine shiny look.

The GSW metal pigments are indeed great and the coverage is amazing.
If you don't want to have to mix every time, they're easy to pre'mix in a dropper bottle/s.
These and the VMC are my go to metal paints, unless I want something special.

Good call on pre-mixing a bottle! I may do that.

make sure you shake it every once and a while if you do pre-mix, mine settled out and hardened. it may have been possible to save but shaking wasn't really enough and its hard to mix in the dropper bottles.

That is a good one ☝🏻 😍. What is the best mix ratio for in a dropper bottle?

I assume based on your use of cheap brushes to not damage good ones this is not something you should run through an airbrush?

Can I ask what brand of burt sienna oil for the wash you used? Also, how long you left it to dry before using the makeup sponge? I really like the final result you got there and want to try oil washes. Great vid, thanks!

Winsor and Newton Winton for the brand. I usually give it a half hour or so before I clean up with a sponge. Glad to help!

Great stuff, I just ordered some. Just wonder, could it be Alclad aqua gloss also a good medium for mixing?
