Love your videos dude, hope you continue with them :) ALSO, a suggestion I have for a future video is “A Mann’s Guide to the Quickie-bomb Launcher” as it’s a criminally underrated weapon with enough depth to make a 30 minute video on it.
Nice to see someone else realize the value of the huntsman. There's a reason I spent way too much money on a strange professional kill streak huntsman with an invisible spy kill counter and named it "The Bow-ner"
I don't have strange/ killstreak kinda money to spend on the game but I do have a regular huntsman with a rename and description called The Arrow Ace lmao
I hated it when Sound Smith bait n' switched me with the backburner video because I was so hyped for A Mann's Guide to the Huntsman. Yet now I see the true nature of the unexpectedness of the Backburner, as it gives us one final surprise in the video we always expected. Thank you sound smith from the team fortress 2. Also, when do we get A Mann's guide to the Holy Mackerel?
There's something about hitting an invisible spy square in the face and seeing the split second ragdoll of him with an arrow through his head that just tickles me silly.
Having watched this video like 5 times since it released, I still can’t get over the Weaponized Jank section’s music. I adore how Baby Park’s backing track opens the section, and the full song doesn’t start until we see the words Weaponized Jank. I’ve always loved Audio and Visuals syncing to tell a story.
*_Am I the only one to notice that the arrow at _**_1:12_**_ technically MISSED, but because of the in-game mechanics, reality just said "yeah that was a headshot" and dragged Pyro's head into it?_*
The most common consensus for the janky hitbox is because it's base is close if not based on rockets (it's already a projectile so no extra work has to be done to create a whole new kind of projectile), it's teleport is a relic of how splash works for rockets.
My heart is bigger than the huntsman headshot radius, thank you for two manns guides in a month SoundSmith! edit: my heart has exploded due to the sheer mass and weight of the hit box

The points made at 7:00 pretty much summarise all my success with the huntsman completely. Rather the learning how to calculate the projectile in a fluid environment it's far easier to just get used to where the various "high probability" areas are on a map. Every map has those chokes, doorways, corridors, and corners where there are always going to have people flowing through them. So once you know the rough head height angle to fire the arrow, it's a super high chance it's going to hit -someone-.
This was hilarious. this vid had soo many screenshottable moments, loved the animations and of course the narration was great too! Man, Soundsmith, you are absolutely goated

Not only do we get two Mann's Guides in one month but we also get the first word of How it feels to play Medic

okay whoever pitched this idea to soundsmith of making a reference to that one scout cirno fumo video is a genius
and if soundsmith was the one who wrote this joke in, then that means he at least somewhat indulges in tf2 memes and is also aware of fumos
the character development is insane
HOLY CRAP THE MUSIC DURING THE TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES IS THAT SONG EVERYONE USES BUT WITH THE STEREOTYPES INSTRUMENT
Oh i am so glad im not the only one who noticed it
Without a doubt it was SerialArtistry. That demon usually storyboards for soundsmith and he's the guy who memed warpaint stereotypes into reality so it's not far off of something he'd suggest.
Also the music was originally used for a collection of all the stereotypes without some of the older and longer gags and I gotta say it's stupidity and cleverness cannot be untapped.
eh, about the fumo, I'm sure he was aware of Touhou before this. He inserted in Touhou GIFs in a Spy Cosmetics Stereotypes video.
@@jamesbrendan5170 Yea, the Remilia finger twirl and Reisen over Lucky Star, but the context of that edit was him making fun of weeaboo spy mains who overedit everything, so I didn't really consider him knowing about Touhou since he was probably just looking for "generic anime kawaii edit" gifs and pngs and they just happened to pop up because of how popular Touhou is in Japan.
Oh my god, at 9:14 you said "can't have shit in this game" then it cuts to Brazil. Fucking hilarious.
i love how we crawled out of madness instead of decending into it, every mans guides starts seroius and ends in a comedic way, but we went the other way with this one
nice one soundsmith
I'm very glad someone noticed this! The structure is reversed this time
@@SoundSmithTF2I love the millisecond pop up memes keep it up
9:30 I just want you to know, Smith of Sounds, that the single frame of wheeze soldier almost killed me because I was taking a bite of pizza when it happened XD
ragdoll funny
So first of all let me just say, this is hands down the most well done video you have made to date. Everything is absolutely on point. The jokes, the animation, the sound design, the script itself. It is actually amazing. I don't how much effort and time went into this one, especially considering you released two at once, but this one is genuinely amazing. Congratulations.
Krunkidile is an absolute chef with SFM. The animations are so lifelike, you'd swear they were using mocap!
That joke about lazy purple is golden
also a bit sad because we will probably never get the medic video

2 Mann's Guides in one month? And the editing and sound design on this video?! You, my Mann, are INCREDIBLE!
16:12 the music is "get enuf" from Bombrush cyberfunk
Thanks!
Thank you!
Thank you :D
You beautiful bastard, thank you.
Thanks mate!
this might be my favorite Sam Smith video ever made. the bait and switch with the back burner only to lead to actually doing the Huntsman and it being such a quality video like this is absolutely magnificent.
Absolutely crazy for this one Soundsmith, Heart goes out to you and those you work with.
You’ve been working incredibly hard dude. The animation and quality of this video is super good, and the fact you posted this only 2 weeks after the Backburner video is insane.
Love your videos dude, hope you continue with them :)
ALSO, a suggestion I have for a future video is “A Mann’s Guide to the Quickie-bomb Launcher” as it’s a criminally underrated weapon with enough depth to make a 30 minute video on it.
2:14 I love the technical difficulties graphic along side the stereotypes theme.
Nice to see someone else realize the value of the huntsman. There's a reason I spent way too much money on a strange professional kill streak huntsman with an invisible spy kill counter and named it "The Bow-ner"
@@Lawlz4Dayzz bait used to believable
I don't have strange/ killstreak kinda money to spend on the game but I do have a regular huntsman with a rename and description called The Arrow Ace lmao
@@jameshibberd5134 Dammit that's good! Mind if I steal, I MEAN BORROW, that joke?
@shadowldrago Oh believe me, that jokes probably older than me. Ive got no idea who came up with it but go for it lmao
I swear the Bows have a hidden stat called "Arrows magnetize to invisible Spy heads"
14:39 i audibly gasped at how funny this is
PUT THIS AS A SHORT I've watched it like 5 times
This video and the backburner one single-handedly proved that LazyPurple is still alive and kicking lol. Incredible work on the video!
The jerma bit with the spy had me fucking rolling on the floor you soundsmith are a gentleman and a scholar
Jermaaaaa!
Two Mann's Guides were all we wanted for Smissmas this year
6:33 describes exactly how soundsmith pleads innocent in court
2:20 i started shaking im so excited.
This is one of the most well made animations I've ever seen, and with that Lazypurple cameo!
My heart is bigger than the huntsman headshot radius, thank you for two manns guides in a month SoundSmith!
edit: my heart has exploded due to the sheer mass and weight of the hit box
I think that needs to be checked out
Bro's torso is a heart now
We got 2 Manns Guide's in 1 month *This really is a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE* and a wonderful gift from Soundsmith!.
Love to see how the animations and and editing has improved so much though
18:01 you nearly made me cry till you did this, thanks mate!
5:44 I feel like that should have been 'Did he Mean to Kill that Mann,' but that's just me
1:32 that "What?" was so expressive holy shit
"By picking this weapon, you are basically sacrificing any respect the enemy team may have for you"
If I wanted respect I wouldn't play Sniper.
So happy you were able to get Jerma on this project ☺️ Sad what he did to those pedestrians in his 2007 toyota explorer in ‘99 but it was still great seeing such an old performance artist still keep up with the times, just like his peers Leonardo and Davinci

We have entered the multiverse with this one.
The back burner is one timeline
The huntsman is a different timeline
The show is procedural, every Mann's guide is a different timeline
The manns guide lore had been built
Ok but what has the Christolee show to do with it other then being a sponsors for one of the Manns guides?
Thank you so much for being consistantly funny, you're one of my favorite comfort youtubers.
Also, it might be weird to say thanks for that but thank you for wearing those pride pins. It does mean a lot to me, the random viewer you don't know at all.
tl;dr: you're cool here's some money
The points made at 7:00 pretty much summarise all my success with the huntsman completely. Rather the learning how to calculate the projectile in a fluid environment it's far easier to just get used to where the various "high probability" areas are on a map.
Every map has those chokes, doorways, corridors, and corners where there are always going to have people flowing through them. So once you know the rough head height angle to fire the arrow, it's a super high chance it's going to hit -someone-.
holy smokes this was not expected
Like the backburner.....

I wonder if that was intentional

two masterpieces so close together. seriously. these videos are beautiful, thank you Soundsmith and co.
16:10 SoundSmith once again utilizing explosive jumping tech on classes that honestly should not have access to it and yet it STILL WORKS.
I like that, in the section where soundsmith is showing off his smithed sounds...the puff from the flamethrower's pilot light matches up with the veloceraptors hiss
2:19 How it feels to play Medic, please Mr LazyPurple!
2:45 okay, the set-up for this is honestly pretty great. There's a lot of great jokes here.
The Huntsman: Sniper's first sidegrade that feels different from all of the other Sniper Rifles.
God bless you for not cheapening the ending of this video with an overdominant cheap joke. You deserve a medal of honor.
The fact that WRONG ENEMY !? kicks in at 5:21 is fucking genius
2:43 freaking love that hitbox joke, man 🤣🤣🤣
The montage at 16:12 is easily some of your best work yet. I originally subbed for stereotypes, but like you, I've moved on from that and have come to appreciate you for just how dang funny you are, and how dang good your edits are. Your Huntsman content in particular is usually some of my favorite, so this entire video is already above the rest, but I just can't get enough of that montage with how good the editing is.
Everybody give this man a standing ovation.
Fun fact, the wiggens person he headshots at 17:20 is part of a friend group of toxic players that roam 2fort. The most vocal is Lady Deth who once accused my friend of cheating after getting dommed by my friend on demoknight. Since then they have accused us in every lobby
you glaring at the whiteboard at 1:45 is so damn funny and also highly exploitable. Can't wait for the memes to show up on that one..
Can’t wait for the bonus clips for this Mann’s guide as well, keep up the good work man.
Maybe the real Mann's guide to the backburner were the friends we made along the way.
Im gonna be honest The Huntsman is one of my favourite weapons and to see a entire 19 minute video about it really makes me happy, the HIFTP Medic scene just makes me laugh too
